If you're planning to visit a charming old Parsi bakery, I want to share a few important details. This beloved establishment often runs out of popular items, so it's wise to arrive early since most delicious treats tend to sell out quickly. Keep in mind that the bakery opens its doors at seven in the morning, and if you arrive later than that, you may find it closed. To truly enjoy the delightful offerings, aim for an early visit!

Got to know throughy husband that this bakery has no branches and I had to visit it for him as he wanted to have the shrewsbery biscuits and I ended up buying a lot more than that.. Shrewsbery biscuit 5/5 Wine biscuit 3/5 Chocolate walnut cake 4/5 Plain cake 3/5 Cup cake 5/5 Khari 5/5 Cheese crackers 3/5 Can be ordered through Zomato The hype is real but no need to go early morning we visited just before closing and we found everything on the menu

This is what now passes for “quality” at Kayani Bakery (see photos). I remember visiting Pune from Mumbai during our summer holidays, and the Shrewsbury and Brazilnut biscuits from Kayani were always such a treat — a highlight of the trip, even. Back then, it wasn’t just a bakery, it was an experience. Sadly, it feels like the brand is now coasting on nostalgia rather than delivering the quality it was once known for. Their prices are up but quality is down. When businesses rest on their past glory and stop putting customers first, it’s a recipe for disappointment — and eventually, decline. The lines at the store are still there, but noticeably shorter. Maybe people are finally realising they’re not getting the value they once did. A wake-up call is long overdue.

Indeed a famous bustling bakery in Pune. Of course it has a legendary history however, personally did not like much of the product. Tried cakes and cookies but honestly there are many other bakery who offers better taste. That said, they found hygienic and orders were serviced pretty quick and efficiently. The average cost would go anyway between 600 to 1000 if one buying minimum of their three items. Beware of parking! Till the time a person aproch and issue a parking ticket, you wouldn't even know there is such thing.

The place is an institution. The longstanding bakery is the go-to place for mawa cakes, shrewsberry cookiee, and other baked goods, and to the tourists, it’s a Pune icon to take something from for their loved ones. I have been going to Kayani Bakery since 2011, and its craze has only increased with time. Now, you have to stand in a queue at any given time to enjoy a few of there offerings, and if you arrive a little late, you might not get what you want. But is all the hype really worth it? Let’s find out. There is not much to the ambience of this place, it’s a small place with a long line of people waiting to get their 2 mins inside the shop. The lines moves fast, but it is a line and who likes standing in a line. So, I won’t comment much on the ambience. Now the food. Over time, I have tried a lot of there offerings. 1. Shrewsbury cookies: Delicate, rich and delicious. These cookies are definitely cloud like and beautiful with a hot cup of tea, but are Kayani’s biscuits exceptionally great? Perhaps not. 4/5 2. Mawa cake: Soft, spongy and mildly sweet, but again, nothing outstanding. 4/5 3. Brazil nut cookies: These are great. Amazing flavours and satisfying crunch. 4.5/5 4. Wine cookies: Good. 4/5 The place is definitely a scrumptious hit of nostalgia, but as a bakery of cakes and cookies, I would rate them 4/5 at best. Some of there offerings like cream rolls and khari are quite ordinary. As far as the service is concerned, they are cakes are literally selling like hot cakes, and that shows in there service. They are quick, efficient, but they don’t necessarily care about you, as such. They just want to fulfill the order and move on. 3/5 PS: The prices are slightly on the higher end. Overall 3/5

क्या कहना? Food: I am a vegetarian, so I couldn't have much stuff over here, but whatever I could, it was amazing. They've obviously mastered everything they do. The coffee cake is AMAZING. Shrewsbury biscuits are also cool, I personally can have only 1 at a time. Elaichi butter is something very very interesting. Khari was awesome. Ambience and location: The place is OLD to say the least, but not unclean or untidy at all. The front yard is full of trees that give shade to the building. Nice. Staff and owners: Poised, calm, fast, soft spoken. I talked to their family member, awesome guy. Looks like John Travolta. Prices: I personally thought their prices are also alright. They're not overly costly, not cheap either. Quality to pricing ratio is good. Will visit again. Need to have their Eggless cake cause thats one of the sweet things I can have there. Note: their stuff gets over quickly as you already may know, so visit in the mornings.

‘With Big Brand.. comes Big Humility’.. This is the quote that I would like to suggest to the administration of this Old and reputed bakery of Pune.. Located in centre area of Pune Camp, this bakery is literally walking distance from other famous eateries such as Burger-Camp, Garden Wada pav.. The taste of the biscuits here is actually exemplary.. With ‘Shrewsberry Biscuits’, ‘Coffee Biscuits’ being my two favourites.. However this taste has seemingly gotten into the head of people running this shop, especially the younger folks managing the counter.. The feeling given here was more of like that the Staff is doing a favour on the customer by taking their money.. Hope this review is read by them and their behaviour improves.. Pro reviewer Tips: - Choose less rush hours to visit this place. - Always talk to one person only to place all your orders, as the staff is incapable of managing orders if done through more than 1 person - Best picks here: Chocolate Walnut cake, Shrewsberry Biscuit, Coffee Biscuit, Ginger Biscuit

Kayani Bakery is a legendary spot in Pune, known for its iconic shrewberry biscuits, which are truly delicious. Along with that, they offer a variety of other flavors like chocolate and coconut, all equally delightful. Their breads and pavs are exceptionally fresh and soft, making them a must-try. The taste, quality, and old-school charm of this place make it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. A must-visit for bakery lovers!
