Kawhia Beachside Scape Holiday Park

Great place to stay! We had a campsite directly at the sea, clean facilities and awesome personnel. You can borrow kayaks for free. The boss helped us out because the gas station didn’t accept our credit card. Such a helpful and kind person! Thanks again for everything

First time to Kāwhia and could not have picked a better place to stay. Great facilities and very friendly, genuinely kind and accommodating staff. Thanks Conrad for going the extra mile and showing my husband how and where to go flounder fishing. We’ve been to a few holiday parks, but this one stands out as one of our favourites. Don’t often write reviews let alone give a 5 star rating, but this is well deserved.

After reading good reviews about this place, we booked the 2 bedroom motel as we liked that it had water views. We booked months in advance only to arrive (after driving all day) to the receptionist saying there had been a mistake with our booking. Someone else had taken our booking. No one had called to let us know. They were trying to offer us an "upgrade" for $100. We asked to look at the room and is was a tiny corner unit right next to a driveway with no views. It didn't feel clean at all, the floors were sticky on our shoes. When we said we weren't happy they offered the room to us for free. We decided to pass and drove another 1.5hrs to something better. Very disappointing as we had planned our trip around this accommodation.

What a lovely campsite and the owner is very friendly and helpful. We were given a beautiful waterfront pitch and really enjoyed just watching the view changing with the tides. The site is great value with lots to do, and we were pleased to stay an extra night. The museum is well worth a visit too as the fossil collection is cool. Thank you

i had a huge non powered site right on the waters edge. I cannot say enough plus's for the guy that runs it, I forgot my campchairs so he gave me one too use. He always had a smile on his face, and spent time giving the children rides on watercraft behind his boat. Facilities were good and clean, I cannot fault this camp and Conrad you are a bloody good guy.

Stayed on site 3 there was a pipe that stunk and running water sound at night. Could not use the spa was cold when we tried. Kitchen amazing set up and tv room on ponit. Just a same there discharging waste into the Harbour by there swimming beach :( location on point 👉 Was there for 2 days and not once did i see the office open or any staff around 🤔 to ask about the pipe and spa. Apart from this I would recommend this place.

Best place to stay in Kawhia!!✨️ We absolutely love coming here. Tent sites right on the waters edge at such an amazing price, fully set up kitchen with everything you need, very clean facilities, kayaks and paddle boards for the whole family, use of spades for kawhias beautiful hot water beach located about 10 mins drive from camp and the owner is an awesome guy with plenty of knowledge about the town who is super easy to speak with and has a very accomadating nature. We will definitely be back👌 an abundance of beauty and so grateful we found you. Thankyou again Kawhia Beachside Scape. And see you again soon ✨️

Beautiful grounds, friendly staff / owner. Comfortable covered BBQ area. We went out in their kayaks. The water was calm and it was really fun! Great value!
