"Katie’s Kitchen, just outside Lancaster, has delicious potato soup ($3) — an Amish thing — and a big menu. It’s a 1970s-era restaurant that’s now Amish-operated and serves classic Pennsylvania Dutch food like ham loaf served with pineapple glaze ($10), and a pork-and-sauerkraut dinner platter with applesauce ($10). The staff is very friendly."

Great family restaurant! We went here for the first time and really enjoyed the food. The service was good, and food came fairly quickly. The cheeseburger soup was outstanding. And I got the hot ham sandwich, and it was so tender and delicious. Highly recommended for good homemade Amish food and reasonable prices!

This place is worth your visit. Staff exceed kindness and attentiveness in every way. And food was simple, classic, and portions that make sure you don’t leave hungry. The dinner rolls were so soft my kids are still talking about them! We are just passing through but if in the area again this will be a returning stop!

Multiple locals recommended us Katie's Kitchen and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and the food delicious. I had butter noodles with roast, coleslaw, rolls and peanut butter spread. As a dessert I had carrot cake. Our server Mandy was attentive, kind and open to any requests we had. What we enjoyed the most was that there were no TVs or loud music, you could actually have a pleasant conversation without yelling. The food is well seasoned and the dessert had just the right sweetness. After dining the staff was quick to clear off the tables and clean and sweep. If you're ever in this area make sure to check this Amish owned restaurant!

You probably haven’t had a breakfast like this since you were a kid at Grandmas house. HUGE portions and amazing. These fried potatoes! Oh my! Taste like they were soaked in cream and butter for a week before frying. That bacon I swear was squealing an hour ago. Then the friendly Amish / Mennonite staff just topped it off. My wife now wants to move here just to have this breakfast in the mornings but within a month she’d be the size of that cow across the road, so we’ll stay in West Virginia. I don’t know if these are the people that will prepare the marriage supper of the lamb, but I’ve put in a request for breakfast the next morning.

Katie's Kitchen is a popular restaurant that serves Amish style food. I enjoyed turkey served over stuffing with carrots, salad with tasty mango dressing, and a roll. My husband opted for a thick slice of meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and a roll. He said it was delicious.

Lunch like if I were eating grandma’s food. Food very savory, the lettuce so crunchy!! Noodles very buttery!!! The best was the peanut butter over warm dinner rolls!!! Oh My!!! Service is so kind, attention to details!! They (waitresses) answer all our allergies concerns and how meals were prepared. All were Amish ladies!! So polite!! 100% recommended!!! Plates are 1/2 portion, Yes, they are big!!

Spending a couple days in Amish country, our Airbnb host recommended we try Katie's out. We got there around 9am and the restaurant was busy, some people were waiting to sit at tables. Was able to score a couple counter space tops that people had just left. *I recommend if you have a party less than 4 you keep your eyes peeled for the spots. Breakfast was delicious we all got something different. I got my go to eggs, toast, home fries, the other got pancakes and French toast. The sausage was really delicious as well. I'm glad we made the stop.

Our dinner at Katie's Kitchen was great. There was a 15 minute wait when we got there. Our server was sweet and we got to try their homemade peanut butter (delicious) and bread (they were out of dinner rolls). Both our dishes had large portions for the price. The fish sandwich was especially well fried and delicious. We left happy and satisfied!
