A small exhibit, but some of her best work is displayed here. I found it very moving. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, as I was visiting with my baby in the pram.

Very interesting museum about a female artist and her life work. The etchings are from a very dark time in Europe. She experienced the death of her own son in WW1 and much personal suffering and death she witnessed. She championed the cause of the poor and oppressed. I left her exhibition with a great degree of appreciation and affection. A lot of her etchings deal with suffering and death. The beginning years were much more joyful. She was an accomplished sculptor worker and all three of her known sculpture works are in the Museum. My favorite sculpture was two babies in the arm of a loving mother.

Small over 3 levels and every inch intense and moving. What great work and what focus. Loved it all. Of course, contrary to her life, the museum lives in a very upmarket street of the Kurfurstendam. But that has other advantages. Great museum with lovely lady on front desk.

A very nice, manageable museum, with grate works of KW, and good insights into her different techniques. Located within a recently refurbished wing of the Charlottenburg Castle.

The museum was on limited display when we visit due to building work, however the work we saw was so breathtaking and thought provoking definitely still worth the trip. Life changing exhibit, we walked around twice. Close to train station (maybe 10mins walk) has lockers, toilets.

7 euro entry fee or discount with berlin welcome card. Good collection of lithographs, bronze busts and sketches. Intense artwork reflective of what the artist experienced in the area she lived in. Good stop if you enjoy art and visiting the Charlottenburg palace or free gardens at the rear of the building. Stairs at entrance. No elevator for wheelchair access

Absolutely worth seeing - I (consciously) didn't know any pictures. It was an inspiring encounter with your works of art for me. The works radiate a wide variety of emotions. She put these impressively on paper. In some etchings, many emotions, suffering, joy, and more can be seen. Explore it personally! Don't forget a visit at the "Neue Wache" with a Bronce inspired by her.

You definitely know more about Käthe Kollwitz visiting this small but fantastic museum. She is one of the artists who understood and depicted the impact of poverty, hunger and war on people, especially women and children.
