Kaunas city Chamber Theatre is a municipal theatre. The theatre was established in 1976 as Kaunas Youth Musical Studio. Its founder and long-standing director was the Lithuanian actor and opera singer Stanislovas Rubinovas. The theatre obtained the status of a professional theatre in 1986 and was called Kaunas Youth Chamber Theatre. Its name was changed to Kaunas Chamber Theatre in 2005. After Stanislovas Rubinovas death, his son, actor and director Aleksandras Rubinovas, was leading the theatre as artistic director from 2014 till 2016. From April 2016 former municipal budget office Kaunas Chamber Theatre was replaced by the public institution Kaunas City Chamber Theatre. The theatre, in addition to his own productions, also started to represent chamber productions of other Lithuanian theatres more intensively

you are 5 minutes late in searching the building and you are not allowed into the event. The administration is absolutely not interested in solving problems and respecting customers. I do not recommend this establishment, which takes your money and no one cares.

Wonderful shows. Always a good experience.

Fairly comfortable location for public transport. The building is furnished pretty well. Waiting lounge could be bigger and ventilation system was not active during performance. Performance was pretty good(I am not the type who goes to these kind of establishments).

Quality of acting droped after A. Rubinovas has left. Mostly amateurish presentations now, though there are some very good dramatizations run by elderly actors migrating from the state drama theater.

Cute stylish small theater. But it gets cold in there in winter, so dress up warm!
