Amazing Mini Boat Tour – Highly Recommend!!! This was our second time taking this mini boat tour because the experience is just that good! We wanted to bring our son along this time, and it did not disappoint. Jose, Luis, and Noel were absolutely fantastic—they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The snorkeling stop was a highlight; while I didn’t snorkel myself, my son did and had an absolute blast! We also spent time at Cayo Icacos, which was beautiful and so relaxing. The crew was professional, friendly, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for a fun and memorable adventure, we highly recommend this tour!

This was such a great experience! Adriana and Gina were really fantastic and made the whole day really fun and carefree. They were great during snorkeling, making sure to tell us about the animals we were seeing and gave great advice on which restaurants and shops to visit. I would really recommend this trip to anyone.

We had the best time on the Kayakying Puerto Rico Mini Boat Tour! The marina was easy to find, parking was just a short walk & FREE, the check-in tent was easy to find, & amenities were plentiful. We were fitted for flippers & lifevests, met our guides (Jose & Luis where were AWESOME), had a tutorial on where we were going, what we would see, & how to drive the boat. Next, we got on the water & had a blast! The water was a little choppy - it was a windy day & you're in the ocean - but it was an awesome ride & we loved it. I laughed & smiled the entire time! Once we got to the reef, we snorkeled for an hour & saw so many different fish, corals, & other sea creatures. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! Our next stop was Icacos Island where we were anchored at the beach for an hour. We snorkeled around the old piers and enjoyed the crystal clear water plus some snacks. Then we "surfed" back to the marina, riding with the waves instead of against. Overall, this was an AWESOME day & our guides - Jose & Luis - made it wonderful! We 100% recommend! A few notes: - Take a change of clothes, there are nice showers/changing rooms at the marina. - Don't take your towel on the mini boat, there's no need for it; maybe just a handtowel in your bag. - There were plenty of granola bars, juice pouches, & a water canister in our personal cooler on the miniboat. Just take a refillable water bottle.

This was an absolutely amazing experience! We absolutely loved our instructors, Jose and Nani. They were so friendly, talkative, and welcoming! It was really exciting to try driving a mini boat ourselves! We had a stop for snorkeling, where we saw various fish and coral, and the instructors also shared interesting facts about the marine life. Then, we stopped at a small island with a beautiful beach—perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, or exploring. You could also jump off the pier or go snorkeling again. These 3.5 hours were truly one of the highlights of our trip! I highly recommend this experience. Plus, they took photos of us, and it was included in the price, which was a really nice touch!

Google
Great tour. The guides were very friendly and helpful. There were even a few people in the group who weren't the best swimmers but they were able to join in the fun. We saw plenty of fish, turtles, and sting rays. The beach was beautiful.

Google
Amazing guide, but the company should’ve rescheduled the tour We booked a snorkeling tour, but unfortunately the water was extremely choppy that day. The small boat used couldn’t handle the rough conditions well—we were bouncing hard the entire ride, and it actually hurt my back (until the next day). I really believe the company should have rescheduled the trip rather than going out in weather like that. It wasn’t safe or comfortable, and it impacted the whole experience. That said, our tour guide Kevin was truly the highlight. He was kind, professional, and we the made the decision to turn back once we got deeper, against the wind the waves got rougher and higher. Instead of ending the trip early, he took us to a small, peaceful island where we were still able to enjoy the water. He kept the vibe light, and made sure we had a good time regardless of the change in plans. Although we didn’t get the full snorkeling experience or see any reefs, we did get to see small fish and seaweed in calmer waters—and we appreciated that Kevin still made the most of it for us. He turned what could’ve been a disappointing day into something fun and memorable.

So much more than your average excursion! Marta was so knowledgeable about the underwater world! She shows her true love of nature in every detail! She explains how valuable our coral reefs are to our oceans and how we depend upon them for our oceans survival. And she was a lot of fun! Nora was very informative of the island and was very knowledgeable of the snorkeling and even dived to let us get a great hands on experience with a giant starfish that was puffy not flat! She was a lot of fun as well! Louis was very supportive and was really kind and helpful as well ! The bus driver was very reliable and friendly too! All and all it was worth every bit of money and more ! I truly relaxed ,felt safe and was very happy with my experience with Kayak tours! Highly recommend! Omgosh Flamingo Beach was heavenly! Kiosk folks were great! Ice cream stall was amazing and best frappes ever! I traveled alone and felt totally comfortable! Thank you Marta and team your the best!

Our mini boat tour was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. Kevin, Luis, and Jose were super helpful, friendly, and kind—they went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. They explained everything to us clearly, answered all our questions, and made the trip even more enjoyable with their great energy. The snorkeling was next level—so much breathtaking nature and marine life! The boat ride itself was stunning, with gorgeous views the entire way. And the beach we visited? INSANE! Crystal-clear water, soft sand, and pure paradise. If you’re visiting, this is a must-do experience—hands down the best tour we did! Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
We booked these guys for a snorkel trip and had a good time. We booked about 2 weeks out and online it said there were only 3 spots, but I called and was able to get 4 of us in. the boat left early in the morning, but there was no stress. You arrive a check in at a roadside building, where you can use the restroom before going out to the dock and pier, which is just a short drive away. You follow the guide's car in your car to the parking lot and it was no problem. From there, we got on the boat, which was two decks and fairly spacious. We set out on a 45 minute ride to a beach that was deserted and gorgeous. We swam and did some snorkeling there for about an hour before moving to a different spot just down the way for some real snorkeling. The marine life was much more abundant here and we saw sting rays, turtles, and a bevy of fish. On the way back, we got a wrap that we had pre-selected back at check-in and unlimited drinks, both alcoholic and non.

Yelp
We did the bioluminescent bay kayaking tour with this company and had a wonderful experience. Every member of the staff was professional, engaging, helpful, and knowledgeable. A full moon meant we couldn't see the bioluminescence while paddling, but the staff had a thick tarp they stretched over several kayaks at a time so we could experience it, and it was magical! On our way back, another group was colliding with our boats, creating a traffic jam. Two of our guides instantly jumped into the water and safely straightened us all out so we could easily continue on our way. Once we returned, a guide let my kids hold a jellyfish (without stinging tentacles), which was such a fun way to end our tour. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.

Jessica F.

Yelp
We loved kayaking through the mangroves! The night was bright so we had to use a tarp over our heads to be able to see the bioluminescence but the guides made it fun. Appreciated Amaury, Javier, Yadiel, Adrian and Catalina!

Andrea R.

Yelp
Loved our trip as a family. Got my ol 75 yo dad out kayaking and saw the bioluminecent bay. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful. There were many awful kayakers on our trip and the guides took patient time to help them. They brought a tarp to make our viewing more dark on a full moon night, which was super cool. Javier, Catalina, Enrique, Madiel, and Amania were excellent guides.

Rhonda B.

Yelp
This is the 3rd time I've done this excursion to Vieques and it's been amazing every time. The crew are amazing they go in the water while you snorkel and point out things to you .Saw sting rays and turtles and tons of fish . Definitely recommend this excursion if visiting you won't be disappointed . Absolutely looking forward to coming back again

Joseph O.

Yelp
Only drawback was a full moon. Staff was great would definitely use them again. Stars alone were worth the trip.

Yih R.

Yelp
I almost hesitated to give this only three stars but here's why... If you are looking for a relaxing kayaking activity with star gazing, this is not it. It's quite physically and mentally engaging. Actually, very physically engaging. If you are sensitive when it comes to physical activity and working with a partner, there might be an element of embarrassment you feel. I say this because inevitably the boats bump into each other, you run into trees, the coaches are constantly telling you how to maneuver. It may not sound like much and maybe to most people it isn't but I noticed other groups and myself included, were getting tired and frustrated on the way back. It can be overwhelming. You'll be ready for a shower and rest when it's over. The good parts: seeing organisms light up at night in the water was really special. You get to splash around and put it on your legs and hands and feels magical. Our marine biologist who was explaining everything was a fantastic host. The other tour guides are great too. And seeing the stars and the sky is phenomenal. It is definitely an experience you won't forget.

Ruth W.

Yelp
I absolutely recommend everyone to book with them! They are supper welcoming and amazing tour guides! I went as a solo traveler and I felt supper comfortable! They were supper friendly and they provide food and drinks at the end of the tour! I will be going back to them again in the future.

Yelp
I used this company on my first bio bay excursion 8 years ago, and I'm pleased that the high quality has been maintained. My parents are not strong kayakers, and was falling behind the group. Natalia actually guided them the entire way through the mangroves, even giving them left right stroke indications in Chinese to help them understand and stay coordinated. Meanwhile, my partner and I who are also not strong kayakers were helped by Javier, who was calm when we were hitting into the trees a few times. He was funny and informative about kayaking guidance, talking about the constellations, and telling us we could stand up if we do fall over in the kayak. The bioluminescence was great since it was just a few days after new moon. I would say overall this was a great experience, initially we were a little anxious because of how dark it was but the guides helped us feel assured. Highly recommend!

Kylie M.

Yelp
The experience was amazing! The trip itself wasn't strenuous at all, and I don't work out. The guides--Manolo, Yadiel, Amaury, Enrique, Natalia-- were very good at getting the group there and balancing letting us explore with telling us about the biobay. The bay itself was breathtaking and very worth it, I highly recommend taking this tour.

Yelp
We had an amazing time with Pure Adventure on our trip to Culebra. The weather was absolutely perfect. The ride smooth and they had great music on. We visited Flamenco beach and wow it is sooooooo beautiful. I liked the fact that we were there super early before the crowds got there. After the beach we were served lunch. Took off and stopped at Tamarindo beach for snorkeling. Even though I didn't participate in that activity, my daughter did and she had an absolute blast. It was her first time and she saw lots of turtles, stingray and other fishes. When that was done, we were offered to jump off the boat into the ocean and that was fun. Beers and alcoholic drinks followed on our way back to PR. What an awesome experience. Will definitely do it again with this company. Captain and crew were really good with everyone. I recommend this company.

Princy S.

Yelp
Loved this company! So easy to book and very clear directions. We did the bioluminescent bay kayak at 6pm. Received a text the morning off with a nice reminder and instructions. The main host was super sweet and kind (forgot her name). The four guides were amazing, patient and hilarious. They made it fun for sure. I am pretty sure one of them was a marine biologist so the knowledge imparted was pretty sweet. And the trip ended with some water and snack. There are some nice restaurants right next to it to chill at before leaving. Overall, a relaxing experience.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This is my fourth time ever kayaking and I was nervous! It was easy. Sure, we bumped into trees and it was hard work coming back, but it wasn't hard like open ocean kayaking. It's so beautiful, hearing the night noises and seeing the stars and planets. The bioluminescent part was fun but not the best part of the experience for me. Peacefully floating on the lagoon, having the guide point out the stars, and gliding through the mangroves was fantastic. We went with a full moon so it was hard to see the lagoon, had to duck under a tarp. That's life. Nature is what it is! One of the guides is quite smarty pants and brusque, but I saw it as "young man in his 20's being a know it all and in charge" and ignored it. The other guides were pleasant, cheerful, encouraging and helpful. The young woman at check in is delightful. There is a public bathroom at the check in. They do provide bug spray, please stand away from the group when using it. Would definitely recommend this group!

Yelp
My wife and I took this tour a couple weeks ago. Lots of great information made this an interactive tour. All of the guides were great but Natalia went above and beyond. My wife and I were both worn out from a cold and Natalia could see we were struggling. She was very kind to us and even towed us the last part of the trip. Enrique, Catalina and Amaran (I know I misspelled that last one) were helpful and informative and educational and were great too. A great time and something you must see! Ironically, I just looked over at another review as I was writing this and I see Natalia's name mentioned again in another review for the kindness she showed some other guests that were struggling. So Pure Adventure, you would be foolish not to give her a raise. You simply cannot buy that kind of kindness. Great tour! Lots of educational information outside of the bioluminescence and so much more. All the guides were great but Natalia is special. Pure Adventure is not going to like me saying this part but it is what it is. They advertise a 220 pound weight limit. In fact it is 240 pounds. I arrived in PR at 223 so I was sweating it. I understand giving false information so that there is a 20 pounds of "grace" weight. Personally, I would rather know the actual hard limit. I wouldn't have been stressing and dieting in Puerto Rico over it. Again, I see both sides. I just prefer accurate information. If you weigh 241, you are not getting on the kayak, but enjoy all that good food if you are safely under 240.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Enrique was an excellent tour guide, he even sang! All 4 guides were very informative, the constellation guide was awesome, holding a jellyfish, the bio bay even using a tarp to see it better. The whole experience was excellent

Dale S.

Yelp
My family (self, wife, 2 young adults) enjoyed this trip. The guide who greeted the customers was fluent in English (85% of the passengers). We were told to checkin 45 min before departure. This left about 30 extra minutes to wait..you could cut it closer but at risk of missing the boat...literally, it departs on time. The crew put three swimmers in the water with rescue tubes...just in case. I felt that provided a good safety margin (I have worked on waterfronts). The guides were effective in locating underwater life of interest (turtles and rays). Met expectations in this regard. The boat trip took about 30 minutes both directions. It was enjoyable. Good lunch provided. Drinks offered on the way back. Very friendly crew. Our main guide has a degree in marine biology. Lots of supplementary and very interesting knowledge shared. Crew boat handling skills were proficient.

Leah G.

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Pure Adventure! The crew were very professional as well as extremely kind and helpful. The boat was comfortable and well maintain. The marine biologist on board did a excellent job identifying the many different sea creatures we saw while snorkeling. I appreciated the crews attention to keeping the environment clean in the water and on the boat. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, I highly recommend Pure Adventure!

Yelp
A group of 14 of us, ages ranging from 14 to 50+, did the Bio Bay tour at 8:30p in the evening. Only 3 in our group has ever kayaked before. The tour guides, Sandra, Natalia, Javier, David and Catalina did a great job running the tour. Javier did a quick, but thorough job in explaining the Kayaking basics. First time kayaking is challenging enough, but doing it at night is even more tricky, so pay attention to Javier! They use 2 person kayaks and we paired ourselves up. Not sure if you can go solo on this tour. They supply you with life vests and recommend you don't bring anything with you. You walk into the water and jump into the kayak, rear first, so prepared to get wet, at least to waist level. They do a decent job guiding you through the 3 mile round trip route. Its pretty challenging, especially at night, with 2 dozen other beginner kayakers out in the water with you. You go out about 1.5 miles to the Bio Bay, where the water is VERY calm. The trip out to the bay runs through some VERY dark, almost pitch black, sections of trees. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Haha. I was low key scared. "Scary movie" scared, not, "I'm going to die" scared. Natalia gave some great background on how Bioluminescence forms. I was really impressed with the talk she gave. Clear, concise, informative, funny! She was also the one who gave a brief astronomy lesson, which I found very cool too! Natalia helped us out a few times when we got stuck in the trees. We were lucky that she shadowed us the entire return route, keeping us out of trouble. We had such a great conversation with her on the way back. Although we had a great time, the 5 are really because of her! There a few things to keep in mind when doing the Bio Bay tour. First and foremost, APPLY BUG SPRAY! No joke! Almost everyone in our group got a mosquito bite. Second, be prepared to get WET. Going in and out of kayak will get you soaked. Third, make sure you've eaten something. It's a 3 mile, mildly strenuous tour. All in all, we had a great time with great set of guides.

Sandra B.

Yelp
I booked the full day snorkeling tour to Culebra Island. They boat was nice and we had a pretty full tour. The crew was super nice (shout out to Captains Luis and Juan, and Donovan and Freddy) and professional. The island was beautiful. I'd recommend it for sure for families, couples, groups and solo travelers. Also the package I got included lunch and drinks and there was plenty of both to go around so you got your money's worth.

Liz M.

Yelp
We booked a night kayaking tour in the bioluminescent bay for our stay through our hotel. Despite making the reservation three months in advance, somehow the group through which the Marriott books their excursions did not submit a reservation! Needless to say we were distraught when we arrived and realized us and our 2 kiddos may not be able to go.. Catalina worked endlessly to ensure we DID! I swear it was like she was doing it for her own family. She seemed concerned and genuinely sympathetic to our issue. Happy ending to the story! The team consisting of Natalia, Enrique, Javier, Amauny, and Catalina were outstanding! They were informative, patient, super helpful and above all kind :) Highly recommend this place and this adventure to all!! It was one of the coolest experiences ever! Thanks again team for making it happen for us and saving the day!!

Roger M.

Yelp
Loved everything about this experience with their team. From the start, they were easy ton communicate with through text messages. I appreciated they sent GPS coordinates through text using G Maps to find the meeting location easily. The tour starts with shallow waters so that people can get used to their gear, which is understandable when there are mix groups with experience. After that we go out further into the water where the depth is about 14 feet and more and that's where we seen the reefs with plenty of fish, even saw three puffer fish, one giant sea turtle and three sting rays. Our tour guide was great! He made sure we all knew how to respect sea turtles as well as reminded us that the softer we swim the more we won't scare the fish. Great experience and I would recommend to everyone! The one critic I would give would be that we could've swam longer but we bordered the boat to give people the chance to jump off the rooftop deck, would've loved to have used that time to further swim with the fish.

Caroline W.

Yelp
Great kayak tour! Our guides Manila, Amaury, Enrique, Natalia were lots of fun, informative and very patient! Bio au was beautiful, so was the amazing sunset..... I would not hesitate to recommend Pure Adventure!

Kathleen G.

Yelp
Went on the bioluminescent bay kayaking tour last night. Our guides were informative, personable and attentive. The experience is wonderful! You paddle about a mile through a channel among the mangroves to reach the lagoon. The bioluminescence essence starts in the channel and is intense in the lagoon. It is a magical experience. That said, it is very dark in the channel. Anyone bringing little kids might want to do a tour that starts before dark so they can get comfortable with the channel and are less likely to be spooked coming back through at the end of the tour. We went on an overcast night and the only lights were attached to the front and back of the kayaks. Note, you will get wet! We walked through knee-deep water to the kayaks, all of which were wet inside, and then you get wet from the kayak paddle. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Bioluminescent Bio Bay Kayaking Tour ---- This is by far the WORSE experience I had with an excursion company. My family (of 4) originally booked a bioluminescent bay kayaking tour through Trip Advisor. We reserved spots for the first group that was suppose to head out at 6 PM on a Friday night. There was also one at 8 PM, but that was too late for us. It took us about 1 hour to get to the designated meet up spot from Condado. When we arrive at Fajardo bay, there was a rainstorm. It wasn't drizzling, it was POURING. The rain was so loud that it was difficult to even hear and converse with one another in the car. Then there was thunder..... IT WAS TERRIFYING!!! We called the tour company immediately and asked if we can reschedule. However the lady on the phone was persistent on saying that they don't do cancellations or give out any refunds. And regardless of the weather, the tour will still continue. What kind of tour company would put their guests at risk like this? How do they expect you to navigate on a kayak through pouring rain and with thunder in the background? You can't even open your eyes because it was raining so hard. They need to at least make better accomodations to situations like this because it's a HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. We did not feel safe going out in the bay under these conditions. Especially since the tour is labeled as "beginner friendly" online too. It's a shame because we were really looking foward to this excursion because it was one of the most highly suggested things to do when visiting Puerto Rico.

Kim S.

Yelp
We had the best time on this trip! The Captain and crew were amazing, helpful and knowledgeable. We were able to swim freely closer to shore for a while and see a lot of fish and rays before moving out deeper where we saw lots of fish, rays and turtles. An unforgettable experience and highly recommend!! Jessica was very responsive and kept in communication to make sure we had all information we needed for our trip.

Nick N.

Yelp
Had a very pleasant trip. Wound up getting rescheduled due to few people signing up at the time we had but that was accomplished easily via text. Was nice to have someone guiding the snorkeling a bit (directing us over different habitat patches to see turtles, then fish).

Isabel P.

Yelp
Captivating views. Wonderful weather and great crew! I found this crew last minute! We were in for a treat, we boarded and we were told of what will happen the whole way during the trip our two stops and small meal. I don't wanna spill too much, but the views were spectacular the way the Caribbean Sea merges with the Atlantic Ocean looks beautiful. The crew jump on the water with us while snorkeling we were able to see 2 turtles and 2 sting rays.! Boy what a trip! Highly recommend this crew! One crew member guided us in the snorkel and the other stayed over the boat keeping and eye on everyone I felt safe. Thank you for this wonderful trip! Look forward to doing this again on my return to PR!

Natasha P.

Yelp
My husband and I did a 8pm tour with them to see the bioluminescence water. Really didn't know what to expect and we have never been kayaking. Great for beginners but requires lots of team work from your kayak partner, so choose wisely! It was pitch black and hard to see, banged into a lot of trees but the crew members definitely helped and didn't leave anyone behind. Will do it again for sure!

Michael D.

Yelp
Our group of four took a 1 pm snorkeling trip to Vieques (20 minute ride). One stop, we backed up to the beach, then lunch, then moved out a little deeper to snorkel. We had an excellent crew: Juan, Luis and Freddie. They're all very courteous, knowledgeable and run a tight ship. I've been on lots of dive boats in a wide variety of conditions and this one was immaculate, well-maintained. Lunch was excellent and the after-snorkel drinks were refreshing. Make sure you go to the right location. This one was in Roosevelt Roads former submarine base.

Sasha V.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying these people only care about money. I booked this tour for my fiancé and I. They texted me asking if I wanted transportation for $45 per person I declined because I had my own vehicle. Ok, so they text me the location to meet. We arrive sign all documents and the tour guide asks us if we have a car because now we have to follow him to a NEW location for the actual tour we said yes. We arrived EARLY and I went back to the car to look for my Dramamine because I get very extremely sick on boats. I didn't have any so we rushed to the store to get some medicine and food because without either it would've been an awful experience for me. We had time anyways since we arrived early. Ok we were 2 mins late heading back and I texted the tour guide that I was had ran to the store to please provide the new address because I could've made it hence I had a car and had to follow them anyways. No reply. I saw a different tour guide at the location and he lied to me and said they walked across the street for the boat and left which was impossible because it was 8:02am. I contacted Viator for a refund and the tour guide company lied to them and said I didn't show up. Mind you I had signed everything and told them of the situation. They are a greedy company and only care about money not customer service because that is not how you treat guests.

Yelp
Came here for the bioluminescent bay tour with a large group of friends the other night. Overall, had a phenomenal time. **Could be five stars but Pure Adventure fell short -- see below** Paddled from the ocean through the tidal mangrove river to the lagoon. Took exactly 53 minutes (timed with Apple Watch) to paddle the 1.13 miles to the lagoon. Note that on our day we were paddling as the tide was flowing out -- thus it took longer than on a high tide day. Much of the reason for the positive review is because of the natural setting itself - it's stunning. Moving your hand through the water produces a glitter like effect -- you really have to see it. However, I cannot give five stars because of the decision made by pure adventure to limit the time in the lagoon with the dinoflagellates. Instead of giving you time to paddle and see the lagoon, they instead subject you to a 15 minute "educational" spiel about the stars and the dinoflagellates. While this is cool, the star part is not what I paid for, and the dinoflagelattes info part can be done on land. Overall, my guide Javier was phenomenal though, and I understand the above plans are out of his personal control. He is humorous, and I got a private ish tour by paddling with him on the way out of the lagoon. If any of the tour operators offer more room in the lagoon, I'll recommend those over Pure Adventure if your main goal is to see the bioluminescence.

M T.

Yelp
FIVE STARS. Gracious, polite, knowledgeable staff. Vessel was well maintained and clean. All passengers- Spanish and English speaking were well tended too equally. And the staff was super helpful to children and non swimmers. We also got a fascinating history lesson on the geo-politics of the region, and the marine environment. Very knowledgeable staff, above and beyond qualified- not just tourism types. These guys are professional scientists too! . Food and beverage offering hit the spot. This is a great outfitter, and should be a local business everyone considers for their family water adventures when in Puerto Rico

Christy D.

Yelp
My family of four had a wonderful experience! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They sea life that we saw definitely exceeded our expectations.

The bay is AMAZING, but the guides on this particular tour were not. I went with this company as part of a bundle rainforest hike + bioluminescent bay tour. My friends and I arrived and were instructed in the use of kayaks (we're all familiar from other kayaking trips). We were told in no uncertain terms that cell phones were NOT allowed. My friend had hers in a waterproof bag that she had attempted to zip up in her life jacket (but the zipper was broken) and one of the guides (Javier?) aggressively told her to zip up her pocket. She explained that the pocket would not zip and he rolled his eyes before going to help unclip the kayaks and ship out. This guide continued to be unhelpful and aggressive, and when my light got tangled at the end of my kayak and I unsuccessfully tried to fix it with my paddle, he asked that I flip it, and after I said I tried, he refused to fix it. It was dark, but I'm assuming this was accompanied by another eye roll. He offered a curt, unfriendly answer to the one question I asked about the bay. None of the guides helped the less experienced kayakers navigate the inlet to get to the bay, leading to back-ups of kayaks and collisions in the narrow waterway. The actual bioluminescent bay was great- the one friendly guide Sandra gave a great talk about how bioluminescence happens, and showed us how to use canopies that were in the back of the kayak to really see the bioluminescence even in the super bright moonlight. I'd definitely recommend going to see a bioluminescent bay, as it's really fascinating and beautiful, with fun kayaking, but I wouldn't choose this company.

Yelp
Very experienced staff and organized! A magical adventure with an educational twist! We even lost our iphone in the water but they found it and called us to return it the next day! They also provided snacks to our kids at the end! We would definitely return on another trip in the future!

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and patient. Javier, Catalina, Enrique, Amauny, and Natalia were encouraging and checking on the group constantly. Natalia helped us get out of the mangroves and stood with us until we were comfortable being on our own.

Yelp
This was the best thing I did on our PR vacation! We took a double deck dive boat out of Fajardp to a beach on West Vieques island. The boat ride was a little choppy, but the staff was super nice, even letting a scared young man sit in the driver's seat to keep him calm. The snorkeling was great! Visibility and coral sightings are not great, but they were able to find places to see turtles, rays, and lots of fish. They were very patient and careful with young and inexperienced swimmers, and even had some paddle boards to try out. The drive back was great too, with a couple of drinks and a satisfied day out on the water I would totally do it again. Maybe I'll go diving next time, or actually, maybe not...

Yelp
Went snorkeling with this team today, they were phenomenal! Super kid friendly, provided adult beverages, SO sweet/caring/respectful, and guided us through an AMAZING snorkeling experience! My boyfriend and I were able to swim with a sea turtle which was a bucket list check for us!! My flipper came off while snorkeling and they were quick to come help fix it! Then when we scheduled a ride for later than we should have, the guide waited 30 mins until he saw us in the ride-share vehicle!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
We were in Puerto Rico for a week for fall break. We had 5 snorkelers and 2 divers. I didn't book too far in advance. Pure Adventure was great communicating through email so that we could get both the scuba divers and the snorkelers on the same trip. We booked a half day trip to Visques. The boat was large and the staff was wonderful in discussing our trip. We stopped at a private beach where we walked, swam, and snorkeled in the crystal clear water. After about an hour, we were off to divers. My 11 year old was recently certified and was a little nervous. His dive guide was great. He loved diving. Our snorkel trip was great too. I cannot say enough about this outfit. We had already booked with another dive company on the island for later in the week. It was not nearly as good of an experience.

Yelp
This review is for the full day CULEBRA SNORKLE Tour. First: if you want to go and see CULEBRA, then do not take this tour. If you want to go and SNORKLE and see coral reefs, take this tour. The boat ride there was over an hour and 15 minutes, while the ferry only takes 45 minutes and costs 2 dollars (just buy your tickets online) and will be much more comfortable. There was little shade on the boat, and you get soaked and sick because the boat is very small and the ocean is rough. The seats also have no back and are hard metal, which will hurt your legs and back as the boat rocks wildly. Then, once you finally get to CULEBRA, WOW!! The beach is beautiful! Flamenco beach is a natural wonder. But, since the boat took so long we had less than an hour to really hang out at that beach. Once we left the beach, we expected to go to another beach. But, we were taken to the middle of the water to SNORKLE. The snorkeling is very cool, but in your opinion this experience is not worth the 3~ hours of uncomfortable boat riding and the 100$ price tag. RECCOMENDATION: Take the CULEBRA ferry instead from Ceiba. Rent a Jeep or golf cart on the island and then drive to flamenco beach yourself! There is plenty snorkeling to be had there. message me with any questions!

Yelp
We had an amazing experience with this crew. Private boat ride, amazing snorkeling and scuba, and honestly an amazing chicken salad wrap for our lunch. Lol. Highly recommend these guys!

Yelp
I booked the bio bay tour with this company. The age requirement started at 6yrs old so I thought it would be a cool thing to do with my 6yr old son while we were on the island. I could not have been more wrong. I was placed by myself on a kayak with my son (who is too young to paddle) on a windy night. I could not control the kayak and instead of assisting or having one of the guides come with me as a triple, I was told I shouldn't go on the tour and not even offered a partial reimbursement on a tour I paid $60 a person for with 5 of us present. The rest of our group also had to turn back due to having small children in their kayaks and the fear of not being able to control the kayaks with them in it. This company is all about the money without any thought to personal experience. Would not recommend to anyone that is a beginner or anyone traveling with children under the age of 15.

Yelp
This review is for the half day Vieques snorkeling tour. The staff were very cool, knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and accommodating. The boat ride to Vieques was pretty choppy, I'd recommend staying towards the front, if you stay outside you are going to get soaked. I appreciated that we had a chance to get used to snorkeling in a shallow beach lined area before going a few feet further in. There was amazing underwater life including colorful fish, sea turtles, and sting rays. Let me just add, it's a basic charter, nothing fancy, but definitely intimate and just cool. If you want wine, a full meal, and bells and whistles, this isn't the tour for you. If the goal is to get to Vieques and see underwater life, you're good.

Yelp
Loved it sooo much! The staff was so nice and sweet and they were very careful and looked out for our safety at all times. Vieques itself was a private beach where we stopped first to get used to our snorkeling gear and have a little fun before the snorkeling tour, which was deeper in the water led by the staff. The service was spectacular honestly and I definitely recommend everyone to try out the snorkeling because it's great!! We saw turtles, manta rays, and so many kinds of fishes! Plus we had a great lunch on board! 100% recommended.

Yelp
Went on a scuba dive to Vieques, price was on par with other operators. I did like the location Roosevelt Roads, pretty cool to see the base a little pre-trip. Divemaster Juan is a marine biologist and a very good guide. Reef spots were really good, saw almost all the big animals - nurse shark, barracuda, turtles, lobster, spotted rays, southern rays, octopus. Carlito, our captain, was a good conversationalist and good guide as well. Boat was a 46 Neptune in good order. No complaints, all upside as diving should be.

Yelp
I did the Culebra snorkeling adventure. We had so much fun! Culebra is such a beautiful place: the water was fantastic. The crew is super service oriented, friendly and catering to the needs of each guest. My mom needed help (as she does not know how to swim) and the captain "shuttled " her to shore with a paddle board. We are thankful for the experience and will boon again!

Yelp
We did the full day snorkel trip to Culebra it was great! The guide were great and very knowledgeable. Lunch was tasty and theres was drinks and snacks so everything you need. It was cool to see the beautiful Flamenco beach of Culebra, and a reef, where we saw a huge sting ray, turtle and lots of tropical fish. I would definitely recommend this trip if you are looking for a day trip to Culebra!

Yelp
Please do not book with this company! We were at Punta Arenas in Vieques when a PUREADVENTUREPR boat pulled up; they drove past the reef 2 times very close to shore, right where sea turtles are feeding. Not to mention it ruined the visibility for snorklers; even worse they decided to drop their anchor ON the reef. Not sure if this company has a licence to anchor on Vieques but please book with a company that respects our wildlife. Boat tours that don't care about where they anchor, what's around and what impact they could have will destory our ecosystem in the long run! Book with another tour company that cares about their impact, is sustainable & anchors away from sea turtles and our reefs #protectVieques
