The babka was off the hook and so was the cheese pastie. We also had cappuccino, espresso, and ginger beer. Highly recommend! Yum!

They had great cookies but it took an hour for two cups of coffee to come out. While they obviously forgot about the coffees, they pretended like it was all planned and we had to wait another 10 minutes on top. In short, don’t go. Workers don’t know what they are doing.

Average. Cookie was too thin, just plain sweet taste, not great chocolate notes. Other pastry was also average, though jam was subtle and tasty. Résumé: Name is bigger than quality.

It was quite good. The decaf cappuccino (3.5€) was tender and soft. The chocolate cake(5€) was good enough. ✅️ English ✅️ Card payment (no amex)

Do NOT bring your business here. It hurts me to type this review as this used to be one of my favourite cafes, but after interacting with the owner (Ngoc) I can confidently say I have never met anyone more full of themselves yet have no clue about anything going on in their business. I asked some lovely barista about the baked goods this week, and was given a warning that the quality might not be amazing as some out of left field firing from the bakery has been done and yeah another indicator of a business spilaring downhill. It’s a shame as the staff is lovely, but the owner is definitely running things into the ground. It’s palpable how much the atmosphere changes as soon as the owner/manager arrives as every single staff member loses motivation when she enters. All praises to the staff working here though! They’re all grand and it’s a shame as to what’s happening with the business.

Golden Latte was ok. The baked goods (I had an Ansak cookie) were superb though. Cute location. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the service. But when we were there, sometime about 4 in the afternoon on a long weekend, the two baristas/servers were totally ran ragged. There must've been about 40 customers. I can see why the service is slow but yeah, they were really doing the best they can. Perhaps the cafe can consider getting someone extra for the busy periods. Plenty of lactose free and vegan options.

Cozy and lovely place. I had a delicious BLT sandwich and my sister got a big glass of musli & yogurt. We also had a glass of apple juice and iced black coffee. It was a nice brunch. Desserts also looked so delicious. Plus, nice location with other lovely stores.

Love the coffee and vibes normally but the service isn’t great - heard the barista asking to the cashier what an americano was lol after waiting 25 mins for my cappuccino while the barista told me “it was more convenient to make other orders first” although I had ordered first haha. Maybe need to adjust there otherwise its cute

Yelp
Visited on 5 April 2023 Tried: chocolate chip cookie, earl grey shortbread cookie Thoughts: - first came across these baked goods in a Berlin food/market hall from a coffee vendor (forget the name). was in love after the first bite of the earl grey shortbread, but they don't have it every week, so I asked about it and found out about the Katie's location

Yelp
This bakery is a godsend for Americans who crave the pastries they're used to back home. You know what, sometimes you just want a chocolate chip cookie. Katie's does this and much more (scones, cinnamon rolls, pies, cakes including vegan options). The interior is very cute, though often full of expats as it's become quite popular. The prices are fair, and the staff always nice. I don't drink coffee normally, so I can't comment on that. I'm very happy to live near here. Even if you don't, it's worth the trip.

Yelp
The place is very cute and the staff is nice. But it's quite small and crowded so I had to share the table with three strangers (which I don't mind but some people may not like it). I was really disappointed that they don't really have any gluten free option (I mean, they had one but just the usual cookie) I took a coffee with soy milk which was good.

Yelp
Wanted to give these guys 5 stars. I've been here 4 times in the last 3 days and their coffee is great. They have a nice selection of homemade baked goods that are delicious. However during my last visit I was corrected by the guy behind the bar when I ordered a large latte to go. According to him a latte is a latte and there's no such think as a large latte. His exact words were "that doesn't exist anywhere in the world". And then he gave me a self satisfied smirk and stared at me. Really. Like he was waiting for me to dispute or accept that fact before he continued. So I said "well I'll take that then". And then he rang me up and they started making my one-size-fits-all latte. What followed was an extremely uncomfortable wait while my coffee was being made, to the point I was glad to just get out of there. I wanted to order some food to take with me but that whole exchange was so unnerving and, frankly, infuriating that I didn't feel like making a decision. Didn't want to get another lecture. I'm about 90% sure you can make a latte as big as you want given enough coffee and milk. I'm 100% certain that that educational tidbit offered with a snooty attitude was irrelevant to me paying for, getting and enjoying my coffee. I guess he thought he was being hipster clever, I (the paying customer) found it arrogant and unnecessary. Not sure I'll be going back.

Yelp
Superior coffee, roasted at their own roastery in Prenzlauer Berg. The cakes are out if this world, an authentic Anglo- American baking experience.

Yelp
I came here with high hopes as many reviews praised the scones here. I am, despite the café's cuteness, disappointed. The scone (3.9€) did not live up to the praise and it did not come with jam and clotted cream I had to pay another 3€ for that. Tea served in a glass seems to be a thing here in Berlin but I have to say I am not a fan. Overall quite a let down. I was hoping that this place will give me what's closest to Cream Tea I had in the UK. Scones here were alright but not something I would recommend.

Yelp
Katies Blue Cat is a lovely little coffee shop which I often frequent for Kaffee und Kuchen. Their kitchen is alway producing cakes, scones, cookies and a variety of breads to go with the expertly made coffee. The staff are very pleasant.

Yelp
Delicious cakes and cookies :) I don't drink coffee, but apparently that's spot on too.

Yelp
Waited around for 30-40 minutes before I realized they forgot my drink, as every order took around five minutes, compared to less than one minute at most other cafes. I walked up to ask and the barista ignored me for several customers, until I asserted myself while she made change. It seemed like she had no recollection of my drink at all. I just asked for my money back and left. The place is mostly for tourists/ex-pats. Menus and signage are all in English only. I'd go somewhere else, unless you want that environment. The chili shortbread was a bit weird, but tasted pretty good.

Yelp
Very good coffee, and all sorts of delicious sweets. Wouldn't go there if I wanted a savoury breakfast.

Yelp
Stopped by to warm up for a cup of tea and a sweet treat. Had the peanut butter pie which was so creamy and rich, and as I'm from the US, I do love peanut butter! The space is my only complaint - in the back next to the kitchen it feels a little less private and isn't so quiet, at least when I was there (late afternoon). Otherwise, go for the peanut butter pie.

Yelp
Sometimes you don't appreciate things enough as they are always around and you just take it for granted. Katie's Blue Cat totally matches those feelings as I am not in Berlin anymore. I miss this little cozy and charming café on Friedelstraße... Me and my best friend been to Blue Cat at some stage on daily basis as its just down the road of her place and it was our second home from home ;) For me its my fave coeliac friendly spot in Berlin amazing peanut butter cookies (as I am writing this I am dying to have one of these..oh Blue Cat why so far way) or the yummy super rich and chocolaty brownies which they have every weekend. They do incredible good coffee but my fave combination is the honey-free Chai latte and my beloved cookie..at some stage I did not even order anymore as they knew what we would get anyways...happy days indeed... So if you in this neck of the woods get down to Katies Blue Cat and try their cakes, cookies and coffee and let them spoil you with their treats as you been there once you will be back for sure! I am counting down the days till my next Berlin /Katies Blue Cat visit!

Yelp
I'm surprised this sweet little coffee and cake haven hasn't been reviewed yet. I've been living in this area for about a month now, and yes, it is the cold, quiet season, however this cafe seems to be pulling in the customers without any problems. Very quaint and intimate; perfect for Sunday Kaffee und Kuchen or early morning espresso. To quote from their website: "...we like good stuff and we like to bake it and make it ourselves. Our baking-style is Anglo-American, from down-south Pecan-Pie to Scottish shortbread, from Kiwi-Aussie Anzacs to very-northern Nanaimo Bars." I like to think of Katies Blue Cat as a combination of Australian/Italian style espresso with American baking (remember baking soda anyone?) and the indulgence of the German "Kaffee & Kuchen" tradition.

Yelp
It's a real bummer this place lacks Wifi, because it would be an otherwise perfect place to work. KBC is a bit pricier than similar cafe's in the area, but it offers a greater diversity of (super lecker) freshly-baked goods with a British twist: scones with clotted cream; crumpets and jam; fresh baked bread with English cheddar. The cafe itself is sunny and spacious, and service is indeed nice. An ideal place to while away the afternoon.

Yelp
the best damn pecan pie ive ever had... and unusually friendly wait staff. win!

Yelp
Nice little cafe with coffee basics and cake as well as other sweet, baked goods. I've been here a couple times and the coffee is always good. The cakes and cookies are also quite good but I do have to say not exceptional. Maybe no one in the area has a better selection but I've had better. Not complaining at all but just don't want to give too much credit where it isn't necessarily due. Service is always nice though so this brings bonus points.

Yelp
The cappuccino was good - so was the cheddar cooked fruity pastry I tried. The chocolate cookies looked fantastic but it was morning so I controlled myself and passed on those - will try one next time.. I noticed they charge a bit more than I am used to (around Neukolln), but many of their pastries looked interesting (beet root in the chocolate cake) and I honestly haven't tried enough. The place is small but outside seating during good weather makes it better as it is near the channel and you can stroll on after a coffee near the water..

Yelp
I feel like I'm finally finding decent places and for that I'm so grateful. Katie's Blue Cat is a welcome addition to my growing list of breakfast spots. And they're actually open at a decent hour and not at say, 10am when most people have to be at work. My latte was so good that I didn't want it to be over, and my whole grain bagel rivaled those of the authentic NYC I so desperately long for. It came with fluffy cream cheese, red onion, arugula, and smoked salmon. I love you Katie. And your blue cat.

Yelp
This is a great neighborhood in general for stellar coffee and baked goods, but Katie's takes both of these things to a whole new level. There is a clear sense that the owners take great pride in their establishment, from the cozy, relaxed atmosphere with thoughtful touches throughout, to the large, diverse selection of pastries and cakes that are sophisticated in flavor and presentation but have the kind of home-baked goodness that only comes from loving attention in the kitchen. And don't get me started on the coffee, each drink you order is not only made with high quality ingredients, but crafted in a thorough and attentive manner so that you never end up with a clumsy shot. In general, the place is more welcoming than others in the area, especially if you're one of those who like to sit and savor, maybe with a book or newpaper, or even -gasp- a laptop. I can easily say that this place is worth trekking out to, because you get an experience here that is difficult to replicate.

Yelp
Love the place. Tons of delicious cakes and pies to go with some decent coffee. Great place when the weather is nice but rather tiny inside.

Yelp
Mhhh, how much DO I LOVE their coffee, scones and cakes. A small place with amazing home made pastries; staff sometimes a bit confused, but once you bite into your fluffy scone, you forgive about everything.rather something for a simple morning sweet treat / after lunch treat.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal. I had the yogurt and granola with fresh fruit, which I don't normally order, and it was the best I've ever had. Granola was perfectly crunchy and the fresh fruit was of the best variety. The coffee cake was also incredible. I love the look of the place and the atmosphere is great. Very friendly service as well.

Yelp
Cute and cosy little spot, definitely feels like a neighbourhood joint. The pastries are really great: cakes, cookies, scones, etc. Nice outside seating as well.

Yelp
I run a small design agency nearby and we're all delighted to have Katie's in the area. Great coffee and the Cornish pastries are just sexy.Ive been there almost every weekday morning for the last two months and can highly recommend!

Qype User (Glasgo…)

Yelp
Only been once but the toast and cheddar cheese with chutney was really excellent and for once in Berlin the coffee had been made with love. Even had some latte art. Will definitely go back when I'm down in that Kiez and can recommend if you've been disappointed by the pretty bad in-house milk coffees at 5 Elephants on Reichenbergerstr.
