ATLANTA CITY GUIDE

"Kaya Vineyards and Winery was one of the first and largest of the current vineyards in the Dahlonega area. The winery, built upon the apex of a ridge topping a 1,600 foot elevation, offers the most exquisite mountain view in North Georgia and incomparable vineyard views from its tasting room, which is open daily year-round. Enjoy sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the panorama of lush vineyards, while experiencing some of the best wines in the Southeast."

What a beautiful place! The view of the vineyards and mountains is incredible! I enjoyed the wines I drank—sorry, I don't remember the names—and the service (maybe Kayla) was very good too. They have an electric car charger.

The journey to this stunning destination felt like it took an eternity, but I can confidently say that the experience was mostly worth the long drive. I traveled with a sizable group of friends, and as we arrived, we were greeted by a vast and inviting open area. The landscape was breathtaking, with expansive views of lush green trees and sprawling fields that seemed to stretch for miles. It was the perfect escape to relax and momentarily disconnect from the chaos of everyday life. This serene spot has definitely captured my interest, and I can see myself returning in the near future. The weather was ideal; the sun cast a warm glow, while a gentle breeze created a refreshing atmosphere. The staff members we encountered were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience. We spread out blankets on the soft grass and enjoyed a delightful picnic, surrounded by nature's beauty. For those who prefer a more structured seating arrangement, there are comfortable benches scattered around the area as well. In addition to the picturesque surroundings, the facility features a charming gift shop and offers a variety of food and beverages that cater to families. Overall, we had an incredible time soaking in the scenery and enjoying each other’s company, although I must admit, the long drive was quite the undertaking!

Google
5 star scenery with gorgeous views and a mix of wine qualities. Wish I could have customized the tasting flight to have gotten a better sample and the one glass at a time tasting sample took away from the tasting experience. Tasting room is cavernous and very loud when busy but pretty, functional, and stocked wirh great and knowledgeable service from the bartenders.

Google
A fantastic place for wine tasting! We chose the "sweet"wines & they even allowed us to share as we aren't great wine drinkers! Our favorite was the blue truck variety & the bartender was kind & knowledgeable. We sat on the patio & the views were great. We enjoyed the chicken salad & the pimento cheese spread looked great. I would highly recommend!

We had our wedding at Kaya a few months ago and we're still glowing. Everything was perfect!! Thanks to all the staff for their hard work!

Great place to stay. Cottages are very comfortable and cozy: have 3 bedrooms each with its own bath, plus an additional half bath on ground floor.

Very pretty views. When we arrived with our dogs, the patrons there were sooo welcoming to our dogs. Not just a dog friendly winery, the patrons were as well! The Staff is very nice and accommodating. The wine was very good!!! The outdoor seating was very nice and comfortable.

Yelp
Staff was friendly, beautiful views, and decent wine! They even have a food menu to order from as well

Yelp
This winery has a great view. They have both indoor and outside seating (covered and uncovered). We ordered a flight. They do their flights different, whereas you get one at a time and you have to come back for the next one. The bar is busy but it goes fast. They do have plenty of parking and usually has a food truck.

Yelp
This place has great wine and servers! They also had a great lobster food truck outside. The seating is a little limited but it was alright. It was raining heavily so we didn't get to see the view but I would still be back!!

Yelp
Me and 11 other friends visited Kaya on wine tour for a friend's birthday. Kaya was the second stop on our tour, and this is probably where we had the most fun. Kaya sits on a really nice area of land, where all you see are trees and the winery itself. It's very picture-esque. We took several photos here with our entire group as the background is so nice and scenic. As for the wine, we were not disappointed at all. We decided to do a flight. They have a few flight options, where you get 5 1oz-2oz pours for $25. You can obviously choose to get a bottle on your own, or a regular pour of something else as well. We just preferred to get flights, because we like to try a bunch of different wines. All the wines tasted great. I prefer the reds, as I a more of a red kind of guy, where as my fiancé prefers whites. Kaya is definitely at the top of our list as one of our favorite wineries, and we've been to quite a few. The vibes are great and the ambiance is just perfect. The weather when we went was also perfect too. It honestly couldn't get any better. Highly recommend visiting Kaya in North Georgia, one of my favorites!

Yelp
Back to Northern Georgia wine country and our first stop today was Kaya. I've been to a half dozen of these wine tasting rooms in this area and while there are some standouts, it's time to update Kaya as my favorite. We started with bites on the patio. The baked pretzels were tasty and fresh. Doughy and flavorful with both a mustard and a cheese sauce for dipping. Then a plate of house-made pimento cheese with crackers and crudités. Fabulous for nearly two hours with wine, wine and more wine. It's okay, I'm not driving today! After time in the sun on the deck that overlooks the vineyards, we set up inside at the tasting bar where Natalie took care of us. If you're lucky enough to catch Natalie, you're guaranteed a great time. I still don't know a lot about wine but I know what I like. The stainless steel chardonnay was fabulous but the malbec was my overall favorite. Great menu, great wines, attentive friendly service and a fantastic view. This is the best. Yelp
I came back with a friend. I decided to do their flight. They had four options for their flights so I went with their mixed option. Here's my problem, they give you one glass and a card and they cross out the wine you're tasting. It got very annoying to have to get up when I was done with that glass and walk up to the counter and wait in line then have them fill the next wine. I swear they've done flights where they give you the entire flight and you go sit down and enjoy (like any normal winery would?) I honestly don't think this is a very good system that they have because not only was it kinda annoying to get up all the time and wait in line but also our table outside would be taken so we just sat inside so we can leave our stuff at the table, watch it and make sure nothing was taken. Not sure if they ran out of flights or if this is the norm here. Also, the guys at the bar would take their time to explain the wine they were pouring for my friend (she did their sweet flight) and then they'd pour mine and didn't tell me a single thing about the wine. Just sent me on my way lol. I guess good thing for the card on the back to tell me!

Yelp
Service was great. Pretzel bites are DISGUSTING. 10/10 don't recommend. 6 of us all agreed

Yelp
Beautiful scenery, great wine. Very popular and busy on Saturday but not overwhelmingly so. Food truck on the Saturday that we visited which was great.

Yelp
We decided to stop here after an overnight glamping trip in the nearby area. North Georgia is known for their wineries and I highly recommend trying a few of them. It was during the week so there was about 5 people total in the winery. This was my first visit here. There was plenty of parking in the gravel lot in front of the building. We opted for the $25 wine flight. They offer sweet, semi sweet and dry flights. Luckily because they weren't't busy, we were able to mix it up a bit more on the options. I enjoyed my flight a lot! They also sell wine slashes. The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable about their wines and recommendations. The weather was a perfect Georgia Fall. We sat outside on the wrap around deck and because it wasn't busy, we had our pick of seating. The backdrop are the beautiful North Georgia mountains! Especially picturesque with the fall foliage. They have a lower and upper deck and a covered patio area all outlooking the vineyard. Indoor seating is also an option. They have a cute country store where they sell local products and a winery gift shop in the back. I would definitely go back!

Yelp
The views are amazing. We went to listen to The Latta's music which we really enjoyed. The wine is wonderful and everyone is so nice. I have Celiac disease and when asked about Gluten Free crackers to go with our Cheese board, Tom went out of his way to bring me the new crackers they are serving for this. I was so impressed with his kindness. I highly recommend this Winery. We have been several times and will keep going back. We live in Blairsville, Ga.

Yelp
A lovely escape to the countryside in northern Georgia. After a nice Saturday morning hike, we needed refueling at lunch time so we stopped at this winery. It's a beautiful venue and we were greeted by live musicians. There's also a quaint gift shop for wine and kitchen things as well as jewelry and other little things. It was Christmas time when we went so there were a lot of cute but not over priced ornaments and decor. I didn't try any wine but my boyfriend got a glass of one of their reds and liked it. My only complaint and maybe it's because they don't have a true kitchen is that our food was all delivered in to-go packaging. It was all single use plastics and that was unfortunate considering we were out in the mountains appreciating nature but contributing to more landfill. Besides this, I was very happy with my visit and when we were leaving we saw a little wine tasting shuttle bus that looked fun. Might be back for that adventure -plenty of parking in the front -seating for groups as big as 4 -outdoor seating (but no heaters in tent if trying to go when it's cold)

Yelp
$25 wine flights. Their glasses don't fit the boards so you get a glass a time. They provide a card and every time you are ready for another, you simply provide the card at one of their bar areas for your next tasting glass. Comes with 5 glasses. The location is beautiful, relaxing and about a little over 1 hr outside of ATL.

Yelp
My dad and I had a great experience at Kaya today. Sarah was our server and she was amazing. We really enjoyed the wines and it was a lovely place to spend a friday afternoon. Sarah made it a real treat for us and we loved talking with her. I would highly recommend going to Kaya for a wine tasting.

Yelp
We attended the Jeeps in the Vine event this past weekend at the suggestion of my sister/brother in law who live here and have attended before. We drove our Jeep up for Florida with pre purchased tickets for the event and VIP parking. We arrived about 1:00 p.m. and were able to get a good spot for both Jeeps, but it was tight, and we were glad we weren't much later. After setting up our tailgate area we ventured over to the bar for some wine and shopping. The inside space was sweltering. It was almost as if no air conditioning was running. Not good at all. Air should be cranked down for an event of this size! The patrons and the staff were all sweating. I felt so sorry for the staff. We didn't want the frozen slushies they offer, but it was so hot in there, they couldn't even make those, and people were very unhappy. They had a good selection of local vendors on site for shopping and I scored some new things from the candle vendor, the spice company that supports dog rescues and a lotion company that has products that smell like the different wines. That was fun and I love to support these types of vendors. The grounds are very pretty and the concept is great BUT everyone on the staff seemed overwhelmed and not very well prepared for this event. They need stronger managers/owners on site for things of this magnitude. We may come back next year but hope things are better planned. And also Father's Day weekend is probably not the best date as I don't think this is a kid friendly event. Owners need to reevaluate the whole thing.

Yelp
Gorgeous location, HOWEVER, DO NOT ORDER FOOD. We ordered Turkey Panini being that they were out of other items in the menu (per the staff) At the 30 minute mark I went up to the girl who took our order. (blond girl with pig tails) she said our order wasn't ready. At 47 minutes my husband requested our money back. A simple turkey panini should not take this long. Not to mention, she didn't even offer to change the item for something else. Just refunded the sandwiches. We would've gladly eaten anything else available. We decided to leave and hope they can get their staff and back end on the same page.

Yelp
Stopped here this past weekend around 2pm for a tasting. They have 3 options - a white tasting, a red tasting and a mixed tasting. They are $25 each. We got the white tasting and split it. They system is a little confusing and not super efficient, especially on a busy day. You got up to refill your glass after each one, so if the line is long, it takes a while just to get your next sip. The views are amazing and they have a great outdoor space!

Yelp
The weather was finally cooling down (in October 2020) so me and my bestie headed up to the mountains to be basic and sip on wines at the North Georgia vineyards. It wasn't too hard to find Kaya in the area. Parking was easy - although if you don't get there early enough, you may end up parking a painful rocky hike up the slope to the winery. Wine was served outside on the patio in plastic cups - there was plenty of outdoor seating on a Thursday afternoon. Indoor seating wasn't available at the time (October 2020) but I'm sure it is now. The weather was brisk but with some alcohol, I warmed up quickly! The few wines I tasted were just ok to me, and they are not very cheap by the glass - not enough to warrant purchasing a bottle to go. Even so, I enjoyed the view of the vineyard from the patio and people watching in the process. I also really loved the gift shop - and ALMOST got myself a membership in the process. I ended up purchasing a candle that came in a Kaya Vineyard wine bottle, which I think is ingenious. There are too many vineyards in the area for me to stop by again so soon, but I definitely wouldn't mind stopping in again now that everything has opened up AND that I've been vaccinated! And now that I know it's dog friendly, I will have to bring my pup next time!

Yelp
During the pandemic we've visited a good number of North Georgia wineries. Our preference is to go mid-week, split one or two tastings then buy a bottle to enjoy with the picnic lunch we generally bring. Today's experience was different. But I knew the rules in advance: -- Kaya prohibits outside food; they sell their own sandwiches, salads and charcuterie -- Tastings cost more than we're used to: $25 for five 1.5 ounce pours It makes sense that there would be a good number of people on a beautiful holiday weekend. There are plenty of areas to sit, but the prime spots -- on the balcony looking out at the mountains -- were taken. Luckily we had chairs in the trunk of our car, so we sat where we wanted! The views are indeed spectacular. A friend mentioned that her favorite wine is their Sangiovese Rose. Deterred from the tasting -- $25!! -- we bought a bottle of the Sangiovese ($27!) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Light and refreshing; a nice summer drink. On the weekend there's music. And as I said, crowds of people! Kaya has a more extensive gift shop than I've seen elsewhere but -- and I can't imagine this is right -- only two toilets!!! The line was long.....

Yelp
This place was amazing! I had no idea Georgia had a wine country while visiting a friend in the area but this was our first stop on our self guided tour and wow, did it leave an impression! First off, the view is GORGEOUS! The hills, the vineyard, just beautiful ambiance. It was so peaceful. We sat outside and it was lovely, lots of seating. The staff were nice and helpful. I tried the white/red mix tasting and every wine was great. The food there was delicious! We had a bunch of appetizers to share; the pretzels and cheese, goat cheese and veg/crackers, charcuterie board. Everything was finished, haha. Definitely recommend! If I ever make it back to Georgia I'll be coming back here!

Yelp
This Vineyard and winery has a beautiful location in the north Georgia mountains. IMO, their wines are very average yet extremely overpriced (not unusual for many of the wineries in North Georgia or elsewhere). We used our Atlanta passbook to get a buy one get one free lunch here today. Lunch selections amounted to 5 sandwich options with a bag of chips for the side. We had the turkey club and the brisket sandwich. The turkey club was fine, just a run-of-the-mill cold sandwich. The brisket sandwich was served hot and had better flavor, but there was not a lot of meat on the sandwich. For $16 each sandwich I would have felt totally ripped off if it weren't for the BOGO Making it $8 per sandwich. That said, I would never order food from here again. Come for the scenery, perhaps have a glass of overpriced wine, but I would recommend that you save your food dollars for somewhere else.

Yelp
Great tasting room, gift shop and view. Wines are pretty good. Despite the wind and cooler weather, they were busy. Worth stopping off if I'm the area.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at this vineyard. Not only was the wine amazing, but the service was even better. The food was good and affordable and the view is stunning. It was pretty packed on the day we went, but the staff managed really well and we were assisted and served in a timely manner. I appreciated that they had other drinks besides wine. The fruit infused juice tasted really good. They are limited on space; especially on days where a lot of people are visiting, but they have outdoor seating and a barn where they do love music so you have other options. There is a cabin on the property too that you can rent to stay. I'd like to see a specific area for bus parking some time in the near future. Other than that, this place is awesome. Go as soon as you have a chance and expect to be wowed. You will really enjoy yourself..
google avatar

Yelp
It was beautiful. Just the weekend getaway we were looking for. Stayed in a cottage. So perfect and clean. Could walk up the hill in two minutes to be at the winery. Live music, great wine, friendly staff, and breathtaking view. We will be back. Thank you for making my husbands birthday super special.

Yelp
3rd stop on the wine tour. Right down the street from Frogtown. These covid restrictions and distancing were the most strict so far but still no mask rules. Awesome! No inside seating unless you count the tent but the patio seating and views were pretty nice.
google avatar

Gabriella G.

Yelp
The place looks very nice and draws big crowds on a weekend! The inside room is reserved for club members, so you cannot have a tasting, just purchase by the glass or bottle. We had a glass of Chardonnay and one of Trifecta red. The wines were just okay. Very mild not full bodies so great if you want an easy soft wine. Not for the connoisseur. The ambiance of the place is nice as well, you're sitting next to the vineyard and they have a tent for the cold weather and some outdoor firepits that seem to be used as a table right now.

Yelp
Wine sipping against the Appalachian Mountains in a humid yet breezy Summer day with my momma in beautiful Dahlonega, GA! What a beautiful venue! Who would have imagined wine tasting in the east coast! Albeit, it isn't the west coast climate but it is gracious and unique in it's own special way! Selection was decent & service was as sweet as it can get!

Yelp
Driving the back country roads of the Dahlonega Wine country in Georgia, we stopped at KAYA VINEYARDS AND WINERY. A nice long drive, and we had hoped there would be a sit down and order at the table restaurant. Plenty of parking towards the top, but we do see what looked like limos and tour vans. Place is busy inside where the wine tasting is a big draw. We wanted a lunch. There is a separate que line for ordering from a menu book. Basically, they prepare sandwiches and salads. A turkey one for the lovely missus and a Cuban meaty one for me. A special alcoholic slushy concoction was added to share. This place is really busy as it quickly shows that the restrooms are inadequate for guests from groups. Wasn't sure if our beeper went off and a helpful young lady would check. She brought our sandwiches in plastic see thru containers along with fancy utensils all wrapped in a rolled, thick paper napkin. We sat inside near the tasting bar whilst outside on the patio, a couple of musicians are playing some favorite tunes. KAYA is otherwise a very nice vineyard, and the family owned winery has awards to show for it. Lunch was flavorful with lots of crunchy potato chips and a pickle for good measure. We did not make it to the gift shop, which was beyond the line to the restrooms. However, we checked out the valley and were awestruck by the clean rows of vines. KAYA was a good destination and rest stop.

Yelp
Had a disappointing visit to Kaya today. Have been serveral times and enjoyed it. They now do not let you choose your wines from the list for tasting, but have a set list. We were disappointed with all we tasted. We usually choose a glass on wine we enjoyed. This time we did not and did not buy any bottles. Then a young couple I was talking to were going to visit another winery and wanted recommendations. I gave the names of some in the same area. I mentioned Three Sisters. The woman working in the gift shop said that Three Sisters was no good. I couldn't believe she said that. We actuallly went there after we left Kaya ,tasted several good wines, people were a lot friendlier than Kaya. We bought 2 bottles to enjoy at home. Will probably never go to Kaya again although I use to recommend them.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful tasting room. I enjoy white wines while my husband enjoys red. We had a wonderful sandwich and enjoyed the amazing views! The staff was friendly and made a few recommendations (& a small sample) as I was unsure what to order.

Yelp
We arrived midday on a Saturday. There was a pretty large crowd there, including a tour group that arrived via charter bus. That being said, the parking lot was crowded and we were very fortunate to find a close space. You're greeted by a beautiful view as soon as you step up onto the patio. Additionally, on this day, a band was playing and that added to the great atmosphere. We headed to the bar and were greeted by friendly staff. Every staff member we ran into was great. We had a tasting and ordered a turkey sandwich. The sandwich was delicious, much better than initially expected. The overall experience, view and vibe were 5 star. However we weren't fans of the wine. We didn't find any that we were really a fan of or would want to try again. But we would come back for the music, view and turkey sandwich!

Yelp
What an absolute pleasure to visit Kaya!!!! Beyond impressed with the staff! Southern hospitality at its BEST! If I could have given more stars I would ! Thank you so much

Yelp
Kaya vineyards and winery will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart! As this is the place my boyfriend (now fiancé) proposed. The day here was something out of a dream! Staff were so kind (even before the question was popped) and you can have more than just wine. By that I mean is that my fiancé was drinking the local beer, a sour they had as an option. There was so many places for picture opportunities and as you can see down below! The perfect place to propose. Everyone there follows COVID guidelines! I will be back once again to try more of the wine. Although we did end up buying 7 bottles to bring home (ooops). I also want to give a special shout-out to Tray who worked with us for the winemaking special. He was so knowledgeable and an awesome person who made the day even better! If that could even be possible. We were a group of 4 and it was just us who got to make the wine. We saved the bottle and wrote the day we got engaged. We also got a little tour of how things were made and where they store the wine! This place is dream worthy, beautiful and now holds my favorite memory.

Yelp
This winery is AMAZING. When entering they meet you at the door with compliments and greeting - believable to be true. Every one is extremely polite and there is no force to buy a bottle. The food is a little high but definitely well worth it after a long drive. I had the turkey pesto panini - DELICIOUS. I ended up joining the wine club while touring. Michelle was exceptional. She treated us like members although we were not. We tasted any wine we desired. I appreciated her friendliness and non pressure to buy. She also informed us of the cottages for rent. Overall fantastic I place. Fantastic views. Definitely will suck for weekend baecation or girl's trip.

Yelp
On a day with good weather, there aren't many better places to be (especially during COVID). Wines are good for GA vineyard standards, but the view and amount of space is amazing - probably the best of the handful of Dahlonega vineyards we've been to. They have a tent set up outside, or chairs / picnic tables throughout their expansive field - you can easily be very socially distanced. You can pack a picnic and set it up anywhere in the vineyard, with a nice view of mountains all around. We stopped on the way back from a hike at Blood Mountain and enjoyed the live music with our dog in tow.

Yelp
This was such a nice getaway. My wife wanted to go for her birthday, so we took advantage of their weekday special: wine tasting for 4, lunch for 4, wine. It was great! The grounds were nice. We hiked. Drank and ate. The home was spectacular. Only 90 mins north of Atlanta. We truly enjoyed ourself

Yelp
Okay but have you ever blended and corked your own bottle of wine?? At Kaya Vineyards you can do just that! Their Bordeaux Blending Experience allows you to tour the winery and barrel rooms while learning about their wine making process. After your tour, you get to sit down and taste a selection of delicious red wines while getting a breakdown of the flavor profiles of each and the type of wood barrels they were fermented in. Then you get to take those wine and blend them together to create your own bottle of wine to take home!! I love how personalized the experience is, and it was so fun to do with a group of people. You can also go and just grab a couple of glasses of wine in their tasting room and sit out on their nice deck and patio, you'll get the best views!!!

Yelp
Need a covid friendly social distanced family gathering spot with lots of wine. This is the perfect place for family with dogs, kids, adults and space. Tasting for 5 wines is $25 and they have a punch card to pick up your new wine. We had a family of 8 so we opted for the buy 3 bottles and get one free option which was perfect for what we needed. My daughter loved the openess of the vineyard and ran her little heart out while we ate and drank with all our cousin. Highly recommend this place. There is a full restaurant you can also order and eat inside their tent or patio space.

Yelp
Overall, a good experience. The setting is picturesque, with views of the vineyard and the surrounding mountains. My only complaint is they need more help at the bar. There were three 'stations' but very slow and lots of people lined up in a small crowded space during a pandemic, left me feeling a bit uncomfortably close to my fellow Georgians. Aside from the wait, once we had wine in hand and were able to relocate outside, things looked up. The wine was good - especially enjoyed the 2016 merlot. The panini sandwich I ordered was fantastic! We also had a bottle of white wine (Grace) and it was good too. Overall, good experience. Just hope they'll hire more help to be more efficient.

Yelp
Came for my 30th birthday, amazing experience and service. Would so recommend for a weekend getaway.

Stacey M.

Yelp
Tom went above and beyond to provide a curated experience just for our group. The hospitality was unmatched. We left much more knowledgeable about the wine making process than when we arrived and made sure to purchase a few bottles to share with friends and family back home. Sitting outside on the porch with beautiful views and a fantastic live band made for a perfect afternoon. Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
May 2022* S U M M A R Y One of my favorite wineries I've visited so far in north GA. This was stop #1 on our first self-guided wine tour of North GA. T A S T E This place makes wine tasting simple and I love them for that! You get to choose five wines from their entire list of wines. They give you a tray and all five wines at the same time. So you can go and find a seat wherever you want on their property and sit back relax and truly enjoy the wine in your own way, at your own pace and in whatever order you want, without having to constantly get up and go back into the room where they pour the wine for you. This also makes it easier if you're eating something like a charcuterie board. I can't remember the names of any of the wines but I remembered that they all tasted really good and I felt like it had a good amount of alcohol in it because I was a little buzzed as I was leaving. I stuck the the dry reds and whites and one rosé. S E R V I C E Very friendly and welcoming. Upon entering the servers behind the bar explained how it worked. You pay, choose your wine, get your wine then grab a seat inside or outside. A M B I E N C E Of course on such a beautiful spring day we chose to sit outside. We sat to the right of the establishment where you can see rolling hills and lots of greenery. There was also someone playing the guitar and singing and I could've stayed there all day. Thinking back to it I probably should have because this was my favorite stop of the day. P R I C E 25$ for 5 1.5oz. pours R A T I N G 1 star off because the unpaved lot and weird hill made parking tough. And you had to reserve a tour to go through their vineyard.

Yelp
This is a beautiful property that has a warm and welcoming environment. The owners did a wonderful job with creating such a relaxing atmosphere. It was such a peaceful experience. The staff is very friendly and the gift shop is so cute! I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends and family! I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We planned a girls getaway to celebrate my mom's 75th birthday at the Kaya Cottages. Upon arrival, we hurried over to the winery and did a wine tasting (checkin was 4pm and winery closed at 5pm on Fridays). After returning to the cottage, we noticed there was only decaf coffee and called the number that was given to "make my stay above all standards". I was told "I am the only one here, you will need to drive 3 mins down the road and pick it up". After, the wine tasting, we decided that was against better judgement and went without coffee the following am. (Never offered to bring some later or in the am). The following day, after receiving a text asking if the stay was exceeding my standards, I explained the toilet was clogged. I was then told they will bring me a plunger. Then received a subsequent text that there is probably one under a counter or in the laundry room. After exploring the area during the day and returning to celebrate we discovered the Wi-Fi was out. This was particularly upsetting because we had a music playlist and video planned for my mom's bday. It was never restored during our stay. Other things, the water pressure is pitiful. Like, unable to rinse soap out of hair pitiful. The first night, I was sure it was because more than one shower was running but by night 2 we discovered that wasn't the case at all! No hand soap in any of the bathrooms. Kitchen was very sparse. I was asked if to reach out to the hospitality staff if I couldn't leave a 5 star review (which I did) and received a response days later from a housekeeper that said they would pass on my complaints. I never heard back.

Yelp
Kaya was one of the first vineyards I visited in Georgia and it did not disappoint! Before visiting we registered for both the Bordeaux mixing class and the truck ride through the vineyard. When we arrived it was around 1pm just in time for our class, we were greeted by our teacher and lead outside for a brief history of the vineyards. We were then lead downstairs to area that held the wine barrels and an area that seemed to serve multiple purposes including the managers office. We were surprised to see that they had set up a table downstairs for our class. Our teacher was very knowledgeable and we vibed nicely. The class was overall a hit and I would definitely suggest this activity to friends. We placed our food order with our teacher and made our way to the tented area outdoors. We were way more comfortable sitting outside as it was beginning to get crowded. The food was delicious...I ordered the sliced beef sandwich and my friend ordered the italian sandwich. There was also live music!!! We ended our visit with the truck ride which was exciting to say the least..lol maybe a little toooo exciting. We did get stuck TWICE on a hill but the view at the top made it so worth it! Overall I had an amazing time and I'd love to visit again.

Yelp
We had a wonderful day at Kaya Vineyard. Good food, great wine, perfect weather, awesome music courtesy of The Lattas, and friendly and welcoming service. Definitely a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The only downside was when it got super busy, there were only 2 bathrooms for a ton of people. Just don't make sure to wait until the last minute! A fabulous day and we will be back.

Yelp
The staff isn't friendly and their wine is subpar. There are several other vineyards in the area willing to treat you right land serve good wine. Try 3 Sisters or Frogtown.

Yelp
Very nice winery with a beautiful view! My husband and I just happened to see it from an intersection as we were taking a weekend drive and decided to stop in- great decision! The winery is in a very picturesque place with great Mountain View's and at this time of the year it has beautiful fall foliage. The vineyard is very nice and is well maintained. We went on a Sunday (today) and there was life music outside and just a nice relaxed vibe. We bought a bottle of the blush sweet wine for 19 dollars and just relaxed and enjoyed the views! Everyone was friendly and relaxed. As at most wineries- you can do a wine tasting or just buy a class of wine. He convinced us to buy a bottle which was a great deal because it was inexpensive. They also had food! We just had come to brunch so we didn't try anything but there was bean dip, cheese and meat plates, charcuterie boards and sandwiches which is more than most small wineries offer! The wine was ok and I heard from other patrons it didn't have the most bold and flavorful wines as most of the other local north ga wineries this the four stars. But definitely a great stop on our Sunday afternoon!
