Keells - Union Place

Walked..then took tuk tuk to search Cargills..store which showed only 9 mins walking but it was not so...we wanted to buy avocado powder and palms gur..so Finland up at keels..store was smooth to see but small..just got our palm jaggery and back to the hotel

Very Poor Customer Service – Union Place Keells Food Court I am a regular customer of Keells food courts across Sri Lanka. My experience at the **Union Place branch** last Friday around **7:30 PM** was very disappointing. I bought **cheese pasta** and asked the cashier for a spoon. She said **spoons are not given to customers**. When I told her that other Keells outlets do provide spoons, she then said that **spoons were finished**. However, the spoons were **not out of stock**. I clearly saw **many wooden spoons available inside the store**, just not placed at the counter. If the staff or manager cared about customer service, they could have easily taken one and given it to customers. I noticed several other customers facing the same issue. This shows poor staff attitude and lack of proper customer service at this branch. This experience does not meet the standards expected from Keells. Management should seriously look into this issue.

I ordered a Chicken Yellow Rice from Keells - Union Place through PickMe app. The original price was LKR 600, but I got a LKR 300 discount, and the total cost including delivery was only LKR 500. The food was a bit spicy, but very tasty and had a really nice aroma. It was perfect for lunch really worth for the price. I’d definitely recommend everyone to give it a try!

Worse Keells ever so far in Sri Lanka. Security guy thinks 100 times to greet and open the door. Cashiers are not helping out at least to bag the items. Not asking for the rewards number till we force them to put it on. Ungrateful. No manners. Not trained at all.

There are a lot of products that are less than usual. There is nothing new coming in. I have been looking for Parachu shampoo for a while, but it is not in this Kielce store. The skin side is a little lacking. It seems like new ones are not coming in.

I think this place is unique. I visited the store twice. First to buy some fruit and snacks and then to buy food for dinner. I found the food here fresh and comparatively cheaper than other restaurants in the area. The store is spacious and has a variety catering to the needs of all types of customers. I saw many business and office workers thronging to the store to buy fresh food and other items. Very nice experience.

Yesterday, I visited Union Place Keells to purchase some bakery items and had a very disappointing experience at the bakery/food corner cashier. While paying for the bakery items, I politely asked the cashier whether there were any hot beverages available. She did not pay attention to me and continued chatting with her coworkers. I asked again, but she showed no interest and instead asked another coworker to answer my question… even though she was standing right in front of me at the bakery counter. It was surprising that a bakery cashier did not seem to know whether hot beverages were available. This was a very disappointing moment and reflects poor customer service at the food corner. I hope Keells will improve staff attentiveness and professionalism.
