One of the Best Waffle Stores in Berlin This is one of my favorite waffle spots in Berlin. They offer both sweet and savory waffles, and I highly recommend trying the cheesecake version or the one topped with ice cream. The waffles are always delicious! It can get quite busy, so you might have to wait for a table or stand in line, but it’s definitely worth it. The interior design is lovely, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes the experience even better.

Best waffles 🧇 ever!! 💘 Lovely cafe with different waffle options and ice cream 🍨 The regular waffle 🧇 with extra ice cream and raspberry sauce was absolutely delicious! The sauce was handmade and totally amazing! ❤️ The Cow-Waffle is a mix from the chocolate dough and the regular dough, absolutely perfect! ❤️ The salty waffle was amazing aswell!!! Overall I was super happy with my experience and will definitely come back again! Staff was helpful and kind too! Love the overall concept of the store 💖

Best waffles in town! Kauf Dich Glücklich Waffeln are simply the best. These waffles are perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft and fluffy on the inside, offering a delightful contrast with every bite. Their rich, buttery flavor pairs beautifully with a variety of toppings, whether you prefer classic powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or decadent chocolate sauce. Highly recommended for waffle lovers!

Dear KDG manager/owner: Young man serving was a one man show (until 3pm when his colleague showed up), taking orders, processing payments, making waffles, hot drinks AND bringing food to tables. A bit ridiculous, don't you think..? This is to the detriment of customers who also have to pay with another currency other than the Euro, called:"Time". I've been a long time customer but I'm now really fed up. And not in a good way.

Amazing fresh waffles! It is not a lie. Even if there was people, the service was of quality, rapid and friendly. The terrace is very cute ^^

We are in town visiting and speak a bit of German, but luckily there is an English menu. You order from inside even though menus are outside, with a truncated menu. Inside has a full list of waffles and such. We had the caramel cream waffle, a fried egg, and a smoked salmon waffle. All were excellent. The setup is somewhat odd (ordering inside where the gelato is) but the food delivered on taste.

Great place to have a morning breakfast or brunch. We went at 10 AM, when the place opened, and we had the whole place to ourselves. It is in the middle of Prenzlauer Berg but is very quiet in the morning, something we love! We ordered beetroot waffles and salmon waffles along with cappuccino. Everything was delicious. Would visit this place again.

During our recent visit to a charming café in Berlin, which happened to be at its closing time, we were greeted with an exceptional level of hospitality that truly set this place apart. Despite being the last visitors, the personnel displayed an admirable level of respect and cleanliness. Their patience and understanding were particularly noticeable as they interacted with our small child, accommodating our various requests with a grace seldom encountered in the bustling café scene of Berlin. Each request was met with a prompt and courteous response, devoid of the reluctance or annoyance that can sometimes mar such interactions. When it comes to the culinary offerings, specifically the coffee and ice cream, it’s fair to say that Berlin boasts a plethora of establishments that excel in these areas. In this regard, the café might not stand out— the ice cream lacked the uniqueness one might hope for, and the coffee, while satisfactory, did not surpass expectations. However, what the café may lack in culinary distinction, it more than compensates for with its aesthetic appeal. The cutlery, plates, and overall design of the space were a feast for the eyes. The meticulous attention to detail and the evident taste of the owner in curating such an environment deserve commendation. This café prioritizes ambiance and visual appeal, perhaps more so than the gastronomic experience. The design of the café, though, warrants a nuanced critique. While the space is undeniably filled with beautiful objects—from furniture to wall art, including an array of posters, engaging magazines, and attractive ceramics for sale—it seems to lack a cohesive theme. The eclectic collection, though individually appealing, falls short of creating a harmonious atmosphere. It feels more like a showcase of beautiful items rather than a thoughtfully designed cohesive space. This approach to design, characterized by its abundance of visually appealing but disparate elements, might resonate with some but does not necessarily cater to a professional design aesthetic that seeks unity and coherence. Another distinctive aspect of the café is its selection of merchandise, which includes a variety of jewelry and fashion accessories like hair clips and sunglasses, contributing to an ambiance that some might describe as particularly feminine. This choice of decor and merchandise suggests a penchant for beauty and a desire to share that beauty with patrons, albeit without achieving a balanced, impactful visual narrative. Despite these critiques, my inclination to revisit the café remains strong, driven not by its culinary offerings or design philosophy but by the commendable cleanliness of the space and the politeness of the staff. These aspects of the café experience were truly remarkable and warrant recognition. In conclusion, while the café may not excel in every dimension—particularly those related to its culinary offerings and the cohesion of its design—it offers a pleasant environment marked by exceptional service and cleanliness. It’s these qualities that inspire my intention to return and support the establishment. I would rate my experience with a solid 4 out of 5 and extend my best wishes to the team for continued success in their endeavors.

Yelp
This is the best spot for waffles. They have a great selection of both sweet and savory so it's great for all meals. I had the NY cheesecake and it was so good. The service is great, and it's such a cute location in a great area.

Yelp
This dessert place came highly recommended from friends who used to live in Berlin. I have to agree with them...this has got to be one of the best waffles I've ever eaten! My vanilla waffle was made fresh and took about five minutes to come out after ordering. I liked how it was not overly sweet even with the vanilla topping/syrup. It was slightly dense and had some fluffiness to it. I also added a scoop of ice cream to my waffle. The rocher definitely tasted like the candy and even and pieces of it folded in. I could have done without the ice cream, but it made my dessert that much better. The area to order is somewhat narrow, so it could be a tight squeeze if people were also exiting where you order. In addition to waffles and ice cream, I noticed they offer coffee, beer (I saw 3 bottled beers to choose from), and hard alcohol. With a narrow ordering area, I thought the restaurant would be small. It wasn't. There's a decent sized room in additional to a smaller room inside. There's also outdoor seating. Service was good, with the workers being friendly. Btw...you can buy a bag of their waffle kit for just under €10.

Yelp
Stopped in here 2 days in a row! Loves their waffles! Their ice cream was delicious as well! Love the set-up inside, comfy & cozy. They have outdoor seating, also if you would rather enjoy the nice sunny weather. Great spot to just hang out with some friends and enjoy some sweet treats. The prices were very affordable: 1.00 per scoop of ice cream, 3.00 for ice cream & waffle! Loved it here!

Yelp
We were hesitant to go after seeing some bad reviews but I'm glad we weren't dissuaded. We got in about half an hour before close after our dinner took longer than expected. When we got in we ordered the chocolate banana waffle and were told they no longer had the hot sauces to which we said that was fine, but when it came out there was hot chocolate sauce, so it worked out I suppose. I liked the decor. String lights, mismatched everything and art, very hipster feel. Our waffle held up very well under the ice cream and sauces, not once did I find it soggy

Yelp
I visited the Café with my new japanese friend Minoru that I met through Yelp. Also two more people from me joined. Here are various ice creams served and delicious waffles aswell. Minoru and me decided to order a waffle with strawberry and vanilla ice cream. The other two ordered a fresh mint tea, and also a sundae with two types of ice cream. Our waffles had a pretty big size, were hot and already served with powdery sugar. The ice cream melted slowly on the waffles and not too fast. Delicious! As for the fresh mint tea, I've to say the exactly same thing. It tasted delicious to us. There's a wide range to order on the menue, which you find at the front and all prices are very fair. Ordering works like this: You order at the front desk, pay directly, and the waiter will bring you everything into the room. The interior itself was fantastic! Very chilly and cozy. It looked like an apartment, not like a café. The person, who decorated this place did very well. A special surprise was the ladie's bathroom. In there I discovered an old TV and a small chair! : ) Also I noticed that some parts of the decoration can be bought. If you look close, you will find prices on the items. Such a wonderful, wonderful place to go. We will definately visit here again and try more specialities.

Yelp
Wafles with icecream to die for; probably the best I've ever had. Coffee and mint tea also really solid. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service, too. Kid-friendly, and you can even bring your stroller inside. Situated right in the middle of the charming Kastanienallee area of Prenzlauerberg. Highly recommendable.

Yelp
This place hits all the right notes. The waffles are tasty, well-topped, and at a general price point of 3-4 EUR, they're cheap! The outdoor patio is full of mismatched furniture (which matches the mismatched cobblestones) and gives the whole joint an aire of Wonderland. With waffles.

Yelp
This place is pretty much a trademark and it's the ultimate munch after walking around Mauer park, or even if you just pass by and feel like something sweet. Affordable waffles and crêpes with endless options and combinations to choose from, Less options in the ice cream section, but there's always something for me :) When we were there is was pretty crowded so the waiting time was over 30 minutes, but the second time we came we've been served pretty quick and the workers also seemed less tense. The place is very cozy and designed just the way I like it- makes you feel like you're in a cool living room, but a really big one. When the weather is nice it's also fun to enjoy the outside seats. Around the cashier area there are some small stuff to buy for cheap prices, it's nothing useful mostly, but I guess it's what brings the joy to this place, found myself giggle from some of the merchandise. Everything is fresh and tasty! Yum yum

Yelp
We took quite the journey to get to this place. After feverishly Yelping for dessert places in town we came across this shining beacon of hope. This cafe is situated on a quaint street lined with lots of interesting indie shops and restaurant patios. While the street itself is quite nice, I can't exactly say the same of the cafe. It's nice but the furniture was quite tacky (you will know what I mean when/if you visit). The inside is simple with a narrow corridor for ordering and a long counter is quite the squeeze for prepping. The menu is up high in tiny font and very confusing with so many items and way too many categories. We opted for the recommended waffles and apple cinnamon ice cream. The ice cream was adequate I would say. The flavours of the apples, creaminess and the aroma of the cinnamon does remind me of an apple pie. However, there was nothing too out of the ordinary about it; it just tasted like any old ice cream. The waffles while were decent really failed miserably when paired with the ice cream. Not so much flavour wise but more textually. The waffles were way too thin and delicate that they became a mushy mess in the ice cream. The condensation on the underside from the plate made it even worse. I can understand the raving reviews as there aren't many waffle dessert options in the city but I can also conclusively say that this is far from a good waffle dessert as well.

Yelp
Classic breakfast platter was fantastic, well worth €8.5. Cold brew coffee was hilariously small, way overpriced. Savory waffles were also excellent but the sweet ones got soggy immediately and ruined them. Service was very average and they seemed confused by simple requests like "a knife for cutting the waffle". Brothers order was wrong and they didn't really seem to mind. Fun place to sit outside though. If you choose the right breakfast, I'd say it would be 5 stars.

Yelp
Oh my god, I loved this place ! 1st of all it's so cute. From outside the colored fairy lights and colored tables. Inside the old and cute furnitures, very cosy chairs and sofas. We took 2 salted waffles : one with salmon and cream and the other with dry tomatoes and feta. So ggod ! Very simple recipes but really soft and well cooked. We loved it. It was raining outside, we're tired and it was just the perfect place to relax and have a snack ! We also took a sweet waffle : the classic chocolate waffle. Once again : OMG, so perfect ! It was a good dark chocolate sauce. To drink we had white beers but there're milkshakes and homemade limonades. You really should stop there ;) ps: Funny old TV in the toilets !

Yelp
Love, love, love this place. The staff is friendly and offers great advice on their waffles and toppings. The waffles are to die for.

Yelp
A nice treat that one can enjoy with coffee from the cafe while shopping or sitting outside the shop for chats with friends . Also they have ice cream for the little ones as well. Their selection of clothing reflects the berlin style for the modern women and little ones

Yelp
The smell of this place makes me giddy. To say that I love waffles is a serious understatement. This place can be packed on Sundays during the post-pre-current Mauerpark invasion. They offer spiked hot chocolate, which is a perfect compliment to a toasty waffle on a winter evening, when you are just looking to get out. The atmosphere is inviting to conversation and there are definitely very neat and vintage decorations, all of which are for sale. Like that table you are using? You can test it out, then buy it! Nice concept, but I don't like the long lines on Sundays. I suggest trying this place out in the evening or summer during the days...Also a great place for dates.

Yelp
The English translation of this place is, "buy yourself happiness", and that's exactly how I felt the 1st time I'd discovered KDG back in 2004! It's an absolutely charming café in the midst of one of my favorite neighborhoods in Berlin filled with one of a kind shops and quaint cafes/bars/restaurants. The main items on the menu at KDG are waffles and ice cream prepared however you like with various toppings; however the atmosphere of the café was what I liked the most, and you gotta give props to the owners for coming up with such fun and corky concept for a café!

Yelp
Quote from my friend: cutest establishment she has ever patronized. Absolutely adorable inside. Open late. Delicious ice cream + waffles. The waffles are decent but could be crispier. The ice cream is house made and delicious. 3 euro gets you a waffle with ice cream that you could easily share for dessert. Does NOT take cards. Would recommend in the evening because it has a nice evening vibe and they sell beer.

Yelp
Went to this place by accident and I sure am glad I did! :) Those are the best waffles I have ever had in my life! I didn't like those tiny uncomfortable tables inside but besides that - all is great! Will return for sure :p

Yelp
Amazing place, amazing interior and atmosphere. Best place for big delicious and cheap breakfast. One of my most favourite places in Berlin.

Yelp
Delicious Waffles and a great atmosphere on a warm weekend. Place gets too crowded usually though.
google avatar

Yelp
REALLY good waffle. Much like a sweet, doughy liege waffle but in a huge square and a bit lighter. Surprisingly better than the majority of waffles I've had in Belgium. I had the waffle with pistachio ice cream and it was excellent, but one little scoop of ice cream isn't enough - get at least 2, especially if you're sharing (it's perfect for sharing). Cozy place, good vibe, and open late even on weekdays.

Yelp
Would have liked to try this place, but they were already closing at midnight -- an hour earlier than posted on yelp. I suggested that they update their listing to prevent confusion for future guests, but they didn't seem to really care. I doubt that they'll mind the 1-star review either.

Yelp
I had the kirsch waffle with canned cherries and neon custard made up from a powder. It's very typical of prenzlauer berg - cheeky looking but not much substance food wise. Most people would disagree with me though. It's always packed!
google avatar

Janina D.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just bought two waffles and had them as takeaway. The people in the cafe were quite confused and it took them pretty long to get our order done. They forgot that it was for takeaway and then just put it on a paper tray. When we got home the waffles were cold and the ice cream hat made them soggy. I still liked the taste of it and thought that white chocolate is a good idea as a flavor. I won't return though as it was really unorganized and not as good as I had hoped.

Susu H.

Yelp
So nice vegan waffles (4€) and coffee (3€)! Lovely seat areas in and outside! I've been here a couple times!
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
The employee clearly enjoyed letting me sit in the empty cafe without informing me of the self-service policy. Happy to provide the information sarcastically whilst I was on my way out though. Terrible way to treat guests and the staff clearly get zero training. Obviously sitting on their laurels now they are known. This is a big mistake. Cannot recommend and will never be back.

Yelp
Great cheap waffles - funky vibe on cool street of shops/restaurants. Also nice coffee/drinks spot. Not for a full meal, but great snack/hang out spot - nice service, great decor.

Alex V.

Yelp
Even with consideration of cultural standards, I'd still say the service here was horrendous. I was there around noon on a Monday. I went and sat down after ordering... after some time, people who ordered before me all received their food. And then it felt like I was swallowed by the abyss. All I was waiting on was a waffle with a scoop of ice cream on it. Why did it feel like an eternity before it was brought out? And it was mediocre at best.

Yelp
Okay, so maybe it wasn't the best idea to have breakfast in this area of Prenzlauerberg on a Sunday without reservations. I felt kind of bad for the Berliners because there were so many tourists, including us of course, making it almost impossible to find a table for two without reservations. Luckily we found some seats at Kauf dich Glucklich and while the rest of the crowd was outside in the sun, the inside of this place is so nicely decorated that i didn't feel bad at all. We didn't try the waffles, but got the breakfast for two instead. You have to stand in line to order and it takes pretty long, but reggae music was playing and the vibe was right. The breakfast for two was really nice. Most of it was organic i think. I highly recommend this place, but if you wanna come on a Sunday you beter come early.
google avatar

Yelp
Indeed, this place is very nice. Dropped by around 20:00 on a summer Sunday and had a plain waffle with vanilla ice cream. Was very nice. Staff friendly, comfy, hip interior but relaxed and not pretentious at all. The waffle / price ratio is very good, i was surprised with the size as it was less than a few euro.

Yelp
you can get the Best ICE CREAM and WAFFLE here. the best I had was just plain waffle with ice cream on top. I also had apple sauce one and I suggest you take ice cream with that too because its really good with it! such a cute store/cafe. If its sunny warm day outside its great if u can have breakfast or afternoon outside of the cafe. great atmosphere for family and couples as well!

Yelp
Friendly quirky little place. Amazing vegan waffles & good coffee. Friendly helpful staff.

Yelp
Delicious Ice Cream on one of Prenzlauer Berg most beautiful street. Enjoyed the mix and match chinaware.

Qype User (senor_…)

Yelp
I really like this place. After a long day of sightseeing or strolling through the streets, it's good to come inside an have a warm coffee, a fresh mint tea or a delicious waffle. Refreshing drinks like fritz cola or club mate are allthough available. The interior is cozy with all of the old chairs and comfy couches. Unfortunately it's a bit fishy to order something, because there's not much space in the entrance.

Qype User (knutwu…)

Yelp
Absolutely charming. One of the first places I started going to regularly in Berlin. The waffles really are a big treat when you're out late on a Friday night or on a nice Sunday afternoon. Always get the waffle with ice cream, never get it bare. The place is a sort of thrift store cum cafe, so all the tables, chairs, lamps, and knickknacks are actually available for purchase. The interior is comfy, with plenty of places to sit and chill out (although some of the chairs are less stable than others). When it's nice, sitting outside is wonderful too on all the lovely iron patio furniture sets. Always a nice place for a pick-me-up if you're in the neighborhood.

Yelp

Qype User (Xero…)

Yelp
Unfriendly staff and awful music. Looked ok from the outside but were disappointed.
