"It’s a behemoth in size, but the Grand Hotel Cancún managed by Kempinski (formerly the Ritz-Carlton) is a cocoon in terms of personalization and comforts. The hotel fronts 1,200 feet of white sand beach right in the heart of Cancún’s Hotel Zone. The six dining outlets include two award-winning restaurants, the recently renovated Mexican-Mediterranean Fantino and the Club Grill, which has a champagne bar and live jazz every night. At D-Lounge, you can sip more than 100 varieties of tequila. All of the rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and ocean views. Of course there are the expected amenities, like a kids’ club and the Kayantá Spa, which has custom treatments inspired by ancient Mayan healing rituals."

Amazing hotel with 5 star food and 10 star service.|They had plenty of variety of restaurants and despite hurricane beryl, they pulled out all the stops to ensure guests were safe, well fed with rotating menu, and entertained. In their ballrooms they had beds set up for those not wanting to sleep in rooms with balconies due to the howling and tropical cyclone but also set up games. We almost didn't check in due to the chaos of the weather but decided to try to make the best of our two night stay and was the best decision thanks to this amazing and opulent hotel. Service second to none and have stayed at plenty of 5 star hotels in the world. The kids also loved the kids menu and the hospitality. Our 7th floor seafront view was amazing too!

I visited the Kempinski Cancun for my 35th birthday and cannot gush enough about the hotel, the Club Level, and the staff. From Evelin at the Club Desk, the servers throughout the club, and Cesar the bellman, everyone is beyond exceptional. The Club Level has attained the level of service where your needs are anticipated, making vacation as relaxing as possible for you. I truly sink into relaxation here. ||||The Club Level food offerings have remained consistent and I'm forever grateful for their vegetarian options. Cocktails are now available only from 5-8pm, but they are still serving high-quality, delicious margaritas among other offerings. ||||Apart from the amazing staff, I enjoy the timeless elegance of this resort and how serene it is compared to most other hotel zone options. It is impeccably clean and comfortable.||||However, I do believe the bathrooms are more than ready for a refresh. The shower heads are old, and water pressure canot be adjusted. Furthermore, the shower head does not have a handheld option either, making the shower experience pretty lackluster. The toiletries are also not of the same high quality as when it was the Ritz. These few details make the bathroom experience a lot less luxurious than you can get at other hotels in the other. While the timelessness of this resort is appreciated, I do believe updating the shower experience and toiletries would make the Kempinski truly feel like a 5-diamond hotel from top to bottom.||||Can't wait to be back!

This resort is absolutely stunning and the staff is so kind and very caring . The staff uniforms were extremely professional with a K lapel (I really wanted one) the location was perfect. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The food at all of the restaurants were delicious and the staff in the dining area were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet was the absolute best. The beach was beautiful and very relaxing. Also the pool is huge and relaxing and the pool staff were great also. I truly enjoyed every moment here.

Overall, it is a very good hotel to stay at. We had a lovely experience. Service quality was outclass except the fact where the valet demanded for tips. I spoke to the customer services about it and she said that’s the culture. I am not against giving tips and always tip who deserves tips. However, they are not demanded and earned. That experience was a little off but otherwise it is a good standard hotel with very good service, room quality and breakfast. Location is awesome with beach access.

It must have been a great Hotel in the 90´s, but those days are over...you can feel the decadence in the air. Still, you can see some sumptuousness, probably from the former Ritz Carlton, in the marble wc´s, rooms size, etc...|Location is good, breakfast above average, and service trying hard to please. Swimming pool area is very nice, kids club is a joke.|Some renewal would do good...Could be a choice if you find a good rate.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and we were blown away by the service and hospitality here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, and we felt pampered from the moment we stepped inside to the moment we checked out. Antonio was a fantastic concierge, and helped us get some great reservations for our dinners as we celebrated. Paul and Diego at the front desk were also super helpful with all of our questions, and everyone who worked at the beach and cafe were extremely friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend the breakfast buffet as well! The next time we come to Cancun we will definitely be staying here again! The hotel also has great high speed wifi, I did a speed test in the lobby as we were checking in.

Overall, the property is mediocre at best. Very outdated. Amenities are non existent. You don’t get access to the infinity pool advertised, food abysmal and no activities catered towards children. Service is okay but should be exceptional. The first night the alarm was turned on at 6 am in the room waking up my young baby. You have to pay for cabanas which is absurd since the pricing is absurd. Sure, you come to a nice resort so you expect to pay to dollar for good food but the food was not good either. One night there was an event hosted outside with loud music. If it’s not an event for guests, it is an inconvenience for others with little kids. The only good thing was the view from the room but traveling with family and kids that is not what we went to enjoy. Overall, if you’re used to staying at a luxurious resort, this isn’t the right place.

This hotel is elegant and provides great service. The food was fresh and pretty good. Our stay was pleasant, and the location was perfect. Easily walk to shops and restaurants. The pool was lovely, and the view ocean and access to the ocean was one of my favorite things about this place, as well as the top-notch service and the best shower ever! If I had to complain about anything, it would be the bed. The bed was a bit hard, but the pillows were perfect, so that helped a bit.
