Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center

"Set in Sanlitun, a neighborhood with bars and the world’s largest Adidas store, this Cubist glass edifice is "a stunning building" by Japanese avant-garde architect Kengo Kuma. Loft-style rooms have high ceilings, natural light, and heated hardwood floors; spa-inspired bathrooms have oak soaking tubs. Sureno’s wood-burning oven turns out Mediterranean dishes. Chinese DJs headline at Punk."

The price/quality of this Hotel is pretty good. All services are of high standards. Staff is supportive anytime. The building and the connected shopping center is a bit old style but well maintained. Indeed for myself for some reason it was nice that not too much is changed in the complex as it recall nice 25 years ago memories with my dad. Nearby located to the metro entrance , easily connected to airport and railway station.

First time in Beijing and the Kempinski is a solid choice if you are a GHA Discover Platinum Member. Got a nice room upgrade and mini bar was also complimentary. There is a train station very close to the hotel and the tourists sites are very easy to reach. It's also a quick taxi ride to the airport. Well equipped gym and there's also an indoor pool. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I ever come back.

I love staying here when I visit Beijing! The hotel is located in a beautiful area, right along the river with walkable shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and I love the bathtub! The staff at the front desk is always super helpful- there are plenty of people who speak English and who could help me. There are a couple of restaurants- the buffet has a great selection especially for breakfast. There is a great little pastry and coffee shop and deli. Love it here!

Grand ol’ dame of a hotel. Built in 1999 and on a grand scale with all the facilities you would expect of a five star hotel. It does feel a little dated in some aspects, but that aspect is made up for by the space, gracious relaxed feel which is very rare in newer five star hotels in Beijing. My room too is always choose the river view rooms. Nice view and sun set oover the city. Two great gyms, the 2nd larger one is in the basement of the adjacent Kempinski Apt building. Overall this is my go to recommendation for many guests to Beijing. Next to Lone 10 subway and easy access to AirPort Express.

This hotel hosted an event that I attended in May 2025. ||I was given a complimentary upgrade which was a nice touch and it was a lovely room, really spacious, modern and finished to a really high standard. It made for a really comfortable stay. ||Breakfast was impressive with lots of high quality options for people of all different counties and diets. Lunch buffets however were even better! So many different types of meats, salads, seafoods. ||The hotel is a large complex also with other bars and restaurants, so again lots of choice. ||Location was ideal: by a small river which was picturesque and had more bars and restaurants alongside it. It was also 12 miles to the airport. ||Next time in Beijing i would definitely like to stay here again.

I have been a guest of this hotel for so many times I can't remember how often I've been here. The service is great, this time I checked in with Winni, she was very helpful as are all staff members. Breakfast is great, Rain is very helpful, professional and kind and he's a great asset to the hotel. I will be back.

Love this place. It's close enopugh to the airport that you generally miss the most traffic congested roads in Beijing getting there. Great breakfast, lovely room. For what you get the price is pretty good too.

My only problem with this hotel its location, 40 mins to the center with subway, walking not an option, and with the traffic of this city going there by taxi would be at least 25 mins. + wonderful breakfast + gym was nice with a good view + beautiful pool - the staff might not know good English, especially during the breakfast
