Kawhia Beachside Scape Holiday Park

Beautiful spot to stay, we were gutted about the weather but for the short time we stayed it was wonderful. Absolutely clean faculties, fantastic hosts that were very helpful. The kitchen has everything you need & is spacious for alot of people to make their food and drinks. Good large lounge room, excellent showers with great pressure! Absolutely loved the place. You can choose from a self contained unit or rooms (from what we saw) and you have beach access right at your door. Great prices too probably the most affordable campground we have stayed at. Don't forget to try the food at the little caravan by the office. Absolutely incredible food, we had a "Big back burger" absolutely lives up to its name, it was so delicious. 5 stars from us! Can't wait to come back again hopefully the weather will be kinder to us next time!

We stayed one night in a motorhome, friendly owner and amazing location. Site right on the water. The food truck on site "Cuzzies" made the best burgers and chips. It was a stormy night with 100km winds and the owner went above and beyond to help the campers with tents etc blowing around. Will be back when the sun is shining to enjoy this slice of paradise again! Highly recommend

Amazing trip out with a mate with the beachside tent spot. Set up with a great greeting, helpful locals and an easy stay to get around. Facilities are more than helpful. Conrad (owner) even offered us a nice and easy boat for me and a mate to first time learn, then head out to catch fish. Fishing chances very high. And to top it free showers, free kayaks, paddle-boards with safety and gear. Overall great owner, kind locals and solid place to stay.

Had a lovely stay here. Excellent service and facilities. Had a large group staying with room accomodation as well as a tent site. Everything was clean and well run. The location was a close walk to town and beachfront with kayaks/ paddleboards to enjoy

We had an incredible stay at Kawhia Beachside Scape – hands down one of the best experiences we've had as a family while travelling! Conrad was absolutely amazing: warm, kind, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The accommodation was perfect for our group. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortably fit all of us with room for our luggage. The beds were super comfy with thick, warm blankets that kept us cosy despite the cold Kawhia weather (we're from Western Australia, so it was very chilly for us!). There was a heater in the room originally and Conrad kindly added small heaters in both rooms – even though we didn’t end up needing them, it just shows how thoughtful and attentive he was. The toilets and showers were spotless, and the hot water and pressure were perfect – especially appreciated in the cold! The communal kitchen was clean and well-equipped, and the entire property was peaceful, tidy, and beautifully maintained. We had such a relaxing and enjoyable time and felt so welcomed throughout our stay. We’re already planning to book again for our next family holiday – this time a bigger crew of us. We truly couldn’t recommend Kawhia Beachside Scape more highly. Thank you again for making our stay so amazing Conrad!

We booked a powered camp site. Great views over the harbour. A well equiped kitchen and lounge area. Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly on request, if your dog is quiet and well-behaved.

Great place to stay and relax! We took our campervan out there for a weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. Had a site right on the waterfront. Conrad is very friendly and welcoming. Facilities are all very clean, showers are awesome and the kitchen and lounge are huge. The grounds and campsites are immaculate too. There is also a big spa pool which we soaked in both nights - luxury! This camp is dog friendly too (on leash of course).

We loved our stay. Super convenient for the early starts on the charter boats. Excellent facilities, right on the water with a great communal layout. We have already booked and extended our stay for next year.
