Keenan's Hotel Bar & Restaurant

Popped in for a family lunch and was delighted with the experience. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Staff were brilliant and attentive. Service was prompt and when we needed more chips/drinks they brought them out straight away. Would definitely go back. Very picturesque spot beside the Shannon too.

Booked a room here as was visiting area. Room was spotless, cosy and inviting. Bed very comfortable, with ensuite.and tea coffee making. They have a formal restaurant and gastro pub, both of which were full on Saturday evening, but was accommodated nonetheless. Menu was varied and had the haddock, which was lovely and fresh. Service was efficient. Breakfast in morning was super, lovely host too, I went for full Irish but you could choose many different options. Checkout at 11.30. Family run spot and a credit too them Lakeside setting also, so if you are visiting the area or stopping for the night, this is the place.

My wife and I stayed in a really comfortable room looking out on the river. Quiet, super clean and well-furnished room with a very comfortable bed.||We had dinner that evening at a comfortable fireside table in the cosy lounge which was so welcome as we arrived on a cold autumn night outside. The food was tasty, hot and home-cooked with a good range of choices and fresh ingredients.||Staff at check-in, check-out and throughout our stay could not have been more friendly. Service was quick, efficient and delivered with a smile.||A cooked breakfast to order, as well as a good range of continental offerings, was also provided with friendly good service. ||The whole stay made our trip west very enjoyable.||Overall 10 out of 10.||A real credit to Barry and Annette and David Keenan and their super colleagues.

Lovely family run and friendly hotel. Rooms very well equipped and cosy. Food in the restaurant was varied and delicious. There was a great selection for continental breakfast and the full Irish really left you full. Will definitely return and happily recommend to anyone wanting somewhere special to stay.

Recently visited Keenans for family christening and stayed. Absolutely fabulous place to stay. Food was fantastic, service was faultless and staff could not do enough for us. Room was lovely and super comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Cannot recommend Keenans highly enough and will definitely be back.

Absolute gem in the middle of Ireland. Barry and staff totally superb people. Rooms fantastic, food lovely. Great spot. Highly recommend. On way from north to south, great stopover. We'll certainly be returning to this amazing little place.

As always we really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, especially Lisa and Agnes. Breakfast was delicious, we loved the homemade jams and granola. We also ate in the bar and as usual everything was delicious , especially the vanilla poached pear salad . Also the sticky toffee pudding was perfect.

The most perfect plate of food I’ve had in a long time. Braised beef to perfection. Red wine jus to die for. Creamy buttery mash and veggies with just the right amount of bite. Delicious. Excellent service and beautiful cozy interior.
