"The May 4 Visitor’s Center is an immersive experience to educate guests about the Kent State shootings. Visitors learn about the climate of the 60s, the days leading up to the shooting, and the aftermath of the event. The exhibit does an excellent job of giving multiple perspectives, which encourages dialogue and reflection amongst visitors. The center is located in Taylor Hall, the building next to where the shootings took place." - Each + Every

Great historical display of the tragedy of May 4th 1970. Helps one to better understand the events leading up to the murder of 4 students that day.

We only had a short time to visit, but we’ll visit again the next time we’re in the area. Not only the events immediately before and after the May 4th incident, but for years before and at least a few years after. Really nicely organized and visually displayed.

Sobering! Exposing wrong behavior, unwise judgment, while preserving painful history

I haven't been inside. I think it's good that KSU have left things basically untouched in this area, but have added some informational signage and a nice My 4th memorial.

Kent State is a terrific school and campus. They are trying very hard to make the campus and learning experience a 100% class act. Go Flashes.

It was a moving experience. It was like walking on hallowed ground. Was very interesting to walk and re-trace where events took place. However, MORE signage is needed on streets to direct you and find the Center so as to experience it!!!!

May 4, 1970 - Kent State has done an excellent job preserving the history for us all to remember and reflex on, as well as future generations learning about the past and hopefully not allowing it to repeat itself.
