"Miami’s newest hotels fit right into the city’s rapidly emerging identity as a technology hub for crypto companies and Silicon Valley transplants. The property was designed by Life House Hotels and is run by Kayak, with a focus on technology-driven guest experiences without losing a personal touch. The hotel offers understated entrances, communal spaces, self-check-in with assistance available, rooms with a tropical bohemia style, and amenities like Le Labo toiletries and Revival New York linens. The Layla restaurant and bar offers Middle Eastern food and a rooftop space with a pool." - Juliana Shallcross

Wow so let me just say this place is breathtakingly beautiful! The pictures don’t do it any justice and it smells amazing! The service I received from Andres was exceptional!! He made me feel very welcomed and at home as soon as I walked in. Booking and checking in was very easy and convenient and Andres was extremely helpful in helping me decide what kind of room to choose for my stay. He made my stay in Miami a very memorable one and Kayak Hotel has definitely earned my repeated service as long as employees like him are the standard every time I will be back again and again.

We recently stayed here on our vacation. The staff is amazing. Danny the manager was terrific as well as all the other staff. They really make you feel at home and take care of their guests. The hotel is just a block from the beach and has great restaurants and night life all within walking distance. We stayed in a suite which was perfect as we had our 2 kids with us. It had plenty of room for us and the kids. Definitely recommend Kayak if you staying in Miami Beach!

I stayed here with a friend in January 2024. It was a great location close to everything beach, restaurants but also quiet. The back patio was a little gem to sit out at night, rooms were clean. Andre’s the night manager was so hospitable, and knowledgeable. He was always there to greet us with a warm smile and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. It’s been awhile since experiencing that degree of excellence in customer service. I will definitely be back!

Stayed over new year and was really impressed by the hotel! I was a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews but we only had a great time. Rooms really well sized and lovely bathrooms with Le Labo toiletries. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Great location close to the beach and perfect for exploring south beach. The rooftop was nice to sit on in the morning too with a small pool and towels.

We checked in today for a 1-night stay and already feel like I want to leave a 5-star review. Jason at the front desk is great, very helpful and gave us recommendations of spots to try. The room, 223, is excellent, good size for a couple and in a corner with nice canal view. The 4-ft deep pool, yeah, is not an actual pool, more like a jacuzzi but it was all we needed to relax and enjoy the afternoon. The decor of the hotel is very welcoming and feels like a tropical paradise. The restaurant is indeed closed, but we ordered from Tacombi and in less than 20 minutes we had our food. Definitely recommend this hotel and the location is excellent!

Great decoration and excellent staff. Complimentary bikes. There is a pool but it’s 4 feet and very small . Unfortunately the room was not clean thoroughly . Lots of dust at the floor and the rug definitely needed to be vacuumed . Good location . No parking included . Restaurant was unoccupied and the tables were dirty in the patio . The first room we were given there was no window, so as soon as we walked in it smelled really bad . Thankfully the staff switched us to another room with window.

Great hotel with nice ambience. The vibe and smell throughout the hotel is very soothing and contemporary. It is walkable distance from south beach, Collins Park and many other attractions around. The hotel locality is also apt and safe for anyone wanting to explore the city. The Big Bus stops are also at a 5 min walking distance. Overall highly recommended and advised.

Staff is invested in making sure you have the best experience. Andres checked me in and also was very attentive with what I needed for my room and while having a drink at the bar. Service was 100% for a short trip that I really needed to feel relaxed and pampered.

Yelp
We spent 3 nights/4 day at Kayak Miami Beach last week/end. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! I was pleasantly surprised we were able to check in early (~10am) after our flight, our room was very aesthetically pleasing and very spacious for 2 people. The bed was incredibly comfortable, although the couch was not and had multiple stains on the cushion which was a little off putting. The TV had seemingly both cable and AppleTV although we couldn't get it to work very well, and there was no way to adjust the volume settings. The room comes with Le Labo toiletries which is a very nice touch and was well enjoyed! We were in a contemporary suite on the 3rd floor, very close to the pool, which I would request again. The pool, although smaller than I anticipated was well maintained and had a lot of comfy seating and it wasn't busy (my husband and I were the only people there for a lot of the time). My only complaint was that there were frequently no pool towels, and even after making 3 requests over the course of a full day none were ever restocked. Sadly, the restaurant was closed so we weren't able to experience it. Hopefully next time we will be able to check it out as the photos online looked quite nice! The hotel is nearby to plenty of shops and other restaurants and obviously the beach!

Yelp
I was in love from entering the lobby! It is a boutique hotel which I have found is amongst my favorite type! When you enter you are greeted with beautiful plants and an orange bicycle, a business area to the left, the front desk to the right, and directly in the center a full bar. The check in was easy and efficient (which I love btw); the room was small and clean but had a great use of the space. The room had a desk in the corner a mini fridge with snacks and alcohol available for purchase. There was a closet that included the most comfortable robes! The bed was heavenly I literally spent an entire day laying in the Bed watching the tv. Ahh the room included Apple TV which I loved but most of all I loved the automation of being able to request services (towels, bedding, services etc) directly from the tv. A hidden gem is the rooftop lounging area and pool .. tip make your way to the 3rd floor it's worth it! Another thing I loved was how close the hotel was from the beach it was maybe a nice 10 min walk. It was Also close to everything drug stores, food, bar, and the art district. I had a wonderful stay I literally can't wait to return !

Yelp
We were looking for a reasonable, clean hotel for one night in Miami Beach. We stumbled on the Kayak Hotel on Expedia and decided to book it. When we arrived we were confused where to park. After a quick trip in the lobby we were told there was a public parking garage right across the street for $20 a day. Score, that's a bargain in Miami. The lobby is adorable. Check in was easy. The front desk employees walked us through the process because it is self check in (hint - type in your name exactly as it appears on your reservation). Minutes later we had our keys and we're on our way to our room. From what I could see the first floor is lobby, coffee bar, regular bar and seating. Second floor are the hotel rooms and third floor is the pool with quaint seating and gathering spots. When I say pool, think of a larger hot tub sized pool. You definitely aren't doing laps but it was nice and very tropical. Our room was small but had everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. We turned the air way down because the public areas of the hotel were warm. The room had a safe and room to hang up your clothes, limited drawer space and a desk. The bathroom was larger with a large rain head shower. There were a few things that I would recommend when it comes to the details. They gave us 2 towels, 2 hand towels but 1 face cloth. They don't provide a bar of soap but they do have hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. I am a bar of soap girl but I made due. However the shampoo, shower gel and conditioner mounted in the wall would spin when you pressed down on the ones of the end (think hands of a clock). The shower floor was pretty slippery and they don't have a shower mat so you have to be very careful. I didn't see a clock in the room but we had our phones so we were fine. Interestingly we could not figure how to turn one of the lights off so we had to unscrew the bulb to turn it off. I thought it was just me but it was hard wired into the ceiling and there was no switch in the room that me or my husband could find to turn it off. We were also confused with the 2 TV remotes. It took us a while to figure it out and we never really did but we weren't in the room long enough for it to be an issue. One thing that did concern me is when we got back to the hotel around 11 from a night out, the front door was unlocked but no one was in the lobby. You don't need a key to use the elevators so anyone could have come in and roamed around the hotel. I think if the people working have to leave they lobby, they have a key lock outside so only guests can enter and an intercom for guests checking in to ring the employees or the elevators should be equipped with key access for security and safety. Overall I would stay there again. It was clean, comfortable, perfectly located for our purposes and reasonably priced. As a side note all the employees were so nice. Great job of hiring and training. They were welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
Their elevators are out of order and they charge 10.00 for water!! From the moment we checked in on Friday December 31st, 2021 we were informed that the elevators in the building were out of order. And as I write this review, (Tuesday Jan. 4, 2022), the elevator is still out of order. This seems like a long term permanent problem. We were left with the option to take the stairs to the third floor. I feel bad for the pregnant women and old women I saw walking up and down the stairs. Unfortunately, the bedroom, living room, bathroom did not have any storage space/ drawers. We requested a luggage rack but was informed they only had 2 luggage racks and both were being used by other guests at the hotel. How do you only have 2 luggage racks available at the hotel?! We had to put our luggage on the seats. To our surprise, there was a cockroach crawling on the bedroom floor. There was no toilet paper......TOILET PAPER! Like, wtf?! We had to ask for them to deliver toilet paper to the room. The body wash was low upon our arrival and had to be refilled. Smh. Also, we asked for toothpaste and was told they had did not have any available. This is table stakes for a hotel to be accommodating guests. The most expensive thing on their mini bar is water. It's a long term problem to have cockroaches in your hotel room and charge 10.00 for water. The alcohol at the mini bar costs less than water. The AC in our room was out of order and we had to request for a maintenance order.

Yelp
Keys never worked, lobby smelled terrible, the quadruple boho was incredibly small and the restaurant closed. Stay somewhere else not worth the money.

Yelp
Hotel staff is super friendly. I like how you can text them instead of calling for room service for anything you might need during your stay. They respond very quickly. They have the cutest patio upstairs. It's very nice. The beds here are super, super soft. It's not the most comfortable but I was able to sleep okay. The restaurant downstairs is AMAZING! Layla has the best Mediterranean food ever. I still crave their hummus and fatoush salad. Can't wait to go back to visit Miami.

Yelp
Price is all over the map on the daily rate here like many other Miami Beach hotels so your idea of value may depend on what you pay. But the whole hotel was super clean, staff friendly and helpful. The whole operation is high tech from checkin to key replacement. Not keen that they scan IDs. Attached restaurant Lavla was good and a beautiful environment . Tiny rooftop pool the size of a hot tub but was scenic and just right. Room small but had everything. Recommended if get a decent price !

Yelp
2nd stay this past weekend and it was great. Staff is friendly and check in was super easy. I especially love the Le Labo bath amenities. Check one of their bikes out and go for a ride on the boardwalk. Very close / walkable to many upscale restaurants, bars, clubs.

Yelp
Tried calling the hotel to speak to someone before the visit and it was a disaster. Nobody ever answered and when I got to the hotel, it was like nobody knew anything. It was "self-checkin" but still we required assistance as they needed to issue us room keys. The flooring was dirty, especially by the 3rd floor pool area. Looked gross and they had mats on the ground to try and cover it up, but the mats the were also very dirty and grimy/beat up. Room was mehhh at best. Definitely not like the pictures online. Fire alarm went off 3 times in the morning and we had to rush out the door, to get to the front of the hotel all 3 times, fearing for our lives. We never know what's going on, so you could imagine it was very scary for us, especially to try and not panic while sleeping and hearing this blaring fire alarm sounding 3 separate times. Scared of this place and what happened and was not very happy about any of this. Not like the hotel even takes the time to check on any guests, so above is your feedback. They also charged me for food we never ate. Clearly they are only for-profit. Wish I would've seen these reviews before I booked. #neveragain #dontwasteyourhardearnedmoney

Yelp
It's so cute and the hotel staff is so friendly. Everything is digitally enabled - check-in and check-out. You can text the front desk before and after you get there with your questions. They even let us check in 4 hours early. There's a perfect little area for work if you need to get stuff done during the day. Would def stay again.

Yelp
Omg, Andres was the best, so friendly needs a promotion put money in his pocket. Please forget about the other employees.

Yelp
Overall this hotel accomplished what it said it would. It was only 5 minutes away (walking) from several restaurants and a strip mall. It was even closer to the beach. I would say that some of the rooms are quite small and lack a functioning window. This hotel is away from heavy foot traffic and in a peaceful area.

Yelp
I would stay here again. Right above the Layla restaurant. A few blocks walk from the beach. The location is perfect for me (not too close from all the spring breakers but pretty central to the things I wanted to see and where I wanted to go). No free coffee in room which would have been nice but I get it-- there's a restaurant downstairs!Large bed (for the king room). I probably would have liked a sheet that explained where everything was (pool and sun chairs on roof) but overall a good stay and I would come back again!

Yelp
My new favorite hotel in Miami Beach! I was very curious to check out Kayak's first ever hotel as I religiously use their website to find the best flight/hotel deals and I was not disappointed! This hotel is like an oasis in busy Miami Beach! Love the Boho style interior design, the rooms are spacious, the bed is super comfy and I loved the little details like yoga mats, domino and apple TV! my room was on 3rd floor where you can enjoy the rooftop and the pool. Also, make sure to check out Layla restaurants by the lobby, the food and the atmosphere are not to miss! Look no further, you'll love this hotel!

Anna R.

Yelp
While it's a nice née property in terms of decor and friendly staff it should be a club and not a hotel. The overall sheer volume at night is beyond - feels like you're sleeping in a night club. Sooo if that's what you're looking for this is your place. Otherwise if you want to sleep I'd look elsewhere.

Yelp
Words fail me to describe how AWFUL this place is. My room overlooks a fenced in vacant lot with a pile of discarded furniture and other trash in it. The room smells like a combination of a locker room and skunk weed. Further, half the lights and the tv were inoperable for the first 4 days I was here and took 5 requests to get fixed. The front desk is only sometimes manned. I arrived at midday and had to use a self serve kiosk to check myself in!!! Even though I hung the placard requesting housekeeping each day that didn't happen for 4 days either. YUP. no clean towels, etc. When I finally managed to find a staff member I was told that unless I was able to find someone and ask for housekeeping prior to 1 PM each day the door placard would be disregarded and no fresh linens etc. would be provided! All this for the princely sum of $2,000. for a weeks stay. By far the worst accommodations I've experienced in over 40 years of travel.

Yelp
I got In Town Tuesday Morning At 6:30am I Called The Room To See If I Can Check in Early She Agreed But Still DIDNT Have a Room Available Until 3pm Then When We Got A Room The Air Conditioning DIDNT Work Which Caused Us To Have To Change Rooms My Flight Leave Friday Night At 7 An They WOULDNT Even Let Me Get A Late Check Out After All The Money I Spent With This Hotel I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS

Yelp
Really cute boutique hotel in a quiet area of South Beach. We found the whole aesthetic of the hotel so relaxing and the rooms had really nice little touches that were unexpected like the le labo bath products and the comfy robes. The staff was all super nice and the food is great. The pool area is small but there weren't many people around besides us so it wasn't a problem. We'll definitely be back up stay again.
