13 Best Beaches in Maui, From Quiet Coves to Surfing Strongholds | Condé Nast Traveler
"Tucked between Wailea and Kihei, Keawakapu offers cushiony white sand ideal for lounging, strolling, and sunrise yoga, with calm ocean waters good for swimming and snorkeling—especially at the southern end—and makes a quieter alternative to South Maui’s larger tourist beaches." - Kat Chen
This beach was recommended by several staff from our hotel. The beach is beautiful with its very smooth sand. It’s a little tricky navigating from the parking lot while carrying beach chairs and umbrellas. The place was crowded when we visited, I can see why there why the place is popular with swimmers.

Smooth sand (virtually no rocks). Grassy area next to the sand for even more comfortable seating. Beautiful water, great temperature. Waves were pleasant. Free parking/access. This beach was "just right" for us.

Keawakapu Beach is a gem with soft sand, clear waters, and fewer crowds than other Maui beaches. It’s great for swimming, snorkeling near the rocky outcrops, and long walks along the shore. Sunsets here are stunning, and morning visits offer calm waters. Limited parking means arriving early is best. There are showers but no public restrooms. It’s a peaceful, scenic spot perfect for a relaxed beach day.

Great beach for exploring. The day we went, the surf was pretty rough so we just explored around the rocks. Easy parking and lots of shade.

Always a great beach to swim at, with interesting formations for snorkeling. Nice showers and well maintained restrooms for a comfortable day at one of Maui's most scenic beaches.

A great swimming beach, as the waves are calm. Relaxing. Water is clear. Can go out pretty far and still touch. Not super busy. Have noticed quite a few dogs with their owners, which is cute and entertaining.

Favorite beach on ALL of Maui. Great beach for swimming, snorkeling, walking and tide pools. Great place to go when the wind kicks up… you can head up into the grass in front of the Mana Kai and the building will block the wind. Love this beach!
