Wow. The food was amazing and the staff were the friendliest bunch ever. The portions are huge so go hungry or share a plate. When dining in, you’ll be served a little treat of fresh cole slaw and a plate of different pickles. Soooo good! Whole we didn’t save room for dessert, the baked goods looked delicious. Side note: this place is hopping and wait times may be longer but it is well worth the wait.

Addyson was a very nice and made an excellent suggestion for me to order the first cut on the corned beef sandwich and it was excellent idea. I am glad I accepted her recommendation . Dawn ,the manager was also very helpful and very friendly. I must have arrived just before the dinner rush because the place quickly filled up while I was placing/waiting for my order. The staff and customers were both a pleasure to speak with while I was there picking up my sandwich. I’ve been to this place several times in the past and it is very consistent. The pickle was crunchy. The sandwich was very, very tasty , the rye bread was buttered and toasted on a flat skillet, which was even crunchy when I got the sandwich home . The the staff was friendly and I could tell they enjoyed being there as much as I did, which adds to the wonderful atmosphere of this place. I will be returning to this establishment again and when I’m in Manhattan, I know where to go to grab the same excellent sandwich.

Non-red meat friendly! Sweet potato fries nice and crispy! Andrew was a great waiter and super friendly, even offered us a free dessert for an honest mistake! Cute and affordable souvenirs. Will be returning very soon! Highly recommend!

Google
It is very packed. We had our order to go. The waiting for the table seemed to be more of a wait. We didn't wait long. The food was good. My sandwich I feel like the bread should have been toasted because it got a little mushy. But lots of meat and flavor. They have a huge menu to choose from. It is clean and good customer service. They have really good pickles.

For starters I don't eat meat.. I'll be reviewing on behalf of my husband sandwich. He ordered a First Cut Corned Beef on Rye bread. The meat doesn't look like the first cut, the meat isn't warm, and the bread wasn't even toasted. He's from New York and has been wanting to eat at this Katz for a while, it was definitely disappointing. However the staff was VERY pleasant and helpful, I asked about the veggie burger and they went out their to get my the Ingredients ( even went as far as printing the out) she definitely didn't gave too. The lady that took our order was very pleasant and patient since it was my first time there. I ordered a grilled cheese with tomatoes and it was toasted but the cheese wasn't melted all the way.

Google
Food: We ordered two different items and shared them. First was the Classic Fench Dip - grilled roast beef on a sub roll with au jus . We added provolone cheese. The meat did not have much flavor, and I did not enjoy the choice of roll. I thought the au jus could save it but sadly did not. I personally wouldn't order again. Second, we ordered the #8 Chesire - roast turkey & pastrami with cole slaw and Russian dressing. I believe we got it on Rye, but I'm not sure. This was delicious! I loved the cole slaw, which is usually a hit or miss. I would definitely order this again. Another item that stood out was the pickles! So delicious, cold, and crisp! The onion rings and fries were tasty as well . The atmosphere is awesome and the service was really good. Great vibes here, for sure. I will definitely be returning!

Google
First time - Last time. 3/7 Pros: plenty of parking. Restaurant was very clean as well as restrooms. The staff I encountered were all friendly. Cons: Food was not what we expected. We ordered corned beef sandwiches based on the photos from others, we expected sliced corned beef and we received shaved bits. We also received buttered bread which was not stated on the menu.

Google
This was my first time at Kat'z Deli. I have seen it from the highway and knew i would want to try it. The menu is intense. There are so many options. It was a little busy, but the hostess was nice, and we( my dad and I) got a table right away. I got a pastrami and roast beef sandwich and fries, and my dad got the corned beef dinner and side salad. Everything was delicious. Our server was friendly and came back to check on us a couple of times, which i appreciate! I definitely want to go back and try more things. Thank you!

Marie R.

Yelp
Katz's Deli and Restaurant has a consistent wide variety of items on the menu. Everything is fresh and delicious. Today we tried a few new items, including a Kasha knish and the beef barley and mushroom soup. Service was friendly, efficient and professional. The restaurant is clean and well organized Plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
On a road trip, I decided to stop at Katz's in Connecticut, driven by fond memories of the iconic Katz's Deli in New York City. The experience did not disappoint! While waiting for my meal, I was treated to some classic pickles and coleslaw, a nice touch to kick things off. I ordered the Pastrami Special and a bowl of matzo ball soup, which came out incredibly fast despite the place being packed. The matzo ball soup included some noodles, which I really appreciated and added a comforting touch to the soup. The pastrami sandwich was awesome; the meat was fresh, tender, and tasty. Even with the crowd, the service was excellent and efficient. Katz's in CT delivered a fantastic meal and lived up to the reputation of its NYC counterpart. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
I have retuned to this deli restaurant many times as the location is an easy spot to meet and there is plenty of parking here. During the warmer months you can eat under the overhang at outside picnic tables with checkered table cloths. There are no reservations so it is first come first serve. If going with a larger group it is best to get there early to get seated together. The menu is extensive and spans from breakfast and lunch to holiday meals. Service is friendly and efficient. I tend to select the pastrami Ruben or the pastrami Rachel. Ruben has sauerkraut and the Rachel has cold slaw. Fries on the side are warranted with this sandwich. They are packed with lots of thin sliced meat so I usually get two meals from one sandwich. There is a dessert case where you can take items to go. Everything looks so good. This is a family style restaurant and has been here for many years. Check them out.

Jim L.

Yelp
Can tell you the last time I had good Jewish style deli food. Katz (not affiliated with the famous one in NYC) did not disappoint. The pastrami piled so high and better than any supermarket pastrami. Piled on good rye bread with sauerkraut. Oh so good. My wife had a smoked salmon on a toasted bagel. Just the right amount of smoke. No dine in deli experience is complete without the half sour pickles and coleslaw. Just as I remember. We were seated right away and the staff was very friendly and fast. Now that we know where this is, we'll be back for more classics.

Stacey S.

Yelp
Good solid food. Great for lunch. Relaxed atmosphere. Easy takeout. A great old fashioned New York deli

Yelp
Katz's Deli was next door to a Yelp event my daughter and I went to so we decided stop by. This was are first time eating at Katz's restaurant and my daughter was interested in trying the Corn Beef Sandwich. Upon entering the establishment, we were greeted and seated immediately. I ordered a Corn Beef Sandwich with Swiss Cheese. Complementary Cole Slaw and Pickles were served and the Cole Slaw and Pickles were delicious. The Corn Beef Sandwich in my opinion was a 3.5 out of five. The Corn Beef needed some more flavor but the meat was tender and cooked just right. I couldn't really get the flavor of the meat so for me it tasted more like a Grilled Cheese. The Rye Bread was perfectly toasted and it was good sandwich other than not getting the flavor from the meat. The customer service was great as are waitresses came to are table multiple times to come check on us. The customer service was great even at check out. Four stars for customer service. I will definitely be back again to try different items on the menu.

Riley H.

Yelp
I don't like to leave bad reviews so this is a bit hard for me to do. For a deli that is supposed to be so good and has received so much popularity on social media I was disappointed. The sandwich was tough to eat and the meat was tough to chew through. I will say the service was good, and the ambiance was nothing crazy. All that being said I would still try the New York location as I hear this may be the original and seems to be a little more popular.

Tricia B.

Yelp
I love it, Katz is too cute! There is very much a vintage dinne vibe while also being clean and starkly modern. The food was delicious - we got complimentary pickles, which I have been assured were fantastic. My egg sandwich was well cooked and seasoned, with the bacon well cooked. The potato pancakes were well cooked without much grease, and so great with sour cream! They also have this fantastic deli, so not only was there dessert, but the day old bagels still tasted fresh even later in the week. Our waitress was very kind and ready to offer her opinion, all suggestions she had were spot on.

Samantha V.

Yelp
When I found out CT had Katz I was so happy!!! My Mom used to make matzo ball soup for the holidays. Mom passed five years ago and its rare to find places that make matzo ball soup let alone similar to her's. Katz's matzo ball soup did not disappoint! When we sat down a good size dish of coleslaw was brought to our table along with pickles. The coleslaw was excellent. The pickles were not the type I like. Big matzo ball with nicely chopped carrots, onions, and celery. The soup also included thin noodles just like my Mom's. I took a soup to go it was so good and next time I'll take two to go. As You can see by the pics both of our sandwiches the corned beef and brisket were stacked with meat. This was a good filling lunch!

Rich B.

Yelp
Been awhile since I've been to Katz's (pre-Yelp days), but Marie R raved about the corned beast as being probably the best she's ever had, so had to stop in on the way back from Yonkers this past Saturday. Marie R is right. First of all, no sooner had I sat at the counter, than cole slaw and pickles appeared. My order was taken promptly (CB on rye... the larger of the two choices), and came lickety split. The CB was about the leanest I've ever gotten from a restaurant, and well brined. The rye was also excellent (they get it from a New Haven baker). Also, the mustard. Yes, the mustard, Beaver (with hints of horseradish) was just perfect. They sell 12.5 oz jars of it for $6 on-site, which I thought was a bit pricey, but on-line wasn't much cheaper. You know that old expression, "Save a tree, eat a beaver." Maybe my friend, Pots & Pans, can order me some. Anyway, worth a stop. 5-stars

Brian W.

Yelp
I wish there were a 2.5 star Quick service at the bar. Matzo ball soup was super bland. The comp Cole slaw and pickles pretty good. The pastrami Reuben is a bit steeply priced with no side included. The flavor was decent but my meat was pretty fatty Meat was stacked somewhat high but it was hard to eat as the meat slicers were much smaller than the bread size If the meat was appropriate sized might have got a 3 star

Christopher L.

Yelp
Great food. Try something from the bakery! We had cheesecake and it was really good. The pickles and slaw are great too. Haven't had a bad sandwich there yet.

Loretta M.

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches. Love my pastrami on seeded rye. Can't wait to get it home Called it in and it was ready as promised

Austin H.

Yelp
Great sandwich and sides. Had the turkey Reuben and it was huge but great quality. Service was good too

Marc C.

Yelp
As a Baltimore transplant to CT I've been searching for a good Jewish style deli. My search is over: Katz's is amazing. Great Matzo Ball soup and corned beef sandwiches. I brought home a slice of their cheese cake and rugulah. They were to die for. This could be a weekly visit if I weren't 40-minutes away. A classic Jewish deli with great food and service.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Always stop here in the way to NY from MA. Can't go wrong. Today ha: Matza ball soup (good) Corned beef special (awesome)

David F.

Yelp
Not the famous Katz's, but a darn good deli in it's own right. A real NY deli without a trip to the city. Ordered the hot pastrami with grilled onions and cheese on rye and my wife had the corned beef. Both were piled high served quickly and mighty tasty. Next time, we'll save room for dessert!

Emma D.

Yelp
If you're looking for the perfect deli sandwich, stop here! First of all, the portions are huge. A half of a sandwich will fill you right up. The rye bread was perfectly toasted and flavorful. The onion rings, sweet potato fries and regular fries were all crispy and salty. They bring Cole slaw and pickles to each table to start your experience. The pickles are different so be careful (half sour and full sour) but the full sour dill ones are delicious. You can order deli meat, soups and bakery items to go as well! It was extremely busy when I went for a late lunch on a Saturday. We were able to get seated right away but the service and food took a long time. Well worth the wait but I recommend not coming if you're in a rush. The restaurant has a diner like feel with a counter and two large seating areas with booths and tables.

Jen H.

Yelp
Not to be confused with THE Katz's Deli, the oldest deli in Manhattan, but certainly not standing in its shadow, THIS Katz's, located right off Route 15 in Woodbridge, holds its own. I've been coming here for the past 20 years since I work in the area and it has never disappointed. Their Pastrami Reuben is phenomenal and enough to feed two people! Today I ordered the sandwich special: grilled turkey pastrami with muenster cheese, sliced tomato, grilled onions, and Russian dressing on rye. I wasn't sure if turkey pastrami was going to hold up to their real pastrami, but it was delish! While I wish that those of us ordering lunch to go would get more than one pickle plus a side of cole slaw just as the in-house dining patrons do--I mean, we are paying the same amount after all--that doesn't stop me from continuing to be a loyal customer. The next time you're driving along Route 15 and have a hankering for something from a great Jewish-style deli, this Katz's Deli is the place for you!

Brian B.

Yelp
So I'm confused Now first lemme say I'm a longtime fan and i love the flavor of the meats... the Cole slaw is deliciousness and the pickles are king! But the last 3 times I've been and always on Sunday the meat has been chewy, stringy and not pleasant to chew../ So today it happened again and I decided to take a closer look at the corned beef.. Then I saw it. They are cutting the meat with the grain instead of against it!! But why? I thought It was pretty much common knowledge to cut meat across its grain to make it feel more tender. I even googled it to make sure it wasn't different for brisket like it is for picanha .. but every brisket video talks about cutting it against the grain.. Can somebody help me understand what's going on ??

Louise V.

Yelp
Katz's is great! Staff is friendly. Menu is plentiful. Complimentary pickles and coleslaw were a nice treat! The restaurant decor is fun and lively. Will definitely go again and recommend to friends.

Christopher A.

Yelp
Not sure where I heard about this place. Perhaps on some TV show or just in passing etc but I had always heard stories about the great Katz's deli. Driving up the Merritt Park way and extremely hungry with little to no options that I could see until I saw the billboard. I almost ran another car off the road to get to the exit. The menu is very large with so many delicious sounding options. I was scooping out what everyone else had. Ever since my gastric sleeve I can't eat the amount I used to and I'm supposed to be going low carb but today was not a day to exercise good judgment. I opted for the small pastrami on marbled rye. This thing has so much flavor. The bread was perfectly toasted with its own awesome flavor. The provolone cheese was perfectly melted and the pastrami was tender and flavorful. The service could have been a bit quicker but this waitress was working damn near the whole place her self and she was extremely friendly and helpful. The place has an old time diner feel to it. I would eat here again and I'm thankful that it's not closer to me as the number on the scale would explode.

Yelp
Katz's Deli is seriously the real deal! Here's the scoop on this Woodbridge gem: The restaurant is located in a plaza with other businesses, and there's plenty of parking available in the shared lot. The interior is fairly spacious with lots of seating (although is does get very busy at lunch time). When you walk in the front door, there is a counter straight ahead to order/pick-up food to-go, and two separate dining areas to the right and left. There is also seating available at the counter. This most recent time, I sat at the counter and, despite it being busy, a waitress came over to take my order within just a few minutes. Katz's stocks Dr. Brown's sodas, which have been sold in Jewish delis in NYC since 1869. I chose the cream soda- so good! Now let's talk about the food... You are served a small bowl of coleslaw and two pickles shortly after you sit down. To start I ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup which was hot and delicious. For my meal, I got the Corned Beef Reuben, but put my own twist on it. I don't like Swiss cheese or sauerkraut, so I skipped the kraut and got American cheese instead. It was excellent! Although Katz's Deli is not associated with the Katz's Delicatessen in NYC, it definitely has a NYC vibe and the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend!

Mathew S.

Yelp
Generally, good but nothing truly remarkable. It's a Reuben. It's borscht. Neither knocked my socks off. But maybe that's the point. It's a serviceable go-to option. The service is efficient, the staff hospitable. It's a high-volume deli that has the to-go business down to a quick clip. Good. Not great. All of this said, the reuben is my raison de cuisine. Should it be something other than a sandwich, yes, it probably should be. I try them. Everywhere, no matter the variation. Someone could come up with a Mexican informed lengua Reuben and I'd try it. I say that to say this: me calling this kind of sandwich good is likely a solid 7/10 on most scales.

Jim S.

Yelp
I've been coming here for over 30 years and the only thing that's changed is the price. The food is always consistently delicious. The service today is as good as when the old deli guys used to carve the meats. I think I paid $8.50 for a pastrami in the 70's now it's $24. Still as delicious as ever

Dan R.

Yelp
"Three cool cats, three cool cats Parked on the corner in a beat-up car Dividing up a nickel candy bar Talking all about how sharp they are, these Three cool cats" (The Coasters - the very first group inducted into the R'n'R Hall of Fame) Are you a fan of: Corned Beef? Pastrami? Brisket? Bagels and Lox? Matzoh Ball Soup? Chopped Liver? Potato Pancakes? Blintzes? Knishes? Hebrew National Salami, Bologna, and Hot Dogs? Macaroons, Rugelach and baked treats? Well if you are, you should probably bookmark Katz's Deli right away because all of those major food groups are represented right here in a big way. Five of us had a fantastic lunch visit yesterday and we loved everything. The decor, ambience, service, enormous menu, prices, portion size, and quality of the food. We started off with complimentary bowls of pickles and cole slaw and then took on the task of navigating their enormous short story of a menu. We ended up ordering two pastrami sandwiches, a cheeseburger, a chopped liver sandwich and a bologna sandwich. Sandwiches are available in 4 ounce, 8 ounce, and "Sky High" (with two meats) options. I went for a small Matzoh Ball Soup, and because I'm donating blood on Monday (and wanted to boost my iron level) a chopped liver sandwich. The soup was fantastic! Delicious brotgh plus a big fluffy baseball-sized matzoh ball, and carrots. And by the way, the "small" soup came in a bowl. My sandwich was on seeded rye and I ordered it with lettuce, tomato, snd sliced onions. It was excellent and so big I took half home. Our lunch with five drinks ran $81.69 after tax and before tip. I would definitely return if in the area.

Robert V.

Yelp
No need to go to New York. A true Jewish deli in every way with great service, great food, and the perfect NYC ambiance. One of the best Pastrami Rubens I've had. Plenty of pastrami, just the right proportion of sauerkraut and Russian dressing and the grilled seeded rye was to die for. 4 star for a Deli 3 1/2 as a restaurant.

Martin G.

Yelp
Good food. I was interested in the pastrami sandwich and it was tasty. If you're in the area, it's good. FYI, not kosher.

Justin C.

Yelp
Stopped off the road on long ride to grab Starbucks and could not help but stop in to give them a try. Their bacon egg and cheese on a roll was made perfectly. Great staff inside that were helpful in order process.

Daym P.

Yelp
Now Katz's not to be confused with the oldest Deli in NY (Katz's) packs a powerful bite all the same to fit the name and show a great line of respect for NY but in its own way, right here in CT! This is one of those locations that is best. to arrive early for it gets packed and FAST! After being seated, the waitress brought out pickles and coleslaw as a "jumpstart your palete for what its about to experience" type of vibe and she was very vibrant with an amazing personality. I went ahead an ordered the Pastrami Reuben and a Hal's NY Lemon Seltzer water. It was not a long wait for my Pastrami and let me tell you right now Fam, they did not skimp out on the Pastrami! Thin cuts that flooded my sandwich and stacked to the point of barely being able to properly hold my sandwich, even with my big hands. Now add in the melted Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian Dressing all between two pieces of grilled Rye Bread and you're working with. a mini masterpiece! (Now, if you are NOT about the Sauerkraut, you can always get the Rachel version that will replace the Sauerkraut with Cole Slaw instead.) I slowly lifted my sandwich up to the heavens and my eyes widened as I forced them closed all to sink my teeth into this BEAST of Happiness. My reality hit in an upbeat type of way when the savory notes of the pastrami hit...a nice saltiness and smokey flavor all combined within. The sauerkraut wanted me to put some respect on its name with its acidic and salty flare; amidst its sour punch to my throatolicles. Don't look for that word in google, you won't find it. It's in the "Book of Daym" only. How can you possibly go wrong with layers of succulent pastrami and that creamy Russian dressing doing the tango on your tastebuds? Even when I hit that pickle earlier, its own tangy and juicy pop took me to a place in foodie paradise that I did not even know existed until this day and I want more. Back to the rye bread which boasted the perfect texture combination. Crispy grilled rye provided a satisfying crunch with every bite, while that pastrami practically melted in my mouth. The sauerkraut really added a pleasant crunch and burst of tanginess, complementing the softness of the cheese and as I mentioned, the creaminess of the dressing. It was a textural masterpiece that left me craving more with every single bite!!! I have a feeling that you are READY for your own Pastrami Reuben now from Katz's? If not, I did not do my job on this review!! ;-) Oh and I went with their cheesecake, original. Creamy and very rich with a nice sweet bite on that graham cracker crust! I did not need dessert but after my meal, dessert was just a necessary evil.

alyson c.

Yelp
We stopped at this busy spot in the middle of a road trip and were very happy with our selections. My husband had the turkey chili and I had the chopped Caesar salad with chicken. The chili was perfect. My salad was great, but the Caesar dressing could've been "zestier" for lack of a better word. All in all, we were extremely pleased. The service was friendly, efficient and the deli atmosphere was great. Definitely try Katz's Deli!

Meghan W.

Yelp
Not sure why I remember this place being overpriced for the portions...maybe because we did takeout during COVID and didn't get the complimentary pickles and coleslaw to our fill. Stopped in about 5:45 on a Friday night before a concert nearby. Pleasantly surprised with great fast and attentive service. Price was very reasonable for family of 4, including kids meals with side and drink. Turkey Club sandwich (orange) was great with enough bacon to add generously to kids cheeseburger. The sandwiches are where I gravitate but heard a LOT of people ordering the soups so will try next time. Stop by when you are stuck in traffic by the tunnel you won't be disappointed!

Hannah S.

Yelp
Love coming to Kat's deli, especially for the matzo ball soup! It's popular so be prepared to wait for a table, especially if you're going during prime meal times. The portions are plenty, the service is good and the ambiance is easy going and relaxing. The menu has a ton of options. I love taking home their half sour pickles!

Steven G.

Yelp
I'm used to a kosher deli from Long Island or nyc I might have to get used to this. Was a nice place what we ordered was good. But not like what I'm used to ex. No pickles (I did take out) or challah bread.

Jaye G.

Yelp
Still very good no matter what you order. Excellent chicken soup too! Just wish it was open during breakfast time.

Jan J.

Yelp
RIP OFF! I stopped here to grab a sandwich. I ordered a hot 4oz pastrami with pepperjack cheese and mustard. It was horrible! the cheese edges were so hard you could crack them off from the middle of the cheese like it had been sitting out until it became rock hard. Mind you the sandwich cost me $15. Katz deli sells pastrami by the pound for $20.99/lb. My sandwich was 4 oz. and cost me $15. I guess I paid $9.75 for two slices of rye bread, mustard, and a slice of cheese I couldn't eat. Never again!

Alicia R.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try Katz, from hearing great things in NYC to CT and finally stopped in on a whim. I had a real strong hankering for pastrami and this seemed to be the right place! Stopped in for pickup and the staff was super helpful on a Sunday afternoon. Quirky and fun decor, there was seating right outside the door where I waited while there were dinners being diligently attended to. I ordered the pastrami special, and while it was pretty good, it was quite steep at $16. I shared it with my husband and it was just enough for a taste. Gets soggy on the way home but still pretty good. Katz loses stars for me for value, I get way heartier sandwiches for less at the local sandwich shops. As good as it was, likely won't be back. I'm sure they serve the community well for where they're located. The pickles are bomb, I'd happily come back for those! Great variety of desserts and extensive menu, I'm sure anyone in your party will find something.

David B.

Yelp
Great service excellent food !! Yummy for the tummy easy to get to ample parking great tasting food Delicious !!

Nandanie S.

Yelp
Recently moved to the area, and apparently this is where you go for great deli sammiches. Whoever recommended this was not wrong. Complimentary pickles await while you peruse the menu because the menu is extensive. But dammit. So many awesome options! I tried a pastrami Rachel and I was in love. Potato salad is super tasty and the cheesecake oh dear me. The rugelach are amazing too!! If you want a good deli sammich don't hesitate to come to Katz's!! Oh!! And if you get the coleslaw, ask for the Frank's hot sauce. Put a few dollops of that in the coleslaw and it's a party for your tastebuds. Enjoy!!

Emily G.

Yelp
Katz's Deli & Restaurant is a staple...and rightfully so. Their pastrami and corned beef are so good. I haven't personally found a comparison in the area. A few years back the restaurant expanded into a bigger space and it was amazing to be able to get into their with minimal wait. The staff is always kind and helpful. I've never had a negative service experience while there. It's set up like a diner style deli. The classic colors really make you feel like you're in for the Katz's experience. A must stop if you're in the area!

Dominick B.

Yelp
The best of the best of everything from soup to dessert. Bagels, pastries, finest meats and smoked fish.

Lisa K.

Yelp
The food was great, sandwiches, soup, and of course pickles to go. Quick and friendly service!

Dude M.

Yelp
Not related to the original Katz in the city but not bad for rural CT. I had a pastrami with some fries. Good stuff. Good pickle, too.

Trixie G.

Yelp
Went back here after a year and again the review remains the same EXCELLENT. Wish I could give them 10 stars. Steve the owner does a very good job with his deli. I cannot say enough about the staff as well (Liz and Morgan) always welcoming and treats the customers very well. Morgan can work that counter for those takeout orders like no one else. Liz can work that dining room like a pro. The customer service at Katz is always on point. Today customer service is a lost art at most businesses but not at Katz. I guess I should talk about the good. LOL Amazing food as always. See the attached pictures and judge with your eyes. Now get in your car and go check them out with your mouth. Enjoy!!!

Komal H.

Yelp
Are you craving a delicious pastrami on rye sandwich? Well, you don't have to go too far. We love Katz's deli & restaurant in Woodbridge, Connecticut. Let me tell you, it was definitely worth the visit! We ordered BBQ beef brisket sandwich and onion rings to share along with pastrami on rye. Excellent sandwiches with meat so soft and delicious. Great food, impeccable service and ample parking in the front of the restaurant. Whenever we travel to Boston, it's our go-to place for delicious sandwiches. They even have delicious bakery items for the road!!

Yelp
Best pastrami Ruben! They were very busy, but we got a table right away. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was hustle and bustle, but didn't feel rushed! The sandwich was so big and delicious!

Yelp
Great Jewish style Turkey Rachel or Rueben sandwiches. Good pickles and sides. Enjoyed the Cole slaw. Whether local or driving through a worthwhile stop.

Yelp
I drive from MA to CT all the time and always pass the Katz Deli sign. I thought it wouldn't be as good as the one in NYC but I was WRONG. This place is WAY BETTER!! I'm so happy I made the stop. The meat was so succulent and the onions gave it a burst of flavor. The bread soaked up all the amazing meat juices and I just wished that I ordered three more of these sandwiches tbh. A MUST STOP and please order the Pastrami Special!!

Yelp
We were on our way home and saw the sign off the Merritt Parkway. "We tried it and have gone back several times. The Matzo ball soup is wonderful, and the corned beef is as good as I have ever had! Not the NY Katz, but pretty damn close!!
