Kavos Naxos, Naxos, Greece - Explore & Book

"People often ask me, as someone who has been visiting and writing about Greece for 15 years, what my favourite island is. And I always answer Naxos, for its combination of gold-sand beaches and lush mountainous interior, of sleepy white pueblos and a lively seafront hora (capital). And my favourite beach on Naxos? That would have to be Ayios Prokopios, a long arc of sand and turquoise water placed just far enough from Hora to feel blissfully secluded, yet near enough (10 mins’ drive) to piggy-back on its engaging and unfancified restaurants, bars and boutiques. And my top tip for where to stay? You guessed it: the beautifully designed and immaculately run suites and villas of Kavos, with their rampantly exotic gardens, their spacious Cyc-chic interiors and their private verandas looking across sparkling seas to neighbouring Paros. There's a much-loved restaurant looking onto a pretty little pool, and it's a seamlessly run by English-speaking manager Loukas. Prices - especially out of season - are very fair. All of which, for a couple or family seeking a tranquil and stylish island escape, puts it squarely at the top of the heap. Highs Unbeatable location, on a sheltered. sunset-facing hillside above the bay of Ayios Prokopios You get the freedom of a rental (kitchen, private patio or roof terrace) plus the perks of a small resort (restaurant, bar, staff) We loved the colourful gardens - rose and herb bushes, lawns and bougainvillea-shaded patios If you tire of swimming and sunbathing, there's wind- and kite-surfing nearby, plus mountain-biking, horse-riding and hiking Naxos is well served by planes, ferries and hydrofoils from Athens, and links well with Paros, Santorini, Mykonos or Syros Lows You’re not right on the beach, but 15-20 mins’ walk above (away from any road or bar noise) Although you could manage without, life will be easier with a hire car, for shuttling to the beach and into Hora The area can get windy in summer when the meltemi blows" - Michael Cullen

I had an amazing stay at Kavos Boutique Hotel in Naxos. The location is perfect – quiet, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and with stunning views of the sea. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely terrace to relax and enjoy the island atmosphere. The pool area is wonderful, and the restaurant serves delicious food with great attention to detail. What really makes this hotel special is the team – everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel at home from the very first moment. If you are looking for a place in Naxos that combines comfort, style, and true Greek hospitality, Kavos is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stayed in room #10, the Honeymoon Suite. From the moment we saw it we were enchanted - the two private patios with comfy sitting areas were so welcoming and had incredible views surrounded by gardens. The room itself was clean and well maintained (just look out for the hard-to-see steps). The pool and surroundings were gorgeous and we were happy to spend hours just there. Walkable to the beach (but steep narrow streets, look out for tourist drivers...) Shout out to Lukas the manager for being on top of every need. And the breakfast, served poolside, was fresh and delicious.

Our stay at Kavos Hotel Naxos was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality stood out—Loukas (the GM) and his team kindly welcomed us with an early check-in, which made traveling with our 4-year-old twins so much easier. We spent six nights here, and every day felt like a gift.||The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa that was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Having the option to put the kids to bed and then relax with a drink on our private terrace or the rooftop made the experience all the more special. The staff and even the owner were also wonderful with our children, which made us feel even more at home.||Loukas went above and beyond, offering thoughtful advice and helping us plan experiences so we could truly enjoy everything the island has to offer. ||Eleni and Areti (Emma) at the restaurant and bar made every evening a delight. We spent hours chatting with them.||When it was finally time to leave, we found ourselves hugging the staff goodbye, which says everything about how they made us feel. We left with countless wonderful memories, and we cannot wait to return. I can’t recommend Kavos Hotel Naxos highly enough—it’s a gem we’ll never forget.

We enjoyed an outstanding stay at Kavos Hoyel. The rooms and patios are beautiful, along with the lush landscaping. The pool and restaurant area are incredible and views to match. The breakfast each morning was excellent and we enjoyed dinner by the pool on two nights. Very good! Staff is very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return to this hotel!

Kavos was the perfect choice for our final stay on our three week holiday. After a hiking trip in Italy and a little island hopping in Greece we were really to relax without any set plans. The Kavos accommodations are private, peaceful and spacious and the welcome and local recommendations by Loukas the GM made us feel right at home. We walked to the beach daily and enjoyed the walk along the beach and even through the small neighborhood surrounding Kavos. On the one day we decided to rent a car to do some exploring, Loukas had arranged to have the car delivered right to the hotel. And the one late afternoon and evening we went in into Naxos town ( only 10 minutes away) Loukas gave us the name of a local taxi driver and some great dinner recommendations. Having a car for the full time would have been easy but we chose the perfect pace to relax on our final days in Greece. A special recommendation to Stelida restaurant where the nightly dinners ( and delicious breakfasts) were excellent and served in the most charming of settings along side their pool. The restaurant wait staff- including Eleni and Katerina and the others ( whose names I forget) were friendly additions to our breakfasts and dinners. What a memorable time!

My hubby 🇺🇸 and I 🇵🇱/🇺🇸 had a fabulous stay at this little gem💙We loved the idea of a small scale boutique hotel, where we can relax in relative peace and quiet. It's worth a mention that this property is a walking distance to a beautiful sandy/clear water beach Agios Prokopios. Hint: Do not miss a Donut Man, you can thank me later.😎 The hotel is built on the hill, in a terrace like manner. This allows every room to have at least a partial sea view. Our studio was cozy, comfortable and spotless clean. The grounds are beautiful, obviously designed and maintained by a skilled professional. The garden was an eye candy.. It was a pleasure to take a stroll on tiny property paths, lined up with fragrant, colorful plants. Aromatherapy on demand. Alternately, sipping a cup of coffee on a sunny patio, with a kitty in a lap, was a true delight. We didn't make a use of a swimming pool but it looked pristine. The restaurant is a charming place with a view and you will get a royal treatment there thanks to Arethie🥰 and the Master Cheffin🥰 .. There was another sweet young waitress helping out during our stay, but I didn't catch her name. We had daily breakfasts and they were all delish! Best fresh pressed orange juice we ever had and we still miss that...oatmeal. Yet what truly made this a great stay was hotel services. This place is run by a team of hospitality Pros. If you have any issues or concerns Loukas (the manager) is easy to reach and very helpful. Any other staff member is courteous, responsive and respectful. You will be in good hands from start to finish. It feels like home away from home. If we visit Naxos in a future, Kavos will most likely be our top choice. Hopefully, the same nice team will still be there. Thank you all for making our vacation a joy, especially on the last day! (Loukas🙏) Miss you. 💙🇬🇷💙

This boutique hotel is really lovely and the staff are great staff.||We stayed for the best part of a week and stayed in suite 10 which had a large bathroom and open plan bedroom, lounge and kitchen. It also had a terrace with partial sea view. It was a short walk (less had one minute) to the bar/pool/restaurant area despite being possibly the furthest from those areas.||The suite was spacious and very clean (and kept very clean by housekeeping - thank you). The grounds are green and lovely - flowers and herbs everywhere (some of which contribute to the food and cocktails - great cocktails).||Infinity pool view is nice - straight out to sea (to spy on the big yachts and the rich) and big enough for a leisurely swim.||Food - the evening meals at the Salida Restaurant are simply stunning and at such a high standard. The specials were always special and the chef is clearly very talented. Waiting staff are lovely too and a great source of information.||Breakfast choices are comprehensive (great coffee) and very good.||We hired a car and Naxos town is only 10-15 minutes away and has supermarkets if you want to get more water and snacks. The town is lovely (especially the alleyways of the old town) and a short walk to the Temple of Apollo at sunset is special if crowded.||Overall - can't recommend the Kavos and its team enough.

5/5 Was already a perfect stay with a great restaurant on site, but when we ran into some issues with the wind for our return ferry Loukas was superb in sorting out any issues, such as speaking to the ferry company for clarification on the conditions and then extending our stay and sorting out taxi transfers for when we were ready to go. The last night we forgot to reserve a space in the restaurant and Loukas was kind enough to offer to bring our food to our apartment. Really above and beyond service made you feel very welcome.
