This Is the Most Underrated Destination in the World, According to Travelers

"On Taiwan’s southern tip, this national park is known for its white-sand beaches and caves, and it’s recommended as a worthwhile stop beyond Taipei for travelers looking to see more of the country." - Evie Carrick Evie Carrick Evie Carrick is a writer and editor who’s lived in five countries and visited well over 50. Magic place and great for the family. The facilities and natural parts of the park are exceptionally managed. Don’t hesitate to visit.

Kenting National Park is absolutely stunning, with unique geological formations that make it a truly special place. I was even lucky enough to spot a crab-eating mongoose during my visit! The only downside was the unpleasant experience at the entrance — the staff member, 柴小姐, who was checking tickets, had a very poor attitude. If you plan to visit, I recommend avoiding her if possible to keep your mood unaffected and enjoy the park to the fullest.

Amazing place. You can spend hours here walking around. Great botanical park for plants, walking trails, scenic views and quiet spaces among nature. ❣️

It’s no Yellowstone but it’ll do the trick if you’re keen to see a beach. The area is pretty and worth visiting if you’re in Taiwan. Expect crowds and lots of touristy development. Biking around is nice and the water is nice at the many beaches.

Went after typhoon passed. Big waves. Flooded paths. Beautiful beach but ruined by lots of rubbish

It has to be said that the scope of Kenting Park is very large. You can spend about half a day here walking and exploring. There are many natural ecology here, as well as rare creatures, plants, insects, natural forms, etc., which are hardly seen in other places. If you have a lot of time, you can take a look. I think this might be one of the national parks I've been to. It's a place I really like. The nature here is really beautiful and will make people feel eye-opening. There is a feeling of discovering a new world, which is amazing. But I have to say that the moving line planning inside feels that it can be maintained better. There are many routes in it, all very similar, but I couldn't find the exit and almost got lost inside. 😂 In addition, there is no signal at all when the navigation is turned on.

Lots of fun things to do, beaches, hiking, night markets, viewpoints. The views in every direction from any place is great. Doesn’t matter if you’re tired. Wake up for sunrise and stay away until sunset and through the night. One of the best things to do is rent a bicycle or scooter and explore the area. Go to the national forest and the most southern tip of Taiwan

The kenting national park is the southernmost park in Taiwan, very beautiful ocean views, poplar among tourists.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that this is hands down one of the most interesting and beautiful national parks I have ever visited. This park has super interesting plants and trees (often with descriptions) and detailed trails and sign boards that help lead you in the right direction. In order to enter, you purchase tickets at the front of the park and then walk in. If you head straight on the initial path, you will reach the first visitor's center where you can purchase water and food or pick up a map/ask for directions. From there, you can prioritize what you want to see and charge ahead. The viewing tower is definitely one spot that you should visit as you can go up the tower (on elevators YAY) and get a 360 view of the surrounding area. You can also purchase simple meals and drinks inside the air conditioned viewing area below the top floor of the tower. There are multiple trails that lead to great sea views and many narrow caves and crevices are super interesting and very fun to walk through. My favorites included the Fairy Cave, the Silver Dragon Cave, and the Hanging Banyan. Keep in mind that a lot of these trails have uneven pathways. Furthermore, many of them involve multiples flights of stairs and can be a bit tiring. If you go in the summer, wear a good amount of sunscreen and take in some water or energy drinks with you. It is possible to get through this place in 3-4 hours if you are in a rush, but I would highly recommend making your way through it if you are in Kenting.

Yelp
Another sight-seeing attraction in Kenting, we stopped at Kenting national park that no admission fee. The tour guide told us we would see few different sharped of rocks and warned us DO NOT pick up and take any rock. Otherwise, we will get fine. We didn't get a chance to see sail or frog rock. We stopped at Maobitou (猫鼻頭) (Cat's Nose) is the second most southerly point on the island of Taiwan. It's so beautiful and rocky feel. We will find few photo scenic spots are gorgeous
