This hotel is based in the very building where Sultan Mehmet II, the conqueror of Constantinople, was born. Today, it is right next to the Selimye mosque - with a historic hamam next door. What a remarkable place to stay. I even stayed in the Fatih Sultan Mehmet room, with a small hanging attic over the street - very romantic.||||Location is very central, ideal for seeing the monuments of beautiful Edirne. I parket my car in the parking lot opposite the mosque and did everything walking.||||The building is really old, rooms are decorated tastefully, and the furniture style is antique; everything was impeccable and functional. I used the airco because it was very hot in August. Wifi also worked well.||||The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was ok but not special.||||A recommendation for any one who likes his hotels full of character and big history.

Spent two excellent nights at the Tas Odalar while on a heritage building tour. The location was absolutely unbeatable - it's a part of the spectacular Selimiye complex, so I was able to visit the mosque on several occasions. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of several other sites on or near the main square, again on several occasions. My room was spotless, comfortable and imaginatively furnished, and the bathroom excellent. While the restaurant was closed during my stay, the hotel still served a very good Turkish breakfast, and tea and drinks were available in the delightful garden. Erdine is a heritage masterpiece within easy bus distance of Istanbul. The Tas Odalar provided a memorable hotel experience extra

A small, handsome, clean and quite hotel located in the heart of the city just behind the impressive Selimiye Mosque. The rooms are spacious decorated in old traditional style, with very comfortable beds. This was the house where Sultan Mehmet the Conquerer was born in the 15th century. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is basic but filling. Within 5 minutes walk you get to the main pedestrian street of the city, which is in close proximity to three interesting mosques and three covered markets, where you get plenty of cheap choices, jewellers, leather, pottery. A good value for money, particularly now with the devaluation of the Turkish lira. I am certain you will enjoy your stay there

It was a lovely hotel renewed and decorated based on the historical Ottoman style. It is just next door to Selimiye Mosque, only fifty steps away. Staff is friendly, pricing is good and rooms are spacey. Breakfast is nothing special but is good. It is very clean as well. Historical Turkish Hamam next door is the bonus :)

I stumbled onto this gem of a hotel while looking for something inexpensive and close to the center, both of which this is. Staff gave us a royal welcome, whisking away our bags and installing us in our enormous room in this Ottoman-era mansion, overlooking the Selimiye Mosque, widely considered to be the masterwork of the legendary architect Mimar Sinan in 1569. The historic boutique hotel was part of a palace complex, and its beautiful rooms, lobby and garden befit the heritage. The rooms are fitted out luxuriously in an updated Ottoman style, with modern bathrooms (ours had a spa-style shower; other rooms have whirlpool tubs). Breakfast (included in the modest price) was a grand buffet, with extensive choices, and we enjoyed it in the sunny garden room. All staff, from the manager down to the chambermaid, were warm, courteous and attentive (the chambermaid with whom I shared no common language, just winked at me, took me by the arm, and gave me a full tour of all the rooms, every one of which was different and beautiful). This hotel gives insanely good value for the price. I have never in my life enjoyed a hotel stay so much.|

Atmospheric and well-located hotel, very handy to visit the main mosques in Edirne.||Rooms are furnished with nice old furniture, and hotel building is full of history.||Breakfast is standard for Turkey. There is a nice garden that should be very pleasant during warmer months (we stayed in winter). Price is a bit on the steep side but still totally acceptable for what you get.

Very nice boutique hotel in the heart of EDİRNE.||||In the Selimiye Mosque complex.||||Warm wellcome, helpfull staff, comfy beds, adequate-quality breakfast, a little bit old but clean bathroom, Air-condition is a little noisy. But no problem, very convenient nice hotel.||||17th Age Ottoman House.||||I recommend all the couples and families.
