Kedareswar Bed and Breakfast

I want to talk about a very serious problem happening here in this Hotel (Kedareswar Bread and Breakfast hotel near ChoukiGhat). I visited there on 12.02.2025 and stayed for 3 days. This place is run by a greedy, rude, ill mannered racist guy who has no respect for Indians. He loves to entertain foreigners only as according to him they have money. And the room costed high. According to the owner: 1. Foreigners give good tip to the hotel-boys. I don’t understand why the owner doesn’t pay well enough salary to the workers, so the hotel-boys don’t have to rely on the tips. 2. Foreigners are punctual. Because they come to Varanasi for relaxation. And according to the owner, they check-out early. So, if you are an Indian, you are definitely not punctual according to him. We visited Varanasi at Kumbh- Mela time & to visit Vishwanath we chose the night time because of less crowd and reached hotel around 2 at night. Because we came back late, the owner got offended as he was sleeping. The owners don’t like to listen to any request of you are an Indian. 3rd day we were forcefully shifted to a smelly room by the way. In our time of staying, we wanted to shift to a better hotel with better service and lesser price. The manager made a request to us not to leave and we kept that and we faced these situations. I request to you all whoever is reading my comments, *don’t stay at this hotel*. We were two women and they denied to help. Even when we asked for breakfast (even tea only), they ignored it completely, whereas, we saw they were putting the table for foreigners only. These people are racist. They don’t care what is your purpose or for what reason you came here, don’t expect help. There are other hotels just beside this place, go there. Less in price. Better in accommodation with better behaviour.

This was one of my favorite places to stay while traveling in India. Mintu and Pintu were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I felt safe as a female traveler and very welcome. The cleanliness was superb, probably one of the cleanest hotels that I saw in my two months of traveling. I stayed in the deluxe room with a friend, it didn’t have a view but looked to have been recently renovated and was very comfortable. Other bonuses, they helped arrange our airport taxi when we left, and served breakfast to order on the rooftop terrace. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I can’t recommend it enough for future guests.

The best place to stay in Varanasi. If you want a little bit of peace with a nice view in Ganges river, then this is the place. The staff and the host are very polite and helpful giving you information about Varanasi.

We had a mesmerizing view of Ganga ji from our private balcony, but coasted about 4k/night. The room is small, but very clean linens, comfortable beds, and with clean bath with 24 hr hot wayer!
