We absolutely enjoyed staying here a year and a half ago! We wanted to camp with our kids along the Road to Hana, and this was a wonderful place to stop. We were the only ones there (with perfect instructions on how to get in). It was fun to explore the property. AMAZING views. We felt so lucky to have been able to camp here. We had hot water for our much needed showers. Were there bugs? Absolutely. It's Hawaii.. And we're camping. Did we care? No... Not more than any other typical, buggy campground! It poured a ton (lots of toads came out to say hi!). There ended up being a flash flood warning that didn't come through until sometime in the middle of the night - I saw it when I woke up worried that it was still pouring, and upon checking the weather (that wasn't up to date), saw the warning. So my only recommendation would be to make sure people have Wi-Fi access or weather radio access throughout the property if there isn't going to be staff on site - Wi-Fi was only accessible from the one bathroom area that was at the very top of the property, and it was iffy. I can appreciate being screen free and just enjoying the scenery and company, but there was literally *nobody* there to help us had things gotten worse... and we're from the Midwest. Our flash flooding doesn't sweep us into the deep, dark ocean. There was a recent flash flood prior to us arriving, so maybe I was a little on edge, but I feel compelled to write this review given the recent tragedy in TX. Lovely place, but we had no clue whether we should have left or stayed or moved everyone further up the property in the middle of the pouring rain at 4am because we didn't have a reliable way to get weather info. Should the Jeep have a weather radio? Probably. And I'll be emailing them as well. But just thought I'd stop and leave my thoughts because I felt pretty lucky when we woke up the next morning (that nothing went wrong, but also ...so pretty!). (For what it's worth, we're very competent in dealing with our crazy weather at home, but when you're in a completely new place it's hard to know what's warranted.)
