I had a great stay here! The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with strong air conditioning and reliable WiFi. The pool was well-kept and perfect for relaxing after a long day. Free parking was a plus, and check-in was quick and friendly. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s a solid mid-range option that offers great value. It’s especially convenient if you're planning a fishing trip—just a 2-minute drive to the docks. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, affordable, and well-located place to stay.

My family and I love this hotel! The employees are super nice & welcoming & helpful. The back patio & pool area is clean & beautiful! One thing I'd suggest, is having additional AC units in the bedrooms, especially in the 2 bedroom apartment. The AC was in the living room, but the bedroom got very hot. A ceiling fan in each bedroom would also be very helpful. It was unfortunate that Castaways wasn't open during our recent stay because we really wanted to try their food but hopefully next time. Thanks again!

We had a great time, the two bedroom cottage worked out great for the four of us. If it hadn't been raining, we would have really sat around by the pool and had a good time. Place was clean, well run and yet private. Best use of the patio area I have seen, made it very homey and comfortable to hang out. Would stay here again.

Kenny’s is a very nice and special motel type accommodation with a unique almost “oriental” ambiance. We enjoyed a clean, dog friendly room with a nice deck. We did not use the outdoor pool, but it and all the outdoor areas appeared well maintained. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

KTI is a great and comfortable inn. This is our second visit and we had no issues either time. The check-in was smooth and the room was updated and the bedding was very upgraded, which is rare these days. We had requested a specific room in advance and they were able to accommodate that request, which was appreciated. We brought our two dogs, so this property works great for us. Our dogs really like ‘Josie’, the owners’ super welcoming dog. The pool is inviting as well as the areas which encourage meditation. The staff includes Jeannette in housekeeping who has apparently been there for 30 years, she is very cordial and goes out of her way to interact with guests. It will be a great day when their restaurant re-opens. There are several restaurants within walking distance, we enjoyed Salivars.

Pleasant check in process. When the rooms were ready ahead of the check in time, they alerted us of its availability. The ground decor is very warm and welcoming. We took advantage of the property. Rooms were pretty standard but could not be beat for the price. We'll be back.

We got the apartment because we brought the dogs, which is why I booked it. Very clean and updated. The wall of videos was great, now we knew what to do if it rained. We went off season to avoid the crowds. The area was convenient to walk to restaurants and bars which you can bring your dog too. Check in and out easy. The staff was very nice. The ground were not quite ready for the big start to summer weekend coming up but still very cute and well manicured

Google
I truly enjoyed my stay at Kenny's. It went far above my expectations. I had a double queen bed on the first floor, opposite the very pretty garden area and the meditation gazebo. I didn't use it, but the heated pool was also right there. The room was immaculate. WIFI and Tv worked great, but I had no cell service, but that's due to my provider T-Mobile not really having service in that area. Walking distance to fine dining, easy casual dining, Tony's Market, a small beach area, Goldberg's Bagels and more. Just a five minute drive into town. The staff was great and visits from Josie (the resident pooch) was a plus. Would definitely stay again. The room I had only had a small fridge, but I brought my own mini coffee pot! They have coffee in the lobby for guests. The apartment style rooms have full kitchens and there is a barbecue in the garden for guests to use!

Yelp
Nice affordable Dog friendly place to stay. We book a regular room because we mostly will be outside. In September, the weather isn't too hot and because it's out of season, everything seemed to be good enough, I can enjoy the garden and pool as much as I want. Our regular room is okay, not many amenities. You must check what they will offer you in the room before you book it. I check and prepare everything I need to use that they don't have. The room is small so one AC is good and sometimes we have to turn it off because it is too cold. The motel has great garden spaces, the garden around the pool and the back garden that decorate with Budda statue, beautiful painting and calm music. It was raining during the stay, so they put carpet all over the walkway, so it is wet. Some water drops from the second-floor balcony. And the worst part is next door put his pants outside and smell is TERRIBLE! My dog is freak out during the night because the second floor keep running around and it is very loud. The reception and housekeeper are nice. Somehow my phone has no connection, so I mostly use the place Wi-Fi instead. Overall, I couldn't complain too much because the price we get is good for the pet friendly place to stay in Montauk. If you do the research and compare your options of the place you want to stay, I believe you won't get so much of disappointment.

Yelp
Good location for sure and pretty comfortable beds. Close to many sights and restaurants. The onsite pool was nice with some nice areas to sit. There were definitely a lot of room for improvement however. There was only one AC in the livingroom but we booked a two bedrooms apartment. We were all hot in the rooms at night with the doors closed. Only one room had black out shades. We booked an apartment with a sofa bed in the livingroom and there was no blackout shade there either. It made sleeping in hard for sure with all the light. There was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee. With the priced we paid, any coffee inside the room would be appreciated. Also there was no hair dryer as advertised. Also the table TV was hard to work with. Otherwise, good location again and easy check in and check out. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
Really unique atmosphere in a perfect location! Close to the marina and about a 5 minute drive to town. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and just loved it! Room was clean and spacious with a mini fridge which was great! The grounds of the motel were pristine with really cute eclectic touches like flower tables and the zen gazebo. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Yelp
We had a great stay at Kenny's Tipperary Inn. We were a group of girls staying in the two bedroom apartment. This included one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with a queen beed, and a living room with a futon + a kitchen area. This was about $835 a night total including tax. Kenny's is in Montauk in a great location - there were some places walking distance (E.g., TT's, Grey Lady, Lynn's Hula Hut) and the other places we went in Montauk were about 10-15 minute drive away. The pool was nice and clean and the apartment seemed to have been updated recently and was also clean. I'm giving this 5 stars with the caveat of this is what was in our price point in Montauk. It's still a motel/airbnb type vibe, rather than a nice fancy hotel, but it went above our expectations and we would stay again!

Yelp
Be careful staying here in the off season. My son and his girlfriend booked 2 nights here a few days ago and ended up calling the police because someone was trying to get into their room. Shining a flashlight and trying to open the door repeatedly until the police finally came and they packed their bags and left. Completely unsafe, ZERO security and desolate. The only saving grace is that the owner did respond quickly to my email and did refund one nights stay which showed they do have integrity. What an awful way to end a trip but the motel did try to make amends.

Yelp
Read their posting: "Quality," "well maintained" is all b*llsh*t. If there is ANYPLACE within 50 miles, go there instead. This place is VERY poorly maintained, in disgusting condition, staff are snarly, and they charge $650/night for a seedy run-down motel room!?! Have a look a the photos. This is from July 2021. The owners should go to prison. The advertising is false. This place is trashed and they don't care because of high demand.. They charge $650 for a room that should be $39. I asked for, and finally received a partial refund. DO NOT STAY THERE. You have been warned.

Yelp
Great place to stay - especially if you travel with your pups. Very nice, well-appointed room right by the Harbour. The staircase and lighting coukd use a little work which is why I didn't give all five stars.

Yelp
Bottom feeder POS Owners who will lie and rob you out of a cancellation return fee. Hotel is a dump also dirty and smelled musty and moldy. Bathroom light did not work and place is nothing like the pictures would have you believe. STAY AWAY!!!

Yelp
This was a really nice find. It's off the beaten path, but not far from some sea food restaurants and the marina. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were nice. It's certainly not a Hyatt, but you're not paying those prices either. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so I was happy.

Yelp
The people here are very nice but the decor is very strange. There was a JUUL pod in our room when I arrived and there was no toiletries except these weird ketchup pouches that had shampoo in them instead of ketchup. There was a dead moth splattered on my pillow which is fine but like not ideal.

Yelp
Great establishment. Pool was clean and cool. Front desk was helpful and attentive. I liked the place so much that I decided to stay another night! -sk

Yelp
Recently stayed here for a family wedding. We booked 4 rooms on the first floor. Old, filthy, moldy, digusting, is the only way to describe, this DUMP! The towels were stained, we were afraid to walk on the carpeting bare footed, the furniture was old and stained, old shirt hangers obviously left by former customer, a broken shower, broken electrical sockets, no hair dryer, iron or ironing board, and a maid that barely made the beds and called the room cleaned. Do yourself a Huge favor and avoid this establishment at all cost! Absolutely Gross!

Yelp
I stayed at Kenny's the last weekend of July. Everything from the check in through the stay to the check out time was amazing. The staff at the hotel is extremely helpful (they provided us with tips on restaurants and let us store our bags with the front desk before leaving). I booked a 2 bedroom suite which was perfect with an equipped kitchen. The only regret I have is not using the pool due to lack of time. The pool area seems relaxing with lounge chairs, palm trees and there is even an area with a small grill. I'll definitely be staying here in the future.

Yelp
ants. that's all i'm saying. ants everywhere. do not stay unless you truly want a shitty night sleep or don't care about your mental health either. helllllll no. this was the reason for a part of the ant problem we had

Yelp
A long story, that is basically a short comment. ------- World class customer service and some smart business and tourism veterans at this spot!! You will just have to trust me as a Lifetime Platinum Elite with Marriott brands and over 800 nights with just them since 1983 (so sad to type this (grimace)) I have been in a LOT of travel and hotel situations. This one involved my wife's troupe. They self served on a travel portal (i don't want to name the aggregator site) and the troupe leaders clicked their brains out and got overcharged and incurred up front charges that were NOT expected or communicated via the ATM card and it drove their bank account negative incurring huge fees from their bank (no naming but major bank) that further drove them negative and even MORE fees all because their cookie funding had not come in. Niko, Eddie, Toni and all were hugely professional, helpful, and understanding and took awesome and financially compelling steps to help and assist these girls and their not for profit organization. They are excited to be coming there in July --- thanks to the staff at the Tipperary Inn!!!! They are in a VERY small group of hotels I have given 5 stars...............and I haven't even stayed there yet????? Just based on customer/travel services. ~Thomas~

Yelp
Fantastic location. Clean and well managed. I like to stay here when there isn't enough room on the boat. Highly recommend it but be sure to make reservations in advance. They fill up for the summer months!

Yelp
We were really disappointed with this place. Honestly, it was a dump. The decor was dreary, dated and depressing. There were corduroy fabric throw pillows on the bed which seems super unsanitary so I threw them on the floor. The bathroom was tiny and gross, with a sink outside the toilet/shower area. There was a large fridge but no coffeemaker. the carpet was worn and the wallpaper and ceiling paint was peeling. The worst part was that it was extremely dark with no natural light. There were no windows, and the glass on the front and back doors (which were covered with ugly dated looking sheer drapes) was frosted so you couldn't even see out. Upstairs rooms had a little balcony, but we were on the first floor, so no outdoor space. We had a poolside room, which didn't do us much good in the winter. Maybe in the summer it would be better. I think it was really dusty because I had terrible allergies overnight. Thankfully we only stayed one night. I am really confused because there are many good reviews on TripAdvisor. I suspect that the owners ask their friends to write reviews because many of these are first time reviewers. Possibly also there are some renovated rooms, although we certainly didn't have one. My husband had booked this place on Expedia, so maybe they give the bad rooms to the third party booking sites. The bed was pretty comfortable but that was about it. Should have taken photos but frankly I was too depressed. Thankfully we were only there for one night.

Yelp
A home away from home in Montauk. The host and staff are really friendly, and made us feel like we were old friends. If you need a place off the beaten path, stay here. It's quiet and serene, which is what I was looking for.... and it's pet-friendly!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I booked this place due to limited availability & it's moderate price in the area with last minute plans. Well let me tell you about this hidden gem! From the moment we checked in (staff & room) to our stay there (fire pits & pool) & meeting the wonderful owner white hanging on the property. The location was perfect within walking or driving to anything you need. We loved it so much, we are planning to come back next month! Great find!
google avatar

Yelp
Waited until the last minute to book an extended stay, so we took what we could get. The room/efficiency we had was generally run down - nothing horrible - broken exhaust fan in bathroom, broken toilet lid, some ants, railings around the inn need a paint job and some repair. Rooms should be nicer, regardless of demand, if you are going to charge top dollar. Nice pool and outdoor area though. Front desk and housecleaning folks are very, very nice and very helpful. The lesson - book far, far in advance when heading to Montauk.

Yelp
Here's the thing: MTK is not the getaway from the tragically hip urbanites it once was. Used to be that they would flock to the Hamptons and MTK was left pristine from pricks. Now? Hmmmmm notsomuch. But those in the know avoid the ridiculous posers and appreciate the beautiful small town for what it is: unbelievably unspoiled beach, bay, biking, running, fresh from the boat seafood and a place to relax and unwind in this soothing paradise. Hadn't been to Kenny's in 15 years, it is a small, rustic inn steps away from West Lake Marinas/Docks and some of the finest food (Salivar's, The Dock, Liar's, Hula Hut, West Lake Fish House, Gosman's, Swallow East) and drink in town. It is not fancy. Our one bedroom suite had a gigantic kitchen/den dishwasher, granite countertops full sized fridge and a large flat screen (and another in King BR) There was also a seating area and a pull out couch if you had an extra guest. It was nice to be able to cook a quick pre run Breakkie or snack and have everything necessary to do so already there. The BR was large enough, bed was dream inducing and while the bathroom was tiny, my BF joked the walk in closet was larger than most Studio Apts in the city. The patio in front of each room had a table and chairs, and these or the Zen Garden were the scene of sunset Champs and whispered sweet nothings. The pool was not opening for a few more days, but we were steps from the ocean/Bay/Sound...who needed a pool? Jamie at the Front Desk was charming and helpful, always greeting with a smile. His tips for pubbin & grubbin were spot on. Honestly, it is not the fanciest place to stay, but we didn't go to "The End" to stay in our room. We went to soak up as much natural beauty and relaxation as possible and Kenny's helped us accomplish that mission. Manucci's Restaurant on property served up one of the largest Chicken Parms I've ever seen (another review) and has a full bar and breakfast buffet. Not only would I recommend staying here, I plan to again ASAP. If it is doable, we'll see you during my next trip home in a few months. You can spend a helluva a lot more $$$ on lodging, but why?! Leave Star Island to the invaders, we'll take West Lake. Such a fan!

M H.

Yelp
If I could give this Inn a zero, I would. I cancelled 5 rooms reserved for a family wedding that had to be cancelled due to Covid 19. The reservations were for May 15th for one night. We cancelled the reservations on March 31st and received a refund for three of the five rooms after several phone calls. We still HAVE NOT received a refund for the two remaining rooms. The hotel is telling Expedia they were non-cancellable reservations which is NOT the truth. I have an email from the hotel indicating their cancellation policy is 21 days. I cancelled 45 days in advance and am still dealing with this mess close to five months later! BEWARE - be very cautious booking a room with this hotel!

Yelp
I have to admit something embarrassing here. I have been fascinated by Montauk ever since seeing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Yes, those words "Meet me in Montauk" really stuck with me and made me say, "Yes, let me go meet you in Montauk and see how it is." So when I was given the job of watching my parents' car for 2 weeks I decided to pack up the boyfriend and drive out to Montauk. Just to see what all the fuss is about. Well, we found MANY places that explained what all the fuss was about. The Tipperary Inn was not one of them. It was fine enough for an impromptu overnight in Montauk but nothing I would feel the need to do again. They had someone filling in for the real manager and she didn't know how to swipe a credit card. Then someone else came and couldn't figure out how to swipe my card either. Finally they requested that I take the cash out for the stay. That did not fill me with joy but it was virtually the only room available in the whole town. The room was fine. Pretty spacious, not that expensive, little balcony thing that looked onto the parking lot. But the door never felt like it really locked, there was a very long window with no curtain right above the bed and the TV had no channels except for a few fuzzy ones. Meh. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could but it was just OKAY. If you can stay somewhere else...do it. But if you're in a bind this place is fine.

Yelp
Rooms were clean. Plenty of outdoor seating. Well worth it. For the $ I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised

Yelp
Kenny's is the best place to nest in Montauk...I like Montauk in winter when there's NObody around except you, the chilly wind, the fog horn, the gulls, the Montauk Monster, and the actual real-life locals; I can't stand the crowds of Manhattanites (a large majority of the humans in the town are of this variety during summer) when I'm literally a hundred+ miles from Manhattan, and intentionally blew thru the Hamptons in order to not be in the Hamptons... Anyway, at Kenny's you'll be sheltered from any of the obnoxious Nouveau Riche, and the owners of this fine Inn are a complete pleasure, with the rooms being fantastic and comfortable. If you positively absolutely MUST submit yourself and any loved ones to Montauk during the summer, try and grab a room here as the prices are also excellent.
google avatar

Nicole N.

Yelp
If you're looking for an affordable place to stay in Montauk this is a wonderful choice. I stayed here with my boyfriend and another couple in a lovely apartment setup. The rooms were clean, cozy and the pool is a major bonus. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. What they have done with the space is quite impressive and I can't wait to go back. Another note is that they even accept dogs. Gotta love a puppy friendly spot!
google avatar

Sharon C.

Yelp
Stayed at this place last month and had a great experience. Walking distance to restaurants with good food. The town is not walking distance however its a short car ride. It has everything you need plus a pretty patio and pool. Only negative is that it is not right next to the ocean however it is ALOT cheaper than those places that are:). Shout out to the dudes at the front desk, they go above and beyond!!

Mary G.

Yelp
Staying in a 2 bedroom space. Very shabby and worn. Not what I expected for 600 dollars a night. Kitchenette is the only picture that was true. Furniture in living room is worn and has a bad odor. Staying on first floor and is very loud. Would not recommend.

Yelp
We love this place ED KENNY and staff is extremely welcoming and so at home from home . Place is very relaxing, clean rooms , tiki feel by pool and surroundings. Beach is a 5 minute drive shopping and dining is a walk away made many trips here and many memories with family and friends

Yelp
If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. It is DISGUSTING! There are ants EVERYWHERE! Ants in the bed, the bedroom, the kitchen, the cabinets...everywhere. They put ant traps all over the room but clearly they aren't working. We had to shake hundreds of ants out of our clothes and sleep on the couch because there were ants all over the bed. Not only are there ants, the bathroom door is an EXTREME fire hazard. If you close the bathroom door, it does not open unless someone is on the outside to help pry it open. The blow dryer is melted, the air conditioning doesn't work, and the 24 hour emergency number is certainly not 24 hours. We called several times throughout the night and nobody answered. When we called in the morning, we got hung up on. We went to the front desk and they told us to come back when the "manager decides to wake up and show up". We ended up leaving a day earlier and spending more money on another hotel room. On our way out, one of the cleaning ladies was chugging a bottle of wine. We waited all day for the owner to get in contact with us, so we decided to go back in person. The owner immediately began SCREAMING at us, that it is our fault that there was ants and it is "montauk heat". We had at least a 15 minute screaming match in front of many customers. He was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. He refused to give us a refund for both nights and charged us because we were complaining. When we expressed to him that we had to physically shake ants out of our clothes, he mocked us and claimed we were lying. The owner got right into our face and started pointing his finger our faces. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

Heidi V.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this hotel. For over $600 a night I expected a much nicer hotel. The pool is FREEZING and the showers did not have ANY hot water. Just took an ice cold shower after attempting to get in the ice cold pool. Also, the walls and ceilings are paper thin so we heard everyone in the hotel walking around and opening their doors at all hours of the night and day (which woke us up multiple times). There was a bunch of black hair in the shower and on the "clean" towels. Myself and my boyfriend are both blonde...To top it all off, the room has less amenities than a motel 6. We will never return to this overpriced garbage hotel. You can find a much nicer place to stay for less money that's actually on the beach.

Nicole C.

Yelp
This place does not even deserve one star. It is absolutely awful. Our room was infested with ants everywhere yet the owner did not believe us when we showed him photo proof. The customer service at this motel is beyond horrible and I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Don't even waste your time or money to sleep with ants.
google avatar

Paolo C.

Yelp
This hotel is beyond gross. It's terrible. We kindly asked, given how horrible it is, to at least just pay one night and be let go somewhere decent the second night and they declined. The front door guy was actually nice about it. The manager didn't even speak to us in person. We just got married and this place absolutely ruined our day. I can't even start saying how horrible it is (there's a big hole by our door, it smells like dust everywhere). Really, STAY away. The pool doesn't even work. It's a complete joke.

Michelle L.

Yelp
I love this hotel! The location is perfect, 3-5 min drive to all the hottest spots in Montauk. It is also very close to the town (restaurants, jitney bus stop, train station, etc). The staff is phenomenal! John and Niko really made me feel at home. I loved the room - it is very spacious and well renovated. The AC works great. High ceilings. Super comfy if you are going on a weekend trip with a few of your girl/guy friends! It is also very peaceful. The pool deck is great for laying out. The landscape around the hotel is beautiful - has a garden, bbqs, bonfire pits, etc. The room layout and set up of Kenny's is not claustrophobic whatsoever. I highly recommend this place as it is affordable in comparison to the other inns/hotels in Montauk. Next door to the hotel is Grey Lady ($1 oysters - check it out!) Goldberg's Bagels and a cute Coffee Shop I definitely recommend this hotel for young adults as well as older couples. Thank you again to John for making me feel so at home. He truly is wonderful and so beyond accommodating. The staff including Niko truly makes you feel welcome and I can't thank you enough! I booked myself a room/apartment with my friend(s) for the whole month of July I loved it so much!!! THANK YOU JOHN & NIKO for all of your help! I greatly appreciate it!! :)

Yelp
This is by far the most Zen Place I have been in NY! The pool is awesome the yoga space is perfect and the gardens on the propert are soo beautiful and peaceful. The boys and I loved every minute we spent there.

Yelp
Where do I begin, this place has been around for a long time and yet it does not disappoint when it comes to serve and cleanliness. Seems like every year they add something new to make it look modern and up-to-date. Housekeeping staff is super friendly and attempting. Pool is clean and super refreshing. The BBQ grills always clean and the newly added deck is a real nice touch. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apt which had everything you could ask for stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans, plates and cooking/eating utensils. The couch was a pull out bed so 2 couples and 2 kids in this apt is perfect and priced right. Already planning for next year which will make it 3 yrs in a row. Ed Kenny the owner was a real nice guy to talk to while we sat out by the zen garden/fire pits and enjoyed a late night drink and cigar. Super friendly and openly genuine.

Yelp
I'm giving Kenny's 5 stars because of the kind atmosphere they have created for families here!! The barbecues the tranquil spots on the property the workers can't do enough for you and the owner is beyond warm and kind the rooms are real nice & have been nicely updated

Yelp
We stayed at Kennys Tipperary on June 3 & 4 with my wife and fido. We are so happy we found the Tipperary. Room clean & fresh refrigerator came handy and it is conveniently located. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I went back July 3 for 1night and that's when I met Kenny. Great guy! Our go to place when in Montauk ......

Yelp
Giving a 1 star because there's no option for a ZERO. Went to Kenny's Tipperary after booking a room with hotels.com on Saturday 10/17. Showed up at 7:20pm and asked about our reservation. The guy that answered the door was not nice. Said we missed our opportunity to get the room and that they called to see if we were making it. I never got any call at all. Then he tried to say that the reservation was for Friday not Saturday even though I had proof with an email and he didn't even want to look at it. All he said was IM NOT GIVING YOU A REFUND. I'm convinced that they gave the room to someone else before I was able to get there. Website said check in by 8pm and again I was there at 7:20pm. Completely ridiculous and absolutely no customer service at all. I'm out over $300 and I promise this is not the last that they'll here of me. When I get treated poorly I won't stop until I feel some sort of vindication.

Yelp
The room and the amenities were very nice and enjoyable. What got us shocked was a very late check-in and very early check out. I don't think we will be returning here since we were given only from 4 pm to 10 am to stay. I don't see what would be the reason for it other than lack of cleaning staff. For $250+ a night I think we should at least be given 22-23 hr of stay.

Yelp
I stayed here with a few girlfriends last month and we had an amazing trip, mostly due to the stellar accommodations and five-star service at Kenny's. After fleeing from a bed-bug we discovered at a resort in the next town over, we found Kenny's and they generously made last-minute accommodations for us for the weekend. The staff (especially Nico) is extremely helpful, kind and courteous. You would think you're staying at Disney World with the kind of service you're getting, except you're not stuck walking around with a dinky watch to get into the rooms. The rooms at Kenny's are very cozy and lovely to stay in as well. Kenny's Tipperary Inn turned a weekend that would have been a bedbug fail into a fabulously fun time. I highly recommend anyone staying in Montauk to check out Kenny's.

Yelp
While Montauk has been a bit more discovered, it's still gorgeous and mellow, especially off-season. But I was surprised by how overpriced many places still were in September. We had a very nice stay at Kenny's Tipperary. Found it to be a good value for our impromptu vacation. It's located very near the bay docks, and is an easy bike ride for fantastic sunset views. The room and bed were comfortable and clean - and beautifully quiet. We slept like babies. (A relief from places where people party all night.) A nice pool for a quick dip before a meal. The front desk was very helpful and friendly, both on check-in and when I needed some help after I'd banged up my foot on my bike. Since the stores close earlier out there, so it wasn't possible to get to the drug store - but Mr. Kenny was so friendly and helpful, opened up all sorts of kits and let me pick what I needed.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I decided on a last minute getaway to Montauk on the last weekend in October. We knew it was off season and didn't expect much of a hotel demand so we didn't make reservations. In addition, there was also some uncertainty to our travel plans so we decided to just wing it. We decided on Kenny's based on some positive reviews we read right here.....and that there was an Irish Pub (O'Murphy's Pub - separate review) practically on premise....a match made in heaven. They were out of king sized beds but I can't complain about that since I didn't make a reservation. We settled for a pair of queen sized beds. The rooms were clean and the beds super comfortable. It was a nasty, windy night so we really didn't get to look around the rest of the grounds.

Yelp
I just got married in Montauk and my family stayed at Kenny's Tipperary Inn. My family was very happy with the rooms, the grounds and the pool which they spent a lot of time in since it was very hot. The staff was helpful and very friendly. I would highly recommend!

Yelp
If I could give less than 1 star I would. That's how bad my experience was there. On 4/30/2017 I booked a two night stay at Kenny's Tipperary Inn through booking.com. I submitted my credit card info and paid online assuming both days had been just paid for. On 6/10/2017, the day of check in I got an e mail stating I had been charged $308.68, half the cost of the stay. After closer evaluation I was quite disturbed to find out that they had charged 50% on 4/30/17 and retained my credit card info in their files and charged the remaining 50% on check-in day without my knowledge or consent. I was not on the phone with them when they ran the charge, nor did I get an invoice or receipt after this unauthorized charge had been made. I voiced my displeasure to the office attendant who didn't seem to care less about what amounted to an unauthorized abuse of my financial info. Getting past the fraudulent charge, we checked in on Saturday night 6/10/2017 and we were immediately disgusted by a foul smelling room. A smell I am quite familiar with as a victim of Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene I know the smell of a mold infestation. I soon discovered the carpeting outside the door to the bathroom was soaked as I stepped on it in my socks. Looking into the bathroom my wife and I were horrified to see the bathroom was renovated to be like a locker room. It was an open area, tiled with a toilet in the corner and the shower head dropping down from the ceiling. There is no shower stall, bathtub or anything to keep water from running all over the room and out into the carpeted hallway. Closer inspection of the carpet in front of the bathroom showed clear outlines of stains from previous guests that let water run all over. This was the source of the funky smell and a most definite mold problem under the carpets and probably in the walls. We were not willing to shower there as the conditions were not sanitary at all. Also the toilet would only flush by holding the handle all the way down, pushing tight and holding for 30 seconds until the water flushed out slowly. The place is just disgusting. Besides the offensive smell and filthy conditions, the room had no amenities either. We paid for a King Room, whatever that means. But there was no porch or terrace outside the room, no kitchen, no refrigerator, no pool as they hadn't filled it yet even though Memorial Day starts the summer season and this is supposed to be a summer resort. After spending one night there it felt like we slept under a herd of buffalo as the ceilings are paper thin and the guests above us woke us out of a sound sleep just by entering their room. It literally sounded like stampede over our room. I paid $616.68 for two nights of that? Nope. The next day we decided we had to leave. I complained to the office attendant and he told me there's a 24 hour cancellation policy just to get back 50% and we had past that point of being able to cancel. We left, went to a nearby hotel, paid for another night, got a room with a bay view, a terrace, kitchen, quiet room and most importantly a clean bathroom with no foul odors in the room. We basically abandoned our 2nd night the Kenny's Tipperary Inn and spend more money to get a decent place to stay our second night. To recap, The lack of amenities would alone have left us sorely disappointed but; Fraudulent unauthorized charges to my credit card, foul smelling room, bathroom with broken toilet, no shower stall, water flooding from the bathroom into the carpeted hallway, obvious unchecked mold condition are in my opinion, all together and individually grounds for a full refund. These grievances constitute a breach of contract for a paid customers reasonable expectations for a high priced hotel room in a popular summer resort. This issue is not only causing me to write bad reviews but to also seek full compensation for this disgusting experience through my credit card company and I may well complain to the local County Board of Health. One look at the pictures I took bear me out on this.

Yelp
Just spent a week here. Great location and the rooms were very nice. The service was good also. Nicely located near the dock area so there is plenty to do wothin walking distance.

Yelp
This place is really lovely and the dude at the front desk was very inviting, he even carried my 50 pound suitcase up the stairs to my room on his shoulders! The room is really nice, the bathroom is --- interesting.. and I say that because there's a giant jacuzzi in there which doubles as the shower so you're kinda standing in a Jacuzzi and it's a little awkward to shower in. To get into the tub to shower you have to kinda long-leg it into there so if you have any sort of hips or knee issues I'd suggest not showering... or going somewhere else? Anyway, nice location, a/c was slow to cool down the room but it happened eventually. Nice place and a good price!

Yelp
I have been fortunate to stay at Kenny's Tipperary Inn several times over the last two summers. The hotel is family and pet friendly. Located just walking distance from Gossman's dock, I do not think you will find a hotel with a more courteous staff who remember you from year to year. The owner, Ed Kenny is friendly and kind and will share stories with you of an old Montauk while getting to know you. The grounds are nicely manicured, with beautiful landscaping and a zen garden for morning meditation. There is a lovely pool area, with towels provided by the hotel as well as barbecues and picnic benches just outside the pool area. There are also propane fire pits where you can roast marshmallows or enjoy and evening drink. You are always just a few minute drive from town and the ocean is never more than a few moments away. We cannot wait for our next stay at Kenny's Tipperary Inn.
