While the location and views are stunning, our experience was far from perfect. We were in room 33, which is on the reception floor. The room was outdated, and we could hear every noise from the reception.
Although our room was right by the reception, the WiFi barely worked, which made it feel pointless to have it at all. The staff, in general, were not very friendly and seemed bothered by simple requests like borrowing an iron. Breakfast staff were especially rude, giving the impression that they don't care about the guests. On a positive note, one of the reception ladies was nice and helpful.
The hotel's main highlight is its location—it’s right on the cliff with a breathtaking view of the crater and perfectly situated in the center of Fira, making it easy to explore the area. However, the high price is hard to justify given the outdated rooms and lackluster service. A beautiful view and central location are not enough to make up for the shortcomings in hospitality.
