The best place for modern authentic aloha wear. All of their plant prints depict only indigenous and endemic plants. They do their runs in small batches, and when something is sold out, it’s gone. This brand has a dedicated following, and for a highly anticipated release, sometimes people will wait in line for hours. The offerings (like most small-run alohawear) are always turning over and can be hit or miss, sometimes it’s a bit picked-over in the store or the print/palette doesn’t land. But it’s more hits than misses. Top notch stuff, must visit while on island.

Love this store and these products. Their prints and fabrics are beautiful and I’m happy for the Hawaiian design, especially that this is originated from Molokai. This is a great spot for gifts. They have pricier clothing items (which had always been popular) but also other smaller and lower priced items that are beautiful.

My wife was looking for a quality, locally made clothing shop, which led us here. Amazing store with great service from Jessica! Attention to detail and a real pride in artisan craft is very clear. My wife picked up two lovely dresses of different styles and I even found a shirt. I would have walked out with a few, had my size not been in short supply. We’ll certainly be back on our next trip. This store is wonderful. It is small but the selection of merchandise is wonderful. The lovely staff of young women made everyone that was in the store comfortable and happy to be there. My daughter loves this store. She lives in Salt Lake City and always visits this store when she is home. This was my first visit and I can see why my daughter loves this store. I will be coming back!!!

Beautiful store and products . I haven’t shopped here many times but when I do it’s mostly for gifts for others who love the products . Beyond the products the customer service wasn’t the best any time I have come into this store front. The girls who are working seem unhappy to be there let alone help people. Very strong presence of attitude can be picked up by anyone when receiving help . I hope this will change in the future . As a local person I enjoy supporting local business but not if I can’t get some decent customer service . Why pay the prices to be treating like your money doesn’t matter or your business at that .

My friend Matt and I shopped Kealopiko at their booth at Merrie Monarch last week. We were attracted to the beautiful patterns and colors offered. Even though there was no dressing room, or mirror at the booth, everyone was so helpful and friendly, I purchased two lovely floral print dresses. Matt got a beautiful shirt he wore to the closing night of the festival. We sat behind the musicians and as it turned out Kealopiko’s beautiful new red and white floral shirt as modeled by Matt was visible in much of the festival broadcast coverage! We had so much fun at the booth, we took a selfie with the team there. Happy memories and beautiful clothing! Pockets in the dresses are a big plus! Mahalo👏🌸🌿

Very cute store. Girls are very friendly and nice! Very island style. Size wise, must try!! Petite to bigger size. Love the material. High price but you pay for the originality and quality.

There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this shop. I wish I could shop there more often... The designs change often and the patterns are so beautiful. I love that they use bright colors like pink and emerald green a lot. The dresses are so comfortable and I always get compliments when I wear any of their clothes. I also love that once the garment is sold out, that's it. Can't wait to go back!!

If you're looking to support and buy local, Kealopiko is your shop! Made on Moloka'i with plenty of aloha, this little shop has definitely come a long way since starting in 2006. Their easy to wear, Hawaiian graphic designs are all unique and one-of-a-kind as each piece is hand screened and assembled right here in the islands. The fun colors and original designs all work together to create fun combinations while also offering just enough variety for everyone to find their own unique style. From mens aloha shirts and shorts to womens blouses, dresses, and rompers, they also have plenty of choices for keiki and for the home as well. On a most recent visit, I stopped by on the first day of their opening at their NEW Monsarrat location. Although tiny in size, this biz was overflowing with aloha; from when I walked in, all throughout my visit and even upon leaving, the staff was fantastic, friendly, and kind. Always offering me help, fielded all of my questions, and even offering me great advice (because I'm indecisive, lol). Parking here is pretty easy with two stalls right in front. I just so happened to be coming from the KCC farmer's market and found street parking on Monsarrat not far from the shop and walked. All in all, I love this local biz. If you're looking for authentic aloha wear, this is the perfect place!

Very disappointed with the customer service here. You would think that a "Hawaiian" store would at least have hospitality and welcome you when you enter and intend to kako'o their business. But nope, I walked in and no greeting, no aloha, no howzit, no hello. Then as I looked around the workers seemed more interested in each other than in trying to provide any kind of customer service, kind of making me feel unwelcome. Too bad, I've bought many things from online before and was pretty excited to check out the store since I was in town. Maybe next time it'll be better with more aloha.

They make nice clothes at a good price, and I always want to support local. However, they must do extremely limited runs, then hype it up on social media. For the latest release, it was set for an 11:00 release. I was online right at that time, and got the two things I wanted in my shopping cart. Then their site crashed. When I was able to get back on in a few minutes, it claims everything was sold out. I even drove to the brick and mortar store, and the line was causing traffic on the road. Not sure that anyone was actually able to get what they wanted, which such limited runs of items. Maybe they could make more since demand is so high? Or maybe they don't need to hype it up on social media to create such a mess. I'm also reading all the other reviews and I'm so sad to report that everything being said about the lack of customer service is true. It doesn't hurt anyone to show a little aloha! I truly hope they can do better after reading all the complaints. I see potential here!

I love Kealopiko and have been a customer ever since I purchased a puka square from their booth at 'Aha Wahine years ago. Went in yesterday to exchange a shirt I had purchased online: their sizing changed for one of their newest 'ahukai and became much smaller! Although they noted that on their website the sizing was smaller for me it was off by 2 sizes! However, this review is solely based on my experience at their new location. It was the first time I went in to their Kapahulu store and i was shocked at how different the customer service was from their Kaka'ako store, where the salespeople were extremely nice and wonderful. The two girls who were there yesterday acted very annoyed when I came in to do the exchange. It was around 520p and they close at 6p, so I wasn't making them stay open just for me or anything. They didn't talk to me directly almost the whole time...They talked to each other! Their whole 'ano was very bored and put-upon! It was so bad the other person I came in with commented on how rude it was after we left. He halekū'ai Hawai'i kēia? Based on this experience, I'll probably stick to online orders and exchanges when I purchase from Kealopiko.

Aloha this store! Beautiful island designs! One of my favorites!!! Went to their Aloha pillow pop-up at South Shore Marketplace. Absolutely amazing merchandise for home , their products will bring a warm island feel in to any home. The right combination of beautiful colors and patterns! The associates are so nice and helpful . I bought a queen quilt, two baby blankets, a pillowcase and a poof to put your feet up. Can't wait to get home and display my new treasures! I also have a small collection of their aloha shirts and a short. I love the feel of the fabric it's so easy to wear. They also feature beautiful crafts from local artists. I bought a beautiful Lauhala hat here a few years ago! Beautiful Hawaiian store!

There is a reason why this business only has three stars. I live in a Hawai and I am a surfer. I purchased a beach poncho from them on-line: https://kealopiko.com/collections/kane-1/products/aweoweo-hooded-poncho-rose-1. The poncho was very expensive and when it showed up, it was cheaply made and poorly constructed - paper thin and rough material and terribly cut - my girlfriend said I looks like I am wearing a rice sack. I asked politely to return it for a refund and was told no refunds are offered, only store credit. Right, like I wanted to trade in this piece of junk for another piece of junk. This one will go into the landfill, where it belongs. I purchased a far superior one from Amazon for 1/3 the price. So much for buying local.

I recently learned about this company from a customer and immediately fell in love with their designs and products. A few weeks ago I went in to visit their store and had wonderful experience. Not only were the two women welcoming and friendly, but they were extremely helpful when suggesting fit and what looked best for my body style. I appreciated their kindness and cheerful attitude. Their items can be on the pricey side but after educating myself on the company I have no problem paying a little more & supporting a locally owned small business.

The reason I'm leaving this review is because of Customer service, not welcoming at all, demanding that we wear face mask which they provided at door and sanitizing of hands, even though there where no other customers in store. No hello or greeting at front door and the girls were a little snobby! For me how you make someone feel while entering a store is everything, if they feel like they shouldn't be there you will not be having returning customers! I will not be returning!

My cousin told me about this store and during my vacation in Moloka'i, she took me to their print house on Moloka'i - they were having a sale. I thought their designs were very cute, good quality, and unique. On this day, I was in the area and thought I'd peek in to see what the Oahu store provides. The store was nicely arranged and was easy for me to see all their merchandise. They have men, women, and keiki clothes. The patterns are amazing and have a range of sizes. The price is a bit expensive, but you cannot deny the quality. It's hard to find good quality clothes. PLUS it's local!! THE place to come when looking for Hawaiian design. The staff are very friendly and was available if I needed assistance. It's always a PLUS to be recognized when inside the store. Kealopiko shop is located on the first level of South Shore Marketplace and near Lucy Lab's Creamery.

Purchased $300 of merchandise. Chose to return the merchandise for a refund, same day. They said one of the three items was a final sale. There was no signage saying final sale and they gave us no heads up. The other two products could not be returned for refund, only store credit. Auwe This brick and mortar retailer should mimic online retailers liberal return and refund policies. Adapt or perish.

I called to check to see if the store would be open because yelp said it was closed. When I got to the store there was a post it note saying they were closed for lunch from 2-2:45. There was no mention of the store closing for lunch online or when I talked to them 10 min earlier. There were still customers in the store and there was more than one worker in the store so I don't understand why the entire store needs to be closed for that long. When I called the store to ask about the hours they didn't pick up. They just looked at me called from outside the shop. I drove all the out to do some last minute Christmas shopping and I'm very disappointed with the store.

I hear myself often saying, "I need to buy local" This fantastic little shop makes that goal so easy for me. The original designs, beautiful Hawaiian graphics, and easy to wear styles are just some of the wonderful aspects of this store. Every piece of material is hand screened and made with true aloha. The originality in design and the fun color combinations, offer varieties for everyone to find their own style. They have men's aloha shirts, women's clothing, and lots of things for kids of all ages. They also do custom work. This company originated on the island of Molokai and I am so excited that they are finally here on Oahu!! The staff is fantastic, they follow up with inquiries quickly, and actually notify you when there are things you were looking for. The customer service is impeccable and full of aloha spirit. If you are looking for a classy Hawaiian design, this is the perfect place for you. Buy local. Be happy.

I have shopped in the store many times as well as online. Staff is ALWAYS friendly & cares very much of the products in hand. I was sooooooo excited to visit the store & find a dress or whatever else comes to mind. I luv luv Kealopiko & their Aloha designs. The cotton is buttery soft. I'm addicted. My recent visit though was not so pleasant. The associate was less friendly & seemed annoyed we were trying to pick a hat with the beautiful Aloha wear sewn on the front. Zero customer service at this store! I always come to this store when I'm shopping at South Shore. I came in the other week looking to buy an aloha shirt. I was the only customer in the store and there were two employees. No one acknowledged me as I entered, asked me if I needed any help while I was looking, or said bye when I left! While I was browsing, I made eye contact with one of the employees to make sure she knew I was in the store. She looked at me like it was such an inconvenience for me to be there. It was more important for them to be FaceTiming, talking about some other employee "not working on the weekends and she needs to be talked to" gibberish. I guess the manager (or whoever) they were FaceTiming with is okay with their employees having zero customer engagement, South Shore Market is always dead when I go, and I always wonder how the smaller businesses survive. I'm pretty sure your small local business needs customers. My boyfriend and I usually come here during the holidays to buy aloha shirts but after this recent experience, NAAAAH. They might have a friendly appearance on Instagram but the shopping experience at the store is complete opposite. Super disappointed!

I absolutely adore their clothes. Their hawaii inspired designs, colors and choice of fabric is spot on for me. If you are looking for a one of a kind look, this is the place to go. I love their playful designs

Love this store. I appreciate supporting a consciously sourced and well made designs by a very creative and talented local company. I feel their brand has done a great job with their market presence and people like me will pay the price for a quality garment from their store because others will recognize it as an elevated piece of clothing and you are supporting a local designer. Happy to see talent in Hawaii getting more success and recognition for great work.

I love supporting local artists and vendors but unfortunately, customer service is totally lacking in this establishment. We visited the store on 3/8/20 and not once did the store employee greet us (despite being right in front of her). Her eyes were glued on her phone/computer behind the register. No smile, no eye contact, no "welcome," no "do you need any help." I would have purchased a few aloha shirts that day, but I'd rather patronize a local vendor like Sig Zane. Kealopiko needs to find better employees that embrace customer service. This seems to be a recurring theme as other customers are posting similar experiences.

Just tried to exchange a shirt that had been given to me as a gift. I wanted to exchange it because it was too large for me. I had never worn the shirt, which was still in perfect condition. I was told that they could not exchange it because it had been purchased "at an event". I fail to understand the rationale. I like to support local businesses whenever possible, but it is hard to recommend a company that has such poor customer service. I don't plan to shop there again.
