Kauffman's Country Bakery

Small shop with baked goods and other grocery items. Sells sit down food also. Sometimes it's busy so plan on going early. Typical Amish county selections but found these hard to find orange cookies that used to be very popular but some how disappeared. Glad too see them back!

Primarily upset about the ingredients in my cookie A bakery should be using natural and healthy ingredients My cookies tasted like palm oil and artificial butter. It was really disheartening

They offer a wide variety off baked goods and other items. This is a must stop when visiting the area.

The donuts and raisin bread were delicious. I wish the raisin bread would have had some icing on top. They did sell that separately. Staff was very friendly. Update: I did buy the icing and it was Best buy 7/15/25. I had put the bread in the freezer because I bought more than one loaf. When I open the icing on 7/1/25 it was no longer any good and I could not even stir it. So if you do get the icing use it as soon as you get it.

I was in "Amish country" last weekend. While I was incredibly disappointed at how the entire are has become a tourist trap, I was stunned at how difficult it was to find fresh baked goods. Most people recommended Kauffman's bakery. Mid morning Monday, I found most shelves mostly empty and the baked goods that were there were not just day old (based on label dates) but multiple days old with the same premium prices. I ended up buying an apple fritter. Took one bite on my way out and threw it in the trash. What a shame.

Just stopped on my way through, this place smells so good. Wish I had brought something, all food is priced well, busy!

A small bakery shop that was very busy and short staffed. Clean and well organized. We bought fresh bread and cookies. They had a selection of store brand preserves and such.

We will never return!! We have been here quite a few times and the service was always ok! This time it was just down right awful there was 2 girls at the front counter and 2 in the back a little talking. It took us a few minutes to even be greeted and the girl was very loud and rude she slammed the doors open and acted as if she didnt even want to serve us! She rushed us through our entire order ! I have seen a lot of rude people but this girl put the icing on the cake! Its a shame because the food is very good we stop every chance we get to get glazed donuts and cinnamon rolls! I would give this service 0 stars if I could !
