What a gem! We love sushi but this is next level of beauty, freshness, size and service! Definitely a must if you craze some fish! The prices are very reasonable. The sushi chef Steven is super super awesome and very friendly :) there's a few different lunch specials and dinner bento options which are also very very good. All in all 5 stars without a doubt 🙌🏼 And also we were seated inside and had an excellent service!

Small restaurant with big sushi rolls. Talk about good value - this place will definitely satisfy your sushi cravings. Quality of the fish is good - above par compared to other sushi places. (It doesn’t surpass the high-end Japanese restaurants where eat roll is over $20). But if you like Sushi Diner, you would also enjoy this place. Steve the owner/chef is quite a funny character. If he is not too busy, he’ll talk to the customers.

Very good food, sushi was very fresh, service could be better but nothing upsetting. The table next to us had a rough time with service but another guests were having time of their lives. Look past the service and you'll enjoy some good sushi.

Affordable sushi that's aesthetically served. Pros: good customer service, large veggie + specialty sushi selection. Cons: limited seating and parking Fours stars because we've only gone once.

Awesome sushi I enjoyed everything ordered. They had a fantastic yellow tail collar and the specialty rolled name after the shop is one of my favorite rolls now.

It's rare to find a place where the food and friendliness of the chef are both exceptional. Katzra is such a rare place. Sushi chef Steve is hilarious, friendly, generous and just a pleasure to visit. As soon as you walk in, Steve makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend the final fantasy roll and the rain roll, but pretty much everything Steve makes is delicious.

One the best sushi spots I've had the pleasure of trying in San Diego! Nigiri and sashimi were so buttery and soft. Dragon roll was amazing, sweet and savory with sauce. Uni was delicate with a briny essence. Even for only being able to do take out, was definitely worth it!

Sushi was really fresh, delicious, and decoration was beautiful. The staff was friendly and the service was good, I think It's the best sushi restaurant in SanDiego 🤗
