It’s great for one night but if you are staying here for a few days like me the options are actually limited. Friendly service everywhere but it’s definitely the most touristy night market of Taiwan. So many alcohol / cocktail vendors with loud music. It actually gave me Thailand party vibes at some point, sadly. I highly recommend the wild boar box from the photo in my review.

We were lucky to come during the weekdays; not many people are here, and the street seems a bit too quiet, which means we don’t have to queue for any stalls. The street food is delicious, and there are beautiful Thai restaurants.

Simple one street night market. Most of the food are very traditional. Couple carts that are unique there. Clean and lots of room to walk around.

This is one of the poorer quality night markets I've been to in Taiwan. I believe it's because of the tourist element that it lacks any authenticity or stand out quality. You will walk past stall after stall of standard priced mid food and games. You will see people walking around chewing and spitting betel nut. And the gross escalation of Taiwan's drinking culture from practically nothing to every second drinking stall in kenting being called 'LETS GET DRUNK!' is sickeningly abrupt. You will see the big breasted ladies and the bear chested men pumping the most horrendous music and calling for you to drink an overpriced beverage over liquored and overly sweet cocktail. It sucks. It was interesting to see some Taiwan western fusion. But the food we tried was mid and we were desperate for the calm order, consistency and reliability of 7/11 on our way back to our overpriced tiny acom. This town and it's night market could be missed. Unless you are in fact into the idea of Pattaya-light in Taiwan 😐

A night market of stalls, restaurants and shops in Kenting. Lots of varieties of local street food from fried squid to hot dogs and fresh sea food.

Nice to visit and enjoy tapas style dinner. Buy what you want to eat, thro away the packaging into the dustbin prepare for you.

Unfortunately, we were visiting when a typhoon was causing rain all over the island. That said, the Kenting Night Market was spared from the torrential rain during the day, and vendors and visitors were out and about. It was lively with a great atmosphere. We got to try dumplings (cute underage son vendor with mother, adequate dumplings), crispy skin pork (especially good with the spice packets they provide), wood fired pizza (decent), watermelon juice (wish they strained the pulverized seeds), and some particularly delicious fresh fruit (mangoes and papayas).

Huge night market. Both ladies of the road and 750 meters long. Tons of food and beer and cocktails.

Yelp
Your classic night marker experience in the small Taiwan beach town environment. You'll find all your classic Taiwan night market items and games. But since it's a beach town the mini bar stands are quite prolific. You can get a shot of hard A at a reasonable price. Make sure to eat your favorite Taiwanese snack. Also be careful of traffic going both ways.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite night markets in Taiwan. Located right on Kenting Street, it's at the heart of Kenting and a midpoint between Eluanbi Lighthouse, the beaches, and the Kenting National Forest Recreational Area. The selection is great here, with some of our favorites including charcoal grilled corn, fried ice cream, and fried sweet potato balls. Besides the food stalls, there's also sit down restaurants, such as seafood grills, a Thai restaurant, and a Japanese yakiniku. We visited a few days before Lunar New Years which seems to be off-season for Kenting. We did notice that some stalls were closed on Monday, which coincided with when Eluanbi is closed. However, it got much busier mid-week closer to Lunar New Years with what seemed to be local high school students and tourists flooding the market, and it felt much more like a resort town. Overall, loved the selection and convenience and would rate it 4.5 rounded to 5.

Yelp
The Kending street night market closes much earlier than the other night markets, limited category for food, and so many alcohol vendors.

Yelp
This is where they have the night market in Kenting! Definitely check this place out if you're in Kenting. Lots of snacks you can try and things to buy. The whole block is filled with different stalls. Try the dart shooting game of water balloons and buy some souvenirs to go!

Yelp
Eat to your heart's content; just be careful not to get run over by vehicles while doing it. This street food market literally hugs two lanes (one lane each way). So don't think it's pedestrian only and get hit by a vehicle. The food used to be a lot better than it is now. I often wonder if they just keep selling what they couldn't sell the day before or the day before that. Because some stalls have so much food and I highly doubt there's enough visitors in the winter to consume all of it. The food quality has also gone downhill drastically. This is going to sound very inappropriate but food in China is nothing to write home about. Most of the visitors were from China and they couldn't get enough of everything. So many food selfies and whipping out CDN$2000+ SLRs taking up close photos of the food. Almost all the stuff I ate was not as good as it usually is. Not saying any specific stalls but the overall quality of what we are just wasn't up to par for what a normal street stall scene is like, which is unfortunate. For example the seasoned edamame was really disappointing. The grilled octopus tentacles, which looked so promising, weren't very well done. Seasoning it after really doesn't do anything for it. The flavor needs to seep in while cooking, not dousing it in that flavor after it's off the grill. The stinky tofu wasn't very stinky and replacing the pickled cabbage with a bland chopped cucumber was lame. The scallion pancake with beef also wasn't very good as it lacked seasoning and sauce. The corn dog was also gigantic for photos but because it was so oversized, it had to be cut open when cooking which just made it greasier than it usually is. The only things we really like was the wonderfully dark marinated meats 東山鴨頭, the milk guava slices with the delicious savory powder, watermelon milk and the traditional grilled corn on the cob. Also, even though it's a super touristy scene, the food prices weren't outrageous which is good. Also really sad at how much repetition there was. Like 3 or 4 corn dog stands, 2 鹽酥雞 (salty chicken nuggets etc) stands, several juice stands, several 東山鴨頭 stands, several fruit stands, 3 or 4 corn stands, 3 or 4 fried pork/chicken nugget stands, etc. They need more variety! This place is a definite must for visitors. It just shouldn't be your only foray into street food or else you'd be missing out on some truly epic food.

Yelp
This is pretty much where all the nightlife in Kenting goes down. During the day, its just a typical half mile stretch of street lined with random shops where cars whizz by. Come nighttime, it transforms into a semi bustling street filled with pedestrians, small night market booths, bars, souvenir stalls...etc. To be honest though, some of the food stalls looked very sketchy...like old food type of sketchy. After two back to back bouts of food poisoning in Taiwan, I was very selective of which foods made it into my mouth....some of the carnival games were pretty expensive BUT keep in mind, this place caters to tourists and they need to survive. During Taiwan's spring break season, I've heard the place transforms into a chaotic scene of parties, sex, drugs, booze, hot girls, nice cars..and anything else you can think of...oh, and also a gazillion cops! If you want to rendevous at the beach, it is easily accessible if you wander further. Tip: It would be wise to book your hotel within walking distance of the main street as there is almost no street parking.

Yelp
There are a lot of diverse food here. They are all very delicious. And, all the street vendors are very nice. However, it's just lack of trash cans. The weird thing is the next morning the street is clean. I don't know how the did it! Be aware! This is a tourism spot. People tend to jack up the price!

Yelp
This place has become a tourist spot. Too many food stands are selling the same food. People sell FOOD while they are smoking or chewing betel nuts. Yikes! Hard to find a parking space with all the scooters riding in the middle of the street. Loud music from restaurants and clubs. Most things are made for tourists as souvenirs. Of course, everything is over priced. Good thing about this place is most people speak English.
