"The May 4 Visitor’s Center is an immersive experience to educate guests about the Kent State shootings. Visitors learn about the climate of the 60s, the days leading up to the shooting, and the aftermath of the event. The exhibit does an excellent job of giving multiple perspectives, which encourages dialogue and reflection amongst visitors. The center is located in Taylor Hall, the building next to where the shootings took place." - Each + Every

MUST SEE! Very emotional. I grew up 15 miles away and went to “THE” University of AKRON and never visited, FINALLY DID. Suggest you see it too. Also the Kent State Campus is beautiful. Always good to go back home to OH…IO!

Visited the May 4th Memorial today. What an emotional remembrance. A Kent State graduate encouraged the visit and provided information along with the informative plaques.

We only had a short time to visit, but we’ll visit again the next time we’re in the area. Not only the events immediately before and after the May 4th incident, but for years before and at least a few years after. Really nicely organized and visually displayed.

I haven't been inside. I think it's good that KSU have left things basically untouched in this area, but have added some informational signage and a nice My 4th memorial.
