A very nice experience. It’s fascinating to see the animals up close and observe the details of their bodies—something that’s impossible in a zoo. The museum even includes some rare specimens, such as a 200 kg flounder and a saber-toothed deer. Some of the specimens even have amusing, expressive looks (see the last photo), so I recommend starting on the lowest level to lift your spirits right at the beginning of your visit.

Surprisingly good museum packed with collections of insects, shells, fossils and stuffed animals. It was so interesting I ended up spending much longer there than I anticipated. Excellent value for money.

This museum is conveniently located. Laisvės Alley is smooth. The museum collections are very informative and colorful. There are exhibits that show animals in the wild. Some exhibits are about 100 years old. But... how many animals have died and been stuffed...

The museum has a large number of exhibits, from tiny insects to impressive large animals. Every room offers something interesting, whether you’re into marine life, birds, or mammals. It’s well-organized, educational, and perfect for a calm, curious visit. A must for anyone interested in nature and science.

If you’re in Kaunas I highly recommend a trip here. So many animals. The displays spread out over several floors. A lot more animals than I thought. Myself and my friend throughly enjoyed the visit and stayed about 90 minutes looking at all the animals and creatures.

Very nice place to visit. Every month Sunday is free. But the ticket are not expensive. The exhibition is huge. Three floors. Worth it!

The Museum is great for anyone interested in the natural world. Located in the heart of Kaunas, this museum offers a journey through the diverse realms of zoology, making it an enriching experience for visitors of all ages especially children. The museum boasts an extensive collection of over 200,000 specimens, showcasing the rich diversity of animal life from all over the world. The displays are meticulously organized, providing a comprehensive look at various species, their habitats, and behaviors. The dioramas, which recreate natural environments, are particularly impressive and help to bring the exhibits to life. One of the museum's strongest points is its educational focus. It caters to students, researchers, and casual visitors alike. Interactive displays and detailed information plaques provide deep insights into the animal kingdom, making it an excellent resource for learning.

I find it to be interesting that especially big animals from africa which are illegal to hunt nowadays often don't have a year of hunting /death shown in the exhibition. Makes you wonder if they were killed illegal not a too long time ago. Considering that there a lot of animals shown being killed in recent years like 2016.
