Kawaguchiko Station Inn

I booked the Fujisan view room and it is absolutely worth it. Amazing view from the room and their comforter is soooo fluffy. They provide yukata(?) toothbrush, water heater, and green tea in the room. They also have clothing iron if you need it. Only thing we wish they have is a mirror in the room but the toilet was near so I guess it is fine. The inn is right in front of Kawaguchiko station so its also very convenient. The receptionist lady also offer to help me call Yamato when I asked her about an issue I have with my luggage delivery which saved me a lot of headache. The public bath was amazing as you can have a view of Fujisan while bathing.

The host was great but the value just isn't there. Shared bathrooms and showers, no elevator, and the rooms are very modest. Can't beat the location but prices are comparable to other places nearby. Host did store our bags for a small fee. Felt better than a locker.

Kawaguchiko Station InnConvenient location right opposite the stationNo lift in building, but the building is only 4 storeys high. Tatami bedding is soft and comfortable, room is warm and clean. And very spacious - enough for 3 and 2 big luggage and still space to move about. Kettle and water pitcher provided. Yukata, towel and toothbrush provided. Onsen was great - went multiple times and was always almost empty, perhaps everyone was shy. Otherwise individual cbathing cubicles are also available, though only 2. Toilets are separate, common one on every floor. Same, never saw anyone else at the same time nor had to wait, perhaps everyone is out most of the time. Best part of the rooms is the view… 🤩Tldr: very convenient location with spacious warm rooms, great views and free onsen.

The location of the hotel is right opposite the station. Is very convenience for those travelling on public transport. The hotel is a bit old but you have basically everything you need. Mr. Furuoka is very friendly, helpful and is always ready to answer your questions. He gave us the room with Mt. Fuji view. It's amazing. I will recommend this hotel to those who wish to spend a night in Kawaguchiko.

Good morning Fuji-san! Amazing hotel with an amazing location just steps away from the transport hub and a short walk to Lake Kawaguchiko. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. There is also an add-on breakfast option that costs 750JPY.

The room is beautiful and exactly as advertised. The room has a view of Mt. Fuji. The staff are lovely and friendly and can speak English. The location is near the train and buses to and from Tokyo are convenient. The bedroom is clean. There are both single bathrooms and separate onsen for men and women. The women's onsen room has a view of Mt. Fuji. Very impressive.

Stayed at this inn 15 years ago and loved it because it's great value for money and awesome view of Mount Fuji from our room and Onsen. Thus decided to come back again this time. Did not disappoint. Service is excellent and room is spacious and clean. Share bathrooms are also clean. It's just next to Kawaguchiko Station and that's a supper plus point. Highly recommended.

Stayed twice. May 2024 and Feb 2025. Perfect location,very friendly staff,excellent value for money. Wonderful public bath with mount Fuji view. My room face mount muji as well 😁

For anyone on a budget, their rates start at roughly 4200 yen/night including the 5% tax - however the prices do change by season and room availability For pure convenience, I give this lodging a 5 star. It is literally across the street from Kawaguchiko Station Inn, so you don't have to worry about transporting your luggage to yet another location. The rooms are simple, tatami mats with down comforter, plenty of room. There are TVs however, please note that all the programming available was in Japanese. There is free wifi, but it can be pretty slow especially at night, when I assume that everyone is back from their hikes and trying to access the Wi-Fi at the same time. I would highly recommend Kawaguchiko Station Inn for a convenient stay near Lake Kawaguchiko for an amazing view of Mt Fuji and easy access to the red line buses to travel the rest of the lake as long as you curb your expectations for a budget friendly stay. *Tip* they are cash only and there are no non-smoking rooms according to their website. However there were no smells of smoke in our room during the stay

Awesome budget accommodation with views of Mt Fuji and a rooftop onsen. It's within sight of the train/bus station, and walking distance to lots of local bars and restaurants. Highlights for me were the great Japanese breakfast and the onsen, with magnificent views of Mt. Fuji-- simply incredible. The staff were lovely and let us keep bags after check out, too.
