We booked a Deluxe Family Room for four people. The price seemed reasonable at first, but several issues became apparent: The room was uncomfortably warm even with the heating turned off, and the air conditioning didn’t work. Loud music started playing through the speakers around 7 a.m., waking everyone up. The prepaid breakfast was not available, and although it was booked for two people, we were charged for four. The room was automatically set to “Do Not Disturb,” so housekeeping couldn’t be requested. The safe didn’t work because it had no batteries. The “rich” continental breakfast was disappointing – no ham/jam/cereals and very limited options(~20 USD for adults). The bathroom had no window and no ventilation system. The “large” bed was only about 180 cm wide, far too narrow for two adults (and a child). As another reviewer mentioned, you have to pay extra for almost everything. Only the room rate itself was acceptable, so two stars. Overall, poor value for money.

This hotel is a bit insane when it comes to pricing You have to pay FOR EVERYTHING. We paid for extra blankets, towels, swimming pool, sauna and kids cafe. What's the point of having facilities if nothing is free? This is not a 5 star hotel. And it's not cheap either. 20 dollars per night for blankets. 50 dollars for swimming pool. 200 dollars to have a BBQ in tents outside. This is just too much especially because this place is super old and smelly and rooms look like they haven't been maintained since 1980s. Food is not good either. There are barely any other food choices around this area so most people just end up eating out of a convenience store. Probably one of the worst '5star' hotels in Korea

This hotel has horribly outdated and badly maintained rooms - worse than most motels. Calling this a 4/5 star “hotel” is a joke. They also try to charge you for everything- extra blankets (which are clearly low quality stuff) cost 22,000 KRW, swimming pools are charged separately between the indoor/outdoor pools, and all other stuff. I heard that this is consistent with the parent company’s philosophy (E-Land). Location is completely isolated without much food options, but the garden is ok and they have some farm animals for kids. So if you are paying a motel price - I think it’s ok. Avoid if not.

Room too cramped. Who puts a 6 inch step 3 ft inside the door? Stupidity. Bathroom too cramped. Toilet right next to the wall, much too close for comfort. Air conditioning not reducing the temperature of the room. This place in July 2025 should be avoided.

5 stars? How exactly though?! Front desk: Pretty hectic check-in experience. We had little issues with the room but couldn’t reach anyone via phone. Pool: Do not be deceived by the pictures on the website. The pool is absolutely disgusting. First of all, I don’t even want to know about the water quality. The colour says it all. Also, my sensitive skin reacted straight away after a few minutes in the water. There is also mold and the state of the whole facility is questionable (lamps, walls, etc). The containers for shampoo and bodywash in the shower area are empty but at least there are soap bars….. (but not for hair). The website only shows the cost for sauna but not for the swimming pool even though it’s not included in the stay. It also doesn’t say on the information sheet you get when checking in. Apparently, you can buy some sort of a package deal online but that information is hard to get and find. It’s not expensive but every Penny is too much asked for given its miserable state. Room: The bed is small. If you are sharing it with a partner and toddler- have fun. The fridge is pretty big with almost nothing in it (3 small bottles of water were provided upon arrival). You can order minibar items/ room service via mobile phone but all beverages except alcohol are marked as sold out?! We witnessed a few families who changed rooms and heard of very smelly rooms (elevator talk). Staff: Not as professional as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. Positive: - the French garden and the animal farm - the breakfast was better than expected - food at Café Fleuri was ok We tried a Kensington hotel for the second time and are surely not coming back.

Great place to take your kids away. It's a hotel mainly for parents with kids and they love it. It has a big play area where the kids can play for hours and it's really well made. They have some extra activities the kids can do. It also has a little merchandise shop for kids. The only problem I had was the food wasn't great. I didn't enjoy the dinner buffet and sometimes some of the staff don't know what they're doing or are sometimes clueless because it's out of seoul so the people working there don't have much experience in the industry but all in all, I had a great experience. Very well done!

The location is pretty— great views in the quiet country side. My friend and I weny on an early morning stroll— we actually missed the pretty topiary gardens but we did enjoy the hammocks and the animal area. The rooms are a little outdated. Our balcony door was stuck, and when we finally opened it, a few bugs flew into the room. I really enjoyed the Olympics memorabillia scattered all around! It was fun to read up on things. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Really good location. Close to all the ski resorts but without the high price tag. Second floor has okay areas for kids thats great. Lots of Olympic memorabilia in the first floor lobby area. Small letting zoo and a large garden area out back.
