I was extremely impressed. After a long day of hiking in the rocky mountain national park, we needed something filling and warm. Not only did this place check those boxes but, it was very good. The service was nice and everyone enjoyed their food. Best part was the price. I’ve had plenty of Indian food but, I have noticed the cost skyrocketing. This place is affordable and just as good.

Google
They had a yummy buffet! I really enjoyed the ambiance and it being located in the mountains is awesome.

We stopped here on way back from our honeymoon in Estes and enjoyed a Sunday Buffet. The food was SO good! Usually rice is left out in the open to dry out in buffets, but the rice here was kept in a nice rice warmer so that it tasted fresh. The hospitality was awesome as well and loved being able to sit on the porch with our dog. I’ve always enjoyed Nederland as a very different town and would highly recommend this restaurant as a lovely place to eat!

This is a great buffet at a decent price as well. This buffet nestled in a small Bohemian style town probably caters to its locals besides tourists judging by both the price/quality and the amount of locals seen eating there. With a variety of curries and both meat and vegetarian options it's a great option to fill the belly and not break the bank.

Yummy and authentic Nepali and Indian food nestled among the hills, in a very cozy setup. The lunch buffet is a mecca for vegetarian food lovers. Service is warm, friendly and will definitely transport you to the beautiful culture of the Himalayan kingdom.

Everything was delicious. (forgot to snap pics of some amazing foods) High quality food, and very mildly spiced samosas. A nice change to comfort digestive system, even though spicy can be delicious too. Relaxing atmosphere!

After a day of skiing, this was the perfect restaurant to go to for a delicious filling meal! We got the buffet and there were so many tasty options. We were both very full and satisfied after the meal, and it was absolutely delicious and authentic food. The service was amazing and everyone was very friendly. We are definitely coming back!

Delicious fresh food. Well stocked buffet.

Yelp
One of the enduring legacies of our trek to Mount Everest Base Camp is a never ending love for Nepalese food. After a nice weekend of skiing in the backcountry, it's so nice to stop at Kathmandu and enjoy there freshly prepared buffet with a hot chai tea. My faves are the chow chow, chili chicken, samosa and veg curry. The options rotate from visit to visit but there is always a compliment of vegetables and proteins to pair with your naan or samosa. Tons of vegetarians options on the menu as well. The service is always the same. Minimalist but enough to keep you happy. They keep the dirty plates at bay and keep fresh food stocked on the buffet until about 30 minutes before they close for lunch which is around 3pm. We've been here when it's standing room only but they have lots of seating up to groups or 14 so generally they can accommodate most anyone who walks in the door. They have minimal dessert items which is of little concern and they have a reasonable bar selection ass well. Love this place and highly recommend it to anyone who loves Nepalese or Indian inspired foods.

Yelp
Delicious buffet Excellent lassi also. Thanks to Ben for the great suggestion A bit cold outside but nice atmosphere.

Yelp
Another wonderful meal here! We did the lunch buffet, which sounds mundane, but such a huge selection of entrees and sides! Comfortable indoor seating but there's a patio for warm days. Servers were prompt with drinks, clearing plates (sometimes an issue at a buffet) and bringing the check. Definitely worth checking out if you're going through Nederland at mealtime.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch and they had a great buffet! Cost about $20/each. Also a menu to order off. Buffet had a good selection some spicy and some not. Great flavors!! Some of the dishes needed to be refilled, but we got Plenty of food! Everywhere else in Nederland was stupid crowded and this was a great secret spot!

Yelp
We were driving on the peak to peak highway on a very hot day and decided to stop in Nederland for lunch. Though the town was crowded, we stumbled upon this wonderful oasis which was just what we needed. The restaurant was sparkling clean with relaxing music playing. The service was friendly and attentive. We shared a mango lasso and both decided to get the buffet. It was plentiful and delicious. I especially liked the sweet potato curry, the chili chicken and the sautéed cabbage but everything was so good! It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Yelp
We came for the lunch buffet and it cost $19 per person. Very reasonable for the many options. The food was delicious, only the butter chicken was dry. Service was swift and attentive, and the ambiance was pleasant.

Yelp
A good Nepalese restaurant in a small mountain town seems improbable, but this one is the real deal. With plenty of dining space, both indoor and out (though indoor is more aesthetically pleasing, many people still choose to eat outdoors because of the pandemic). We had lamb curry (a rich dark brown curry) and fish curry (a yellow curry). Both came with rice and had great flavor. As is common in many Indian restaurants (and Nepalese food is very similar), the meat and fish were tasty. The lamb was a little chewy (flavorful, but not prime), and the fish was a fish steak (tuna or swordfish consistency). Both dishes came with plenty of plain white rice. So, for a small mountain town, Kathmandu way exceeded expectations. Compared to big-city Indian offerings, this was pretty standard.

Yelp
So good it made me cry of happiness. If my family comes back here to snowboard which we will, we will definitely come back. Recommend to many others please come and try.

Yelp
Wanted a cozy dinner on a Friday night after a week of dumping snow, and this place is it! They have a full menu, but also a full buffet the Friday night we went. It was really good and quick and easy. Service was nice and friendly!

Yelp
Really tasty food. Would highly recommend stopping here if you are in town. Reasonable prices and a great all you can eat lunch.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was great! And the Ambiance was great too! I got the lamb curry and the mango custard which both were delicious! We're visiting from out of state and really enjoyed ourselves here.

Yelp
Delicious food, really liked this Mom and Pop small place high up in Nederland. Party of 8. Everyone liked the hospitality and food. Some coming here for decades. In a small town as a tourist you could miss one of the best little places. Would come back again.

Yelp
Delicious! Kind, attentive staff, fast service and HEARTY portions! We come here from Centennial for the masala

Pat G.

Yelp
We used to love this place. But won't be going back. Not only was the buffet selection rather poor, but most of the dishes in the hot trays were actually cold, including the rice! Worst of all it gave me food poisoning. I was up all night with terrible stomach pains and diarrhea.

Yelp
My fiancé craved this place from the moment we planned the trip to Nederland. When we stepped into the charming restaurant, we were immediately greeted and sat down by the owners who were constantly very attentive and friendly the whole time. We only ordered 2 entrees and an appetizer to share, but the menu was ginormous! I have to say everything we got was so so delicious and we had plenty of leftovers to take home. I'm still working on finishing off the rice! That lamb curry was pretty addicting I might have to get that one next time. I also need to try their chai beverages next time! Sounds like a lot of people enjoyed it.

Yelp
We are at the lunch buffet, SO yummy. I would never think to eat Indian and Nepalese food in a small town in CO. Best Indian I've had ever!! We tried almost everything, the chicken curry with the naan was delicious! Also the vegan palak paneer was so good. We ate outside with a great view!

Yelp
This place is such a gem. Great find for Nepalese food in Nederland! Might look a little unassuming, from the signs it looks like they are in a temporary location. Parking is on that little side street, but it's pretty walkable if you end up having to park a street over. When we went for indoor dining they were using all disposable cutlery and plates - apparently they were having some dishwasher issues. But the food was so bomb, it didn't even matter. I would say prices are consistent with other Colorado prices, which is to say around the 11-13 dollar mark. Service was friendly, masked up, and tables were spaced out with windows open for the COVID cautious. We shared chicken momos and a cheese paratha, and I got the chicken tikka masala while my friend got the chicken curry. The momos were FANTASTIC, and the sauces/chutneys they came with were delicious - the tomato one had some heat, there was a green one with some good zing, and there was a sweet one (tamarind maybe?) that paired well with the tomato one. I loved my curry, which came with rice and had a good portion of chicken in it and with the momos I had plenty for leftovers. The paratha I thought was just okay, it was almost like a quesadilla. It was fine and good to dip in the curry, just nothing mind-blowing. Overall, I would love to swing by again on my trip down from the mountains. The food was dank and hit the spot after a day of hiking!

Yelp
First time in this place and we loved it! Such a warm place with great hospitality. Incredible arrived and super delicious food. I had Tikka Masala with chicken, samosa and panir. My husband had mixed veggies with curry. Everything was so fresh and so tasty. Their samosa is incredible delicious and we had a great rice pudding. Definitely a place to stop by for lunch or dinner if you are in the area! We will definitely come back!

Yelp
Nederland is a decent day trip. On the "Good-Meh-Suck" scale, this was a "solid Meh+". The place is buffet only. The food is ok but not great. Would I go back? Maybe but not likely as there appears to be tons of choices in the area. Enjoy
google avatar

Breyer K.

Yelp
Genuinely the best food I've had in my life. We travel 2 hours each way to get this when we have the chance. So glad they got their larger location in Nederland, they deserve it.

Yelp
Always like supporting my local joints when possible. This place serves up average Indian food that'll scratch the itch when necessary, without requiring a trip down the mountains to Boulder/similar. I also REALLY appreciate the fact they are open later (10pm) than any other option up here. Sometimes getting to dinner by 7pm (so you aren't rudely showing up before they close at 8pm) can be a challenge and this place is a great backup. I've always gone during dinner- will check out their lunch (I think they might offer a buffet?) at some point and see if that experience is different. I HAVE seen their parking lot busy on weekends and/or earlier in the day a couple times. But it's always very dead when I'm there. Maybe one or two other tables seated, or it'll be just us. They are always super friendly, nice, and attentive. This CAN be interesting because when it's just us, it's almost TOO attentive (can make having a conversation feel like they're involved in the conversation too). But let's be real...the trade off for kind service is worth it. Prices are in line with what you would expect for Indian food in the "greater Denver" area and especially considering the location in Nederland (which is universally a tad higher). You'll pay roughly $15 for an entree. Portions are good and usually enough for leftovers. The Saag Paneer is excellent and I would recommend. The reason I struggle and would describe the food as "mediocre" is primarily twofold- 1) many of the sauces taste and look the same despite being labeled and described differently, and 2) overall, most of the sauces are VERY sweet. An example would be their chicken tikka masala and chicken curry. I STRONGLY suggest ordering a spice level (or two) above what you'd typically get to try and mitigate the sweetness. The proteins are neither dry nor particularly juicy/tender. Somewhere in the middle. So yeah, I'll be back. Happy to give them four stars and continue supporting. Just wish the flavors were better- in particular, not so heavy handed with the sweetness, and more distinction between sauces that should be distinct.

Yelp
This spot is great for warm, comforting and filling food - even if you are on a budget. Whether it's summer adventuring, or spring skiing this lunch buffet has something to quell your hunger. Vegetarian? no problem. Can't take the heat (spicy heat that is)? no problem. Hungry n-o-w? The buffet is plentiful and ripe for the picking. On my most recent visit there were three types of rice, as well as many options that were free from dairy, meat, and gluten making it friendly for all in our group. The naan was hot and fresh and saag was salty and satisfying. The only thing that didn't taste quite the same as usual was the rice pudding. The staff are efficient and pleasant. The seating is plentiful with options both inside and out. I'll definitely be back soon!

Yelp
Wanted to try something new after a day at Eldora. Our family of 5 tried different dishes and all were very happy with our choices. Service was quick and easy everything was very clean. Great place for a nice family dinner.

Eli M.

Yelp
They did not give me my Momos in time They should try to hand them out with the rest of the food But everything else was good The service was fine Ambiance
google avatar

Becca M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. The food has a homemade, fresh taste. Get there for the buffet and be sure to try the tiki masala.

Yelp
What a wonderful surprise in the strip mall of Nederland! We came in for lunch buffet. I was shocked at the number of options available... there were at least 12 trays! I grabbed some naan, samosas, and loaded my plate with curries, masalas, saag paneer, and more. Everything I tried was so buttery and flavorful. If I ever come by, I'd most definitely stop here for a visit.

El T.

Yelp
Great buffet selection. However, the tikka masala was disappointing. It lacked flavor and seasoning. It tasted like chunks of chicken tossed in a sauce. The chicken curry wasn't too bad. The rest were okay. I wasn't impressed by the quality at all. I would skip this next time I'm in the area.

Anne P.

Yelp
Get the Tandoori chicken with a side of naan bread. It will be one of the best meals you will have in your life. Check out my other reviews to see that I don't normally give this good of a review. Just be careful to turn away and not breathe in the smoke when they bring it to your table.

Yelp
There's always a tasty meal to be had here! Great food, great staff, and right in the middle of town. You can't go wrong!

Brian X.

Yelp
Loved this place after a day of skiing Eldora. Fast service, solid food, and affordable.

Yelp
This place is wonderful and full of great people! I regularly stop by here after a hike for their lunch special (buffet style, all delicious!). I've brought a few people here too & they've loved it as well. It's a great way to get a little bit of all of their dishes and get some energy back after an active day! They've got a lot of outdoor space which humans & dogs enjoy. Inside is full of enticing smells that will pull you in from the street. I believe they're just at their current location for a little while, but no matter where they are in Ned, make sure you stop in!
google avatar

Phil G.

Yelp
One of the most reliably good restaurants in Ned. Very good for lunch, dinner or takeout. It has a full bar and a solid set of draft beers. The menu has a large range of meat and vegetable dishes as well as several sets of naan. We order saag paneer every time we eat this style food and they make it well here. The daal is served as a soup in broth rather than as a bean dish. In the meat arena, I favor the jal frezi. Parking is generally available except on heavy tourist days.

Caitlin C.

Yelp
I had the lunch buffet, which was an excellent value and very vegan friendly (and helpfully labeled!). The service was attentive and friendly.
google avatar

Casey B.

Yelp
Everything has great flavor. Service is prompt. Good selection of wine and cocktails.
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Yummy vegetable momos and delicious samosas. Perfect for post-hike! No beer, but plenty of places around to chase with beers afterwards (like Busey Brewery).
google avatar

Janelle F.

Yelp
The food was great !!!! Lots of options ! Staff was friendly and prices are reasonable , the portions are plenty I would come back and would recommend.
google avatar

Dan L.

Yelp
Excelleni Indian food and one Nepali dish - momos or maybe Tibetan . Big portions/ saag ghosh chicken korma, pakoras, garlic naan , chaana masala, rice. All excellent. Also a big drink menu - including mixed drinks, beers, wines. Food is not that spicy - probably okay with locals. A little expensive - $15 entrees but wiorth it
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
This is one of those Indian restaurants where the quality of the food ordered off of the menu is significantly better than that from the buffet. The buffet is still good and I definitely still get it sometimes, but if you want this place's best effort, order off of the menu. If you never have, you're missing out. I'm super excited that this place exists in Ned. Indian and Nepalese food is the very best food, at least in my world.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Loved this place ! It was absolutely delicious. The service was extreme fast. It seems they have the food ready to go. I got the meat lunch special. It was sooo much food I even had some leftover for dinner. It came with chicken tikka masala, curry, samosa, vegetable chow and some type of pasta it was all truly great. Highly recommend if your in the area. Plate was $12.99
google avatar

J G.

Yelp
Wow, great jewel in the middle of the peak to peak hwy. We had the chicken chow chow and had great taste and huge portion. Friendly staff topped off a great lunch
google avatar

Tye R.

Yelp
We all had the buffet and it was good! The mango custard was tasty. They had a smattering of different Currys, rice, and veggie selections.

Freeman C.

Yelp
Thr There tea was amazing and the buffet was great. I would highly recommend
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Been waiting to go here forever. It smells like a dirty fish tank and the menu is too large. Bad recipe

Hannah J.

Yelp
What a gem! The food and service were both amazing. We had a large group and they were so accommodating. The sweet potato masala and vegetable momo were perfect.
google avatar

Susan A.

Yelp
There were 8 of us in town and we stumbled upon this place. Very friendly service and the food was tasty, scrumptious and zesty. We had garlic naan, mango and rose lassis and lots of great vegetarian dishes. They refilled our second naan order lickey-split! The beer prices are amazing-$4 for a pint of New Belgium-small town prices for big city beer. And the patio was lovely! Highly recommend

Elise S.

Yelp
The lunch buffet was clean, delicious and well priced. I adored their mango sauces for the vegatbles and their noodle dish was delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Recommended: Paneer Masala 5/5 Lamb Curry 5/5 Chai Tea 5/5 Coming from the SF Bay Area, we have a tons of good Indian restaurant. I would never expect I could run into the best Indian/Nepalese cuisine I've ever had in a small town after a long day hike in the Rocky Mountains. We were debating whether we want to have dinner in Netheland or in Boulder. After reading a review in yelp about people would drive 30 mins to this town just for this restaurant - we decided to give it a shot. It turned out to be a great choice!! Menu looked pretty authentic. We ordered a garlic potato naan (forgot the name..), paneer masala, lamb curry and chai tea. I especially liked the silver bowls they used to serve the entree. Both entrees tasted awesome!! It went so well with the rice and the naan. We almost emptied every plate.. One more awesome thing to mention - the chai tea was bottom less!
google avatar

Jazmin H.

Yelp
We get take-out here about once a week. Everything has been amazing. For vegetarians I recommend the sweet potatoe masala and the saag tofu (they can do vegan upon request). Their chai is classic, sweet and milky.
google avatar

Pamela J.

Yelp
Restaurant is located in a temporary location for another month or so while remodeling. We sat outside at a picnic table. GET THE CHAI TEA! Absolutely delicious and helps with waiting for food-- since it does take awhile. All food is very fresh and scrumptious. Had to eat in paper plates and plastic, so not ideal. But the food was very tasty.
