Beautiful crater lakes. Smells little bit on sulfur. The path to lakes it is very easy and it need 15-20 minutes to reach from parking lot. You don't need a guid, very easy. Ticket price is 150k per person

Opening hours: 6am to 10am - don’t go for sunrise!☀️ The best time is to visit right before they close, since the colors in the lakes are prettier when the sun shines into the lakes. Our driver didn’t know that the gates are closed before 6am, so you can’t watch the sunset on the top

Very nice place, however the price is too much, 150.000rp. And its only opened from 6 till 10 am but there is no point of rushing because the sunrise is gone before 6 and its very cold, also was cloudy before 7 am but maybe not always. Check the weather before and the time of the sunrise online, because it is only nice with the sunny weather. Have a good vulcano trip and dont be sacred of going behond the limits, where is says "do not cross" because there is the real fun, if you fall inside its ok we all go on that direction, the how is not important.

Gorgeous craters. The volcanos are currently active so you can only enter between 6-10am and one viewpoint is closed off but it’s still worth visiting. We arrived for 6am and there was a short queue at the gate, you will see the sunrise on your drive but not at the craters. Most of the shadow on the lake was gone by 8:30am. The price for tourists in the week is 150k, it’s a shame so many reviews mark the landmark down for this because they will have travelled all the way to ende/moni for this as it’s the main attraction?

We woke up at 4 AM and rode our motorbike in freezing coldness for about 45 minutes from downtown Moni to get there. The trail to the peak where you can observe all three lakes is very clear. All you need is flashlight, and in our case, we just used our cellphone. The idea is to catch the glorious sunrise which we did not get that morning. Understandable because we came at the closing end of the rainy season. It's still worth doing for the greater wow moment in seeing the lakes slowly unravel before your eyes. In pitch darkness, you have no idea about the scale of the place, but then you gradually realize the sheer magnitude of the crater lakes. As the birds start chirping in the background, you are presented with a real life cinematic experience that will long last in your memory.

Entrance for the national park is 150k per person and 5k for parking a motorbike. The road up the mountain is very good and there are some nice views. From the parking lot you can walk up the stairs right away. It's not far until the craters and the view is amazing. We went early in the morning on wednesday and it wasn't crowded. There are monkeys in the park aswell so watch your stuff.

Really good experience. Possible to enter for free, just need to be a little smart... not because I don't like to pay but because it is ridiculous the surcharge... 5000 for local x30 for tourists... so I've got my way to fix it. Really kind the guy selling coffe on the top of the view point, Fred. He wakes up every day at 3am to prepare his little section and sell cheap coffe and more. He sleeps outside on a garden close to the carpark owned by his family, he feels very very cold every night but his life is what it is... he "likes" it... His family is olso making food down to the carpark market so go and say hi to them, very kind as well! Please support them they give you more than what they have just becouse they are so kind. PLEASE support them, he is never waiting standing and pushing you to buy something , he spends most opockets.f the time cleaning and collecting rubbish leaved by duck head tourists - FOR FREE - he doesn't work for or with the tickets company, wich is disgusting. They don't have even 0,5% of the entry ticket going in their pockets.
