We got a very warm welcome at this hotel and I was impressed. Spacious room and lovely bathroom. Easy walk into the village center. Peaceful location. Breakfast was exceptional. Lots of local quality products and homemade pies and cakes. Best bacon I’ve ever had in Greece!!!

Visiting Katogi Averoff Winery was an unforgettable experience. Nestled in the heart of Metsovo, this winery beautifully combines tradition with modern winemaking. The guided tour was insightful, taking us through their rich history and the fascinating winemaking process. The atmosphere inside the cellar, with barrels lining the stone walls, felt both authentic and inviting. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and welcoming, eager to share the heritage behind each label. If you’re visiting Epirus, Katogi Averoff is a must for wine lovers and culture enthusiasts alike. It’s not just a winery, it’s a soulful journey through Greek viniculture.

Visited on a public holiday, so we had a reservation. We booked the tour and the wine tasting. The tour started in time. It was very comprehensive, we learned a lot about the history of the winery and the village. The cellars are very clean and tidy. They have some very beautiful details. We ended up at the wine bar, an underground room with a very elegant design. The wines were great, we also had a cheese plateau with local cheese cuts. The staff was very helpful and informative. We ended up at the winery shop, very well areanged, where of course we bought some wines and spirits. Will definitely visit again

Monumental wines from a historic region and winery! A must visit! We went there at 14:45 and although they have just finished the wine tasting session, Lena, she works 26 years for Averoff Winery, made a sort of private tasting for us so as not to disappoint us for being late. All the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Before we leave we bought amazing wines. We loved Vlachiko and Pinot Noir!

We were pleased with our stay, employees are friendly and they offer free tour of the winery. I would definitely suggest to book with breakfast because this was one of the best open buffet we have seen in Greece. Nice variety of cheeses, fresh fruits and everything else. Rooms are cozy and romantic for couples as well as suitable for families.
