Many units are owned by individuals so your experience may vary. We rented 508 and it was marvelous. Super clean, freshly remodeled and a kitchen that had everything. Very central to all areas of Maui. Met a few residents and they were an added bonus of friendliness. Underground secure private parking. ELEVATOR!! Carts for luggage and groceries. 100% recommend.

My 3rd time staying here, it's a hidden gem. Price is more reasonable than next door at Sugar Beach Resort. Less condos so it's quiet, the grounds are nicely kept, and it's a :30 walk from any unit pretty much to the beach or pool. Parking is easy and accessible. Our units have all been comfortable and nicely furnished. The office staff is friendly and easy to communicate with regarding reservations or if there's anything you need in the unit. I love the big grassy area that's shaded right next to the building, my daughter loves just running around there. There's also a big stack of books on top of the mailboxes that you can take or donate to, so if you run out of reading material, just go there.

We had a condo unit on the third floor with excellent views of the beach and western Maui. The condo was of good size with a separate bedroom with very comfortable bed and storage. Showing its age a bit but still very pleasant. Nice balcony to enjoy while eating or just hanging out and with the beautiful views. The kitchen was well stocked and ha everything needed. Small living room with a couch was great to relax in. Bathroom was great with a nice large shower. Overall the apartment was a great place to stay and central for travel to all parts of Maui. Only 10 minutes from airport. For restaurants and grocery we went to Kihei area which is about a 10 minute drive. Great variety. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming, as it is not too deep or shallow. Can walk for about 1 km one direction and about 5 km in the other. Nice hard sand so very easy to walk in the mornings and evenings. The sunsets were stunning. There is a small pool and grass in the front of the property. Plenty of loungers to relax on and suntan, or watch the sunsets. Very well maintained property and clean.

Awesome location. In the northen most Kihei resort, right on the beach, no road in between the condo and the beach. Great snorkeling right from your condo. Easy access to the highways, very centrally located. You can go North to Kapalua Bay and Honolua Bay, you can go South to Makena landing and Maalaea, you can easily go to Kahalui and Paia too. Very nice area, Ululanis and ABC stores are walking distance from the condo too!

Quiet, almost felt semi private, after hopping to other air bnb locations I would come back to this gem again and again. Gnats were only negative as thousands accumulated at night near any light hit what a lovely area central to so much.

I stayed in condo 601, it was so awesome ! Could hear the ocean every night… Views were amazing..beach just steps away. The grounds are clean, freshwater pool was beautiful and sparkling... A beautiful 2 1/2 mile walk on the beach to Maalaea Bay or go the other way a short walk and you have a farmers market, ABC store and Ululani’s Shaved ice and Huli Huli chicken and ribs every Wednesday and Saturday... I added some pictures so you could get the idea 😊

Our unit was not clean, very small and we experienced road noice day and night. Grounds very nice. If you wanted to use a lounge you had to lift it off a stack and haul it where you are going to use it and then put it back. Not easy for seniors. On ocean side, nice view from most of the units.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Kealia. The beach is great and is a lovely place to go for a very long walk (or not). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Beach supplies were also available. A previous reviewer mentioned leaving a boogie board, but we didn't find one. The bed was also very comfortable. Our only issue was how hot the condo got in the afternoon. It was impossible to sit on the deck because of the glaring sun. Inside the condo, it was even hotter. We kept the blinds closed to try and keep the unit cool, but that didn't work very well. We finally gave in and turned on the aircon. The aircon is rather old and very noisy. As a last resort, we opened the condo door and the patio doors to try and get some air circulation (although, there is a notice to not to do that. We had no choice if wanted some air.). Thankfully, it cools down in the evening making it possible to sleep. ||||There's not a lot of dining or shopping options within walking distance. You will definitely need a car. ||||Overall, we had a nice stay.

Yelp
I stayed in unit 406 for 10 days last April. The view was fabulous. The unit met all of my comfort needs. Plenty of kitchen ware towels etc. Sherry the manager was an absolute doll. "Johnnie on the spot" so friendly and accommodating. I have spent time at the resort next door [ 10 day stay ] and would much sooner book Kealia again. I hoping to spend 2 weeks here this fall Aloha

Yelp
We stayed in unit 102 for 2 weeks. The views and access to the pool and beach are great. They need to update their outdoor furniture. There is no small table or dining room table to eat at. We ate on our laps on a very small sofa. They need another lounge chair in the family room. The unit advertises that it sleeps (4). There is no way it will accommodate 4 people. It was too small for (2). Pick a different unit if you stay here. We were very disappointed.

Yelp
We just arrived back to the 9th Island after a great stay at Kealia. Perfect quiet beach. Grounds were meticulous. Grills were super clean. Just an all around clean and nice property. It's further from all the restaurants and shops than 90% of the other resorts and we LOVE that about this place. Maui Canoe Club was within walking distance. Just a great spot!

Yelp
For youngsters it's suggestible to stay in kaanapalli, which is northern part of Maui. However, Kealia Resort, which is southern part of Maui,is perfect to stay as well. Unit 208 has partial ocean view and access to beach. Place is beautifully decorated with all the required stuff. It has beach chairs, towels, body boards and snorkel gear

Yelp
We loved it here! The condo was clean and had wonderful access to the beach. The lawn chairs were provided and the pool was kept nice and clean. Staff was friendly and on top of everything; Roger came to check us in, even when he was out of his office, and every morning we saw Sherry cleaning the pool and barbecue area. The location is central to many restaurants and attractions; it's within walking distance of the local farmers market and ABC store. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Yelp
We are staying in 403 for a week (we are still here and leave in 2 nights). This condo was well stocked, and clean. The ocean view is wonderful. We appreciated the extras in the condo such as a boogie board, beach chairs, and much more. The complex itself is well maintained, and we appreciated the designated garage parking spot. Leaving the garage can be tricky as it is a major road you pull out on, not a big deal but something to be aware of. The beach is right there (Sugar Beach!) and it is beautiful. We enjoyed the pool one day as well. My husband selected this condo based on the location, and the size of the complex. We've stayed at large condo properties in Maui before (this is our 5th trip) and have come to appreciate a smaller complex. This condo has AC which we only used once, but it is nice having the option. There are also 2 ceiling fans which help a lot. The kitchen is well stocked and we ended up having more meals at the condo than prior trips due to the COVID restrictions at restaurants which led to a need for reservations or long wait times. That's just fine, with a good kitchen to utilize this was actually really fine! It also was super nice having a washer and dryer in the unit. We will be back to Kealia Resort I'm sure!

Yelp
I paid for a condo, unit 303 on the VRBO site stated it had A/C. Had to pay in full more than 2 months in advance. We arrived to find out there was no A/C, well there was an A/C unit with a 60 minute timer. Even when it was on there was no A/C affect in the bedroom. It was too hot and humid to sleep. The rest of the condo was really trashing looking and needed to be cleaned. We moved after the first miserable night. I asked the condo owner and VRBO for the 3 unused nights. So far no response and no refund! VBRO is looking into the misrepresentation, I still no refund for the days that were not used.

Yelp
Our stay here was amazing! Sherry was amazing , she made it easy to book and very tentative to our needs , we felt safe , this is also the last set of condos on the "strip" so it was a secluded but still close enough to town , we were able to cook in our condo so we did not have to eat out every night (save a little money), there were residents that live there full time and were so friendly , staff around in case you needed anything , I will DEFINITELY be bringing my family back to this location !! Thank you Kealia for the wonderful stay xoxo

Yelp
Our second time staying at these condos and we loved it! We first stayed in 102 which has 2 beds and was bigger. It was a good size for our group of 3 and had all the right amenities. This year we stayed in 101 which was smaller in size but perfect for my husband and I but I can't imagine having more people. Location is everything and this complex is amazing with direct beach access steps away. The bottom floors you can just walk right out to the pool and beach! It's also very centrally located and in close proximity to Kihei, Wailea, Maaelea Harbor, Lahaina and the airport. Sugar Beach is very quiet with soft sand so perfect place for a relaxing getaway. I would have been more comfortable if the bedroom in 101 had AC but the fans that we're provided helped at night. The AC in the living room was great. The condo also has all the basics you'll need in the kitchen which we loved since it meant we could easily cook meals at home instead of going out all the time. We'd definitely stay again at either condo!

Yelp
Great place to stay but the main lady that works there is such a snob. She doesn't make it a pleasant experience. No aloha with her lmao but other than that great place. Just know that Karen works here. Hang loose lady

Yelp
we stayed in room 601 for 4 nights and it was just an awesome experience for us. First of all, i loved the decorations in the apartment and made the apartment very cozy, warm and you are in Hawaii :) Secondly, this place has a fully equipped kitchen so we were able to make breakfasts in the morning and eat in the balcony overlooking the beach. The location is convenient, we were able to go to all the places that we wanted to go to by car (ie: drug store, supermarket, restaurants and all the tourist sites - not a long drive). Also, this apartment has all the beach towels that you need, dish washer, detergent.. whatever you think you need for a home, they got it!! The beach and pool downstairs were ok, we saw alot of people walking around the beach walk in the morning but since we were only there for 4 days so we just went to the nicer beaches around the island instead. However, i loved the beach view!!!

Yelp
Love my oceanfront condo! You are just steps from the ocean here. The pool is quiet. The grounds are well maintained. There are two BBQ's. We love walking the beach in the morning! There is snorkeling in the morning when there are calm waters and boogie boarding when the surf is up in the afternoon. It is a convenient location to drive anywhere on the island. They also provide coffee and donuts every Friday at 10:00 am.

Yelp
The resort is perfectly located. In seconds you are on the highway to Kihei, Lahaina, Kahului, and all points thereafter. The Kealia #601 had absolutely everything we needed for our stay in Hawaii. The bed was comfortable and even the pull-out couch provided a great night's sleep. The kitchen was well-appointed. The bathroom was beautiful (newly remodeled), and the view was to die for. Being the corner unit and on the topmost floor provided a more spacious scene of the ocean and sky. (We have stayed on the floor below.) All-in-all very clean and tidy. We were visiting Hawaii to be with our children and 2-year-old grandchild, so the pool was just the right size. There was a lawn area on the ocean side that included bar-b-ques and picnic tables and then a huge lawn area on the north side for running amok, as 2-year-olds do. Everyone we met, both resident and visitor was very hospitable. There were postings in the elevator for get-togethers every week. The grounds were very well-kept. Having stayed mostly in hotels on our visits, the Kealia was by far the most enjoyable and affordable. We were able to cook and entertain as we like. Highly recommended!

Yelp
It was our home away from home. Our condo with a partial ocean view was 407. It had everything we needed. It was clean, comfortable and convenient to all. Definitely coming back and bringing the whole family. Tomorrow is our last day and am dreading leaving...

Yelp
We stayed in 302. The apartment was nicely decorated and well-fitted out with lots of useful stuff, including all the kitchen utensils you'd need, helpful tips from the owners and managers, etc etc. I loved having the ocean so close so that you can hear the waves all the time. The pool and grounds are very attractive, and the beach itself is a lovely sand beach (not very wide but quite serviceable) and the water beautiful and good for swimming. I didn't have such great success snorkeling - when I swam in the early morning or late afternoon, it was never so easy to see clearly. Maybe another time would have been better. I also liked the fact that the view from the front door/front of the building was of the fields/ponds nearby, and the beautiful mountains of central Maui (not other buildings, for instance), and if you looked out toward the ocean you'd see the beautiful mountain of west Maui to the right. Also the place is well-situated to drive to different parts of the island, it's relatively central. The only thing that was negative for me was the noise of the traffic from north Kihei Road, which you could hear if you opened the bathroom or kitchen windows (or sometimes you could hear even with the windows closed). I'm sensitive to noise, so we kept the windows closed and I greatly enjoyed my stay.
