Google
Great experience! So much information and learning experiences about the horses. They have a daily schedule that gets followed everyday and is a nice way to plan your visit. You can also visit the various horse barns at any time during the day to visit the horses. The trolley ride was fun and a nice little tour of the park. Admission ticket also includes entry for the next day!

Google
What a wonderful and relaxing experience! Being in Kentucky, home of The Kentucky Derby, my initial thought was that this place was strictly about the thoroughbred but I was so mistaken. They covered every type of horse, horse event, history of the lineage of horses, and so much more! It was truly a great and educational experience. Everyone was nice, professional, and encouraged us to ask questions and had plenty of answers. Such a rich history at this 1,200 farm, filled with horses to pet. A review doesn't do it justice. You need to experience this place. Everything was on a schedule (if you like structure as I do) and timed at a leisurely pace so you can get to the next event on time at a comfortable pace. Or you can experience it on your own schedule. So much h to do! This place needs to be on your bucket list. Entrance pricing is very reasonable and so are items at the gift shop. Make a day of visiting history!

Google
When visiting the Kentucky Horse Park I have had nothing short of an amazing experience. The Horse Park is in a great and easily accessed location, being right off the highway. The Horse Park has a great show facility. The rings have good footing and are very spacious and well kept. The big grass cross country field is every horse persons dream. Along with the layout of the horse park is really nice with having the horse show on one half and the museum and other activities on the other side. The museum is very easy to get to and has tons of parking. It was also super fun to have the chance to meet the horses that live in the big barn and the people who care for them. It was super interesting to get to walk though the other side of the horse park because I spend most of my time horse showing there. The horse shows are always done so well having food trucks and plenty of fun thing to do other than show! Overall a great experience every time.

Google
Went for a dog show. Nice venue, clean. Rented stall for grooming space, that was great! Lots of room. Enjoyed seeing the horses showing and in pastures on way out. Lovely grounds! I noticed they have pony rides for kids and horses for adults, I assume for trail rides.

Google
Amazing beautiful day of horses and two horse museums. A must see, you can spend most of the day here! Be sure to book horse rides early when you get there, they sell out fast! Gorgeous grounds, so many horses and shows and educational opportunities to learn the worldwide history of the horse. Love this place!! For all ages. You can see how those that work here truly love what they do and love the horses they care for. 🥰

Google
Going to Kentucky Horse Park was a wonderful experience. The horses were beautiful, well cared for and we were able to pet them. Terrific people available to explain about the horses and answer questions. The museum was filled with all sorts of plaques and various horse-related items. Sandwiches were good at the cafe but I'd pass on the French fries next time. All-in-all a great day trip.

Google
Super fun experience. Came from out of state, learned a bit about the horses stabled here and the history of horses in general. The interaction with some of the horses was great as well. Well worth admission

Google
I’m a freshman at the University of Kentucky and recently visited the Kentucky Horse Park for the first time, and it honestly surprised me how big and detailed it is, since then I’ve been back at least 5 times in just a few weeks (mainly for fishing because all water holes are public access). The park isn’t just a few horses in fields it’s got museums, barns, trails, and a campground all in one place. You can walk through different barns that focus on different breeds and learn about the history of Kentucky’s horse culture, which is actually pretty cool even if you’re not super into horses. The shows and demonstrations are fun to watch, and the staff are usually friendly and ready to answer questions. I did notice that depending on the time of day there aren’t always a ton of horses out but there’s still plenty to see. The trails and open areas are peaceful, and it’s a nice break from campus life. It’s worth visiting at least once while you’re at UK to get a feel for what makes Lexington horse country.

Yelp
This is a great park! Full stables. Has many types of events.... Not just equestrian. This week we competed in a dog show and it was a great venue. The area that hosted it was very well maintained and the staff was hard working and kept the place nearly spotless. I was impressed!

Yelp
For the most part everything was very nice. First and foremost the horses are well fed and cared for and we were assured more than once that they spend more time in the fields than in the barns. We caught a few presentations and did the $30 horseback ride. The presentations are brief and interesting and they end with time to get to the next one, but there is a lot of walking. The museum was very well done and easy to navigate. While you are allowed to bring your own food, the cafe food is decent and reasonably priced. We had 2 sandwiches, fries and a drink for $24. The pulled pork was tasty and a decent sized portion. My only complaint is that at the horseback ride I had to stash my purse in a plastic box outside in full sun. I had just bought chocolates at the gift shop and I asked if my bag could be stored in the building for that reason and was told no. Of course my chocolates were melted when I got my bag back. The riding tour is a very slow walk around a few fields. It was pretty but probably more interesting for kids.

Yelp
Battle in the Saddle is a fun event at the Kentucky Horse Park. Locals from farms, Keeneland, Churchill Downs Rood & Riddle, etc. compete in team penning. Sometimes you will even see trainers on horseback. Root for the calves! General Admission tickets are free. 87

Yelp
If you like horses, definitely check this place out! They have several retired race horses, including some big winners. They also have a bunch of draft horses and you can pet most of them. There is also a kids' barn with a lot of interaction things to do, as well as a pretty good playground. In case you are an animal lover like I am, one of the handlers told us the horses spend most of their time in the pasture and are only in their stalls when visitors are around.

Yelp
We had a great time at the Kentucky Horse Park! My toddler rode a pony for the first time and absolutely LOVED it. It was a very hot day so I was grateful there was staff all over the grounds offering rides on the golf cart. We enjoyed the numerous small shows throughout the day. The museum was very impressive. Tickets are good for two days because there's so much to see!! Lots of parking.

Yelp
This is an incredible place to visit near Lexington. The horses are well cared for, staff is exceptional and the grounds are peaceful. It is very clear that the care for horses is importantly here. Highly recommend visiting Kentucky Horse Park.

Yelp
Happened across this place randomly on trip to Lexington a few years ago. In the moment my friend and I were just trying to pass a few hours, but we ended up really loving it and having the best time. First off, the park is stunning! Gorgeous landscape, luscious green grass and white picket fencing as far as you can see. They clearly treat the horses like royalty and all humans and animals we encountered were very happy. Very informative sessions free to learn about the history and all in all, a unique and interesting experience I wasn't expecting, but really enjoyed!

Yelp
What an amazing after Christmas day! We took our son and his girlfriend as a day trip to and we were not disappointed. Arrived about ten o'clock. Toured the American saddlebred museum first. This museum is definitely geared toward a target audience. Lots of pictures and awards displayed. Wonderful celebration of this incredible breed of horse. Next we went to the Police Barn where we met horses McKenzie and Oliver and their respective human partners. I don't ever use officer's names in public forums, but both officers were very engaging and enjoyable to talk to. One of them had actually been at ground zero during the immediate aftermath of 9-11. It was an honor to meet her. After taking some pictures, we meandered over to the mini barn and met some delightful miniature horses. From there we toured the Museum of the Horse. This is definitely a go to destination for any horse lover. Amazing collection of horse relative memorabilia and equine folklore. The museum was clean, had a nice flow to it and was quiet and engaging. The Calumet horse racing, trophy cup collection is housed here, truly a Kentucky treasure. After we finished at the museum, we made our way over to the Visitor's center where there is an ample gift shop to pick up souvenirs for the trip! After that we visited the monument in Secretariat's honor and the grave of Man O' War, two horse racing legends. Restrooms in both museums were extremely clean. Parking was ample. Follow appropriate signage on the grounds to direct your party along the way. The cost is $14 a person, which for all we got, I feel is reasonable. We never made it to the hall of champions or the main barn. One note to those who have walking issues, there is a lot of walking to be done. A motorized wheelchair or scooter would be recommended for anyone who cannot walk more than short distances. During the summer months, the venue has all kinds of events on the schedule. This is definitely a Kentucky treasure and a place well worth visiting more than once!

Yelp
If you're in the area you just have to stop here. You can learn about the racing history as well as many other horse breeds up close and personal. They have some retired cart horses and thoroughbreds, mounted police horses, draft horses and everything in between. Check it out!

Yelp
Great place to go & learn all about horses. The park is also really good at entertaining young kids & involving them with different things that are done on a farm.

Yelp
On the day after Thanksgiving (November 24), my wife and I took our Grandson to the Kentucky Horse Park. We wanted him to see the horses. He enjoyed petting the cats. He liked it so much that my wife wanted us to come back for the Southern Lights show. The light show drive was nice. The real fun was the animals. My grandson enjoyed a camel ride. It made him feel like a King. If you come to Lexington, and haven't been here, you should go.

Yelp
Oh what fun ! This place is massive and just beautiful all around . I can't wait to go back .

Yelp
We're on a long road trip, and knew that we HAD TO do something related to horses while in the Lexington area. We usually live in a rural area of Virginia, but we're not generally exposed to horses so this would be our opportunity to learn and to come into closer proximity to these magnificent creatures. We arrived on a Sunday around noon in late April. Ticket prices were $16 (adult) and $14 (senior, 62+). Their website said that parking would be $6 but we were never charged that fee. These were their spring prices; they are higher effective May 1. Park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We arrived with a ton of other cars but the park itself was relatively uncrowded. It's possible that there was an equine competition going on elsewhere on the premises. Some of the features of the park include: 1. Two Museums to explore equine history. 2. Horseback trail rides suitable for first-timers. 30-minute guided trail rides at designated times. Extra $30 per rider). Also, pony rides for ages 2-12. ($6 for 3 times around the paddock. Designated times). 3. A daily schedule of short shows. (5 shows, at 10 am. 11, 1, 2, and 3). 4. The opportunity to visit various barns, including the big barn, the kids barn, mounted police barn, and more. 5. Equine sculpture walk, which features equine sculptures from artists around the world which are scattered throughout the grounds of the park. Despite all of these features, my husband and I left the park feeling that we had actually seen very few live horses. We visited all of the barns -- and found that the majority of the stalls were empty. Where there were horses, they were hard to see and/or photograph because they were behind bars or sleeping. The 2 pm "Draft Horse Meet & Greet", billed as an opportunity "to meet the largest horses of the park" featured only one horse. The presenter spent much time talking about the heights of different breeds but it was hard to visualize without being able to visualize the breeds side-by-side. An outdoor field had only two horses within its fences. No Mounted Police were in the Mounted Police Barn. We do not recommend the experience at its current price point.

Yelp
Loved everything about it! Museum was excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful. They provided a scooter for my husband who had hip discomfort walking.

Yelp
Overall an enjoyable visit. Close to downtown Lexington, parking is $10 and tix are around $15-$20 depending on age. You can book tickets in advance but not the horse rides; those must be bought day of. Plan on arranging those first if you want to do them (they are extra $) because the convenient times fill up quick. They have shows twice a day (free); I do recommend trying to catch one of those. Be aware that after the afternoon show, most of the horses are moved from the stables to the pastures so they're not as accessible, so maybe morning is a better time to visit. They also have some museums, a police horse exhibit and a playground. If visiting with children, plan for 2-3 hours, plus horse rides and eating. We did not eat here; they do have a cafeteria, and plenty of areas to bring a picnic. It is pretty outdoorsy, so probably not a good choice for inclement weather.

Yelp
So much fun!!!! Please do yourself a favor, go to the shows and GO HORSEBACK RIDING. For 25$, you ride for about a mile and a half in a group. Each horse is chosen for you, depending on your size and experience. You're taught basic commands and the horses are well trained. They follow each other in a line and they don't stray. I don't have any experience riding and was really nervous, but had so much fun. The shows are great, and petting at the end is encouraged. I loved learning about each breed and getting to know the horses personalities. The museum is amazing too, you learn so much about jockeys and the history of racing. Totally worth it.

Reagan C.

Yelp
Gigantic rip off. We paid $190 for a family of four to spend a few hours here (that price was WITH a military discount!). Paid a ton of money to just walk around and look at a few horses and walk through one of the more boring and underwhelming museums I've ever seen. The only bright point was our trail ride, but even that was disappointing - tons of trash and empty beer cans the entire way. All the money people pay to enter and they don't even clean the place?
google avatar

Jillian W.

Yelp
Great place to visit and fun for the whole family. I have been numerous times over the years, but this review is mostly based on my last trip during COVID times. They are currently open Wed through Sunday. Masks are required while indoors and visitors and staff were very respectful of those rules. They have a discounted entrance fee of $12 for adults. There is also a $5 parking fee. The entrance fee does get you in the next day if you keep your receipt. The museum exhibits are well done, informative, and clean. They close them one hour each day to do a thorough clean. We did go around this time so had to rush through unfortunately. Definitely keep in mind the three shows that they are offering. These are the only events going on at this time so you don't want to miss it. They have three shows, Breeds Barn, Big Barn, and Hall of Champions. They were all great, but definitely don't miss the Champions show. The guides were excellent and shared some very interesting history. The groups were small so it was nice to get up close without massive crowds. Check their website for the most up to date info. The only barn that was open for viewing was the Big Barn which was a little disappointing, but understandable. Overall, even though there was a lot less going on at the park due to COVID, it was still well worth the trip. It's very peaceful, especially during the weekday when there are fewer visitors.

Yelp
I've visited this place multiple times over the last three decades, and I still love it. The people here love horses, and they'll share all of their love and knowledge with you freely. The grounds are sprawling and there are many arenas here where world equestrian events are held (check the schedule, many are open to the public). Tons of open fields where horses graze and beautiful statues and monuments. As many mention, there are a couple of museums on campus--one is the International Museum of the Horse, which covers horses from their beginning until present, in addition to showing how the horse has evolved in agriculture and racing. There are many artifacts from other cultures. There are a couple of different shows that allow you to learn about and see the breeds in action. There is also a Hall of Champions, where you can meet derby winners and other famous equestrian winners. There are several famous horses buried on the grounds, including Man O' War, who has the rare honor of being buried in his entirety (most racehorses are buried as head, heart, and hooves only). Right now the park is open Wednesday through Sunday. I actually went on a Tuesday, as the park still keeps their grounds open on those days (no shows or cafes). I wandered in solitude to view the scenery and had a nice, quiet walk. I will return on an open day to check some shows and to support them with ticket sales. During COVID there are masks rules and social distancing protocols. Oh, and tickets are only like 12 bucks and some change, so budget friendly. And unless something has changed, that ticket will get you in free the next day.
google avatar

Rebecca R.

Yelp
This horse park is a lot larger than we anticipated. The museum is very large so don't be deceived. It starts out with some of the history of horse evolution, how horses were used throughout history, the history of horses as they related to war, the history of horse racing and a plethora of information of the different famous horses throughout history along with a lot of information on the different breeds. You could easily spend an entire day here if not more if you wanted to read all of the different signage. We went actually went through at a moderate pace. My favorite was the last section which was Arabian horses. From there we went to visit some of the different barns. The mounted police barn had a couple of different horses that we were able to pet and take pictures of. The champions barn had several horses that were prize winners along with several of their famous horses buried outside in the entry way. The gift shop was nice and had reasonably priced merchandise, along with some Kentucky staple snacks/drinks. The weather was great and it's a nice place to walk around.

Yelp
Love it! Go , learn, have fun. Such an enjoyable way to spend the day. We were lucky to meet Funny Cide just a few weeks before he died. RIP. Beautiful grounds, great exhibits.
google avatar

Dalton W.

Yelp
Got there a bit late so we missed most of the shows that they offer daily. The shows we did get to see were super interesting though! The museum is super cool as well. I thought the $20 admission fee was a bit steep at first but after going there I think it's actually quite reasonable.
google avatar

Anthony M.

Yelp
I unfortunately called this place after hours right before the sun was completely down. I don't think I got the traditional experience, however I did walk around the property. I got to see some of the Hall of Fame horses relatively close, got to see the stables up close where they held some of the horses and learn some history about the sport. This property was massive and seemed to be very well-kept. I don't know too much about it, but it was pretty fascinating and I would absolutely love to come back another time during the day and get more of the traditional experience. If you're looking for a unique experience I think this is definitely a good place to go if you're not from Kentucky. It seems there's a lot of local heart poured into this sport and facility.

Yelp
Traveling with our 5 year old and 16 month old. They loved it! Our 5 year old got to ride the pony(ages 3-6) it was a great first experience for her ! This time of year, it was absolutely breathtaking! The colors of the trees and the nice autumn breeze. Not crowded at all! The only thing that we didn't get to do was the trolly ride. The line for the ride was fairly long and not many seats. However, if that is something you would like to do I suggest getting in line early. This was not a issue for us though. We love taking our kids cool places that are fun however also educational. I believed the museum was very historical and informative! We highly enjoyed our time here!
google avatar

Wink B.

Yelp
Really friendly staff. Very well organized grounds! Perfect way to spend a family day. Lots of Equine history here! Bring the family. You'll enjoy it here.
google avatar

Jane N.

Yelp
Fun things to do & see for all ages. The team that works here is engaging. The stories are interesting even if you're not big into horse culture!
google avatar

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
I wished I lived closer, so I could come here all the time. What a gorgeous park, there isn't a place in the park that isn't a Kodak moment. There are planned events throughout the day. We attended the breed display and another event where we actually got to pet these marvelous creatures. The museum was really nice too. If you are in the area or just passing through plan to stop here.
google avatar

Cathy W.

Yelp
I'm not a horse person at all, but that fact didn't keep me from enjoying a visit to KHP. Every employee we encountered here was welcoming, helpful and friendly. It made our time here even more pleasant. I liked the budget pricing (we visited in October during Covid and tickets were discounted) and the fact that kids 5 and under were free. It was a fairly short visit, but we were still able to get up close and personal with the draught horses and tour their barn after. We also got to meet Go for Gin, the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner, as his handler told his story outside the Hall of Champions. On the opposite side of the park, our 3 and 5 year old kiddos joyfully rode the ponies Scout and Gizmo. We made a brief walk-through of the gift shop and took advantage of restrooms in the welcome center before hitting the road again as we travelled from TN to MI.
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
So me and my family thought it was a good idea to visit this horse park to learn more about riding horses. The experience was really good but there was this gentlemen working at the park. His name was Ricardo Delerosa he was sitting in a golf cart and when I asked him where the bathrooms were and he acted very annoyed and told me he was on lunch break and to ask someone else. I wasn't trying to disturb him while on break I just wanted to know where the bathroom was.
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
I enjoyed the park and the horses but my experience was RUDELY ruined by one of your employees Ricardo Delerosa. He was too busy on his phone when i was asking for directions and gave off an attitude when i said something about it. Hopefully next time there will be less distractions...
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
Watching these magnificent animals in action is truly amazing-The horse & rider in concert is remarkable to watch & worth the time & money for this entertainment.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
Kids loved it (and we did too)! One of the best places I have ever visited. Shows all day, get up close and personal with all types of horses, including Champions!

Dawn C.

Yelp
An enjoyable day trip. We arrived a little before 1:00 p.m. and were able to enjoy the majority of the park, museums, and activities, exiting the park around 4:30 p.m. Depending on your pace I suggest adding a couple of hours. The Hall of Champions and Parade of Breeds shows were informative and entertaining, and we enjoyed the brief horse-drawn trolley tour and the Mounted Police barn. Our timing had us missing out on the Draft Horse presentation. The International Museum of the Horse and the American Saddlebred Museum were fascinating and educational. The gift shop left a bit to be desired unless you are shopping for Breyer toys. We collect Christmas ornaments from our travels. There were NONE. Many other items were generic Kentucky and not specifically Kentucky Horse Park.
google avatar

Dena L.

Yelp
Everyone loves the Kentucky Horse Park. It is a beautiful place and plenty of parking. There are museums, educational films, exhibits, a gift shop, and the Calumet Farm horse racing trophies. The parade of horse breeds is wonderful and changes the presentation with different horses and rider's costumes 3 times per day. The horse Park generally has about 50 of about 126 breeds of horses on the planet and some are previous award winners. The parade of champions, 3 times per day is great. Grooms present retired race horses, a saddlebred champion and show videos of their past performances, etc. There are horses everywhere and quite often there is a real horse show going on which could be a 3 day event, hunter jumper show, Arabian show, saddlebred show, etc. Great place, beautiful and everyone loves it.
google avatar

Candy L.

Yelp
We brought our 9 year old horse loving granddaughter to this horse park. Truth be known, everyone ( 7 more of us) enjoyed the whole park immensely. Clean facility ( even the stables)and friendly workers made our visit amazing!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Great venue for horse shows. Lots of riding space and permanent stabling onsite. The footing in the arenas and on the XC course is always phenomenal. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Leslie M.

Yelp
Lots of walking and so much to learn about horses. Beautiful environment and fantastic memorabilia.
google avatar

Yelp
What a great place for family, dog and everyone else. We are from out of town, and this is such a great and different experiences. All the staff are not only friendly and knowledgeable, but also passionate about horses.
google avatar

Matthew C.

Yelp
The Kentucky Horse Park is pretty remarkable for anyone with a cursory knowledge of horses/racing, but it's not really a great fit for little kids as it's a lot of reading and not a lot of interaction with the animals during this time. That said, their grounds and staff are amazing!

Mary R.

Yelp
We had a blast at the horse park. It's a great place to go and naturally allows for social distancing through the outdoor fun. There are also so many museums here. We really enjoyed seeing the horses from around the world. I honestly didn't know much about horses until we visited. The pony rides were a big hit too. Thank you to the friendly and patient staff and volunteers who made the visit so much fun.

Steve S.

Yelp
Food was fast, reasonably priced, good quality . People are friendly and there is outdoor seating
google avatar

Anjanette M.

Yelp
What a great day. Not too crowded and able to enjoy the park while social distancing. We met Jenny, who works in the Hall of Champions earlier in the week at the Red Mile. When we saw her today at KHP she remembered us and our daughter's name. She was so friendly and full of really neat information. She is such an asset to KHP and really helped to make the experience for our horse loving daughter very special. The Park was clean and easy to navigate.
google avatar

Janet T.

Yelp
I would give 5 star if they had sewer Really nice park, big spaces. Nice location Visit the KHP it's an awesome place

Judy L.

Yelp
Nice park. All sites are back in Sites are generally level. Close to the Horse Farm for a tour.

Yelp
The best thing I did in Kentucky is deciding to come here. This past weekend was my first time in Kentucky. This was my number one attraction if you would that I did. Now Mammoth Cave is number one also in another perspective. I would come here again. That's how much I liked it. You go to visitors center and pay for admission and get a sticker that you place on your shirt. They told me I can go anywhere- which I did (unguided) and by myself. Now, if I had to do it all over again, I would do this first and get here early. Then, stay all day. That is if you like horses which I do. Kentucky Horse Park includes several attractions which are; Hall of champions, Rolex Stadium, Big Barn, Saddlebreds Showplace, Jumping Complex, Covered Arena, International Horse Museum, Kids Barn and several other buildings too see. The schedule for daily activities normally start at about 9am or there after. One important one to see is The Hall of Champions where they bring out horses to show. These horses usually are retired and more than likely won a Kentucky Derby years ago or other major race. So this one is quiet impressive. Another attraction here I recommend seeing is the stadium jumping complex. Here they jump horses over fences. You can sit in the middle under a roofed complex and watch them on both sides.

Yelp
We LOVED staying here. The people were very friendly! It was a great central location for all the day trips we wanted to take. They had a great little store with everything from merchandise, food, firewood, and beer. We also loved walking our dogs through all different loops and making camp fires at night. The bathrooms were clean and for those who have kids, they have playgrounds on site and a mini arcade. We would definitely stay here again!!

I can't believe that I just found out about this awesome series of events! Apparently, they do it every year, on Mondays 5-8 pm from June until the last Monday of September. There are two Mondays left of the 2017 KHP Walk Run season, so I highly recommend checking it out. The check-in starting point is the visitor center. Although it's free, you'll still want to stop at the registration area because once you've attended so many Mondays, you get a prize. There's a food truck there and even local beers available. I've been twice. It's a great way to explore The Kentucky Horse Park. Sort of behind the scenes. I didn't even know that there was a fishing pond at KHP... that is until I experienced my first KHP Walk Run! Both times there was a different route, a walking or running path mapped out for you. You can choose the 1 and a half mile path or the 3-mile path that branches off the smaller path. So, you can decide whether or not you want to take the longer route once you're already warmed up. Thanks, KHP for the Monday summer motivation to get out and move and explore. See ya next year!

Yelp
On Sunday, December 19 the church group went to the horse park to see the southern lights a Christmas display at the horse park. Was not impressed with them it was a nice outing. I think it's a little expensive for what Time you spend in there. But we didn't take in all the attractions they had added a lot of stuff since the first time I saw them back the first year they had them but you enjoy Christmas lights and you have children they will enjoy it take them to see.

Yelp
We found a Groupon so we decided to try this place. We know nothing about horses but we really enjoyed it. I was surprised at how big the park is and the how amazing the museum is! The exhibits on Black horsemen and Arabian horses (with a WONDERFUL interactive storytelling section) blew my mind. The kids (two toddlers) really enjoyed the photo taking cutouts in the Kid Barn and the little play area where they got to jump over the horse thingees. A helper from the Kid Barn even came out and helped them through the paces. Lol We didn't get to make it out to the horse pens because the heat was crazy. If I had known how much fun it would be, I would have arrived earlier and planned to spend more time there. We wandered around for almost two hours and barely saw any of the park. Also, we missed out on being able to ride the ponies because the pony rides were sold out by 2pm. Purchase your tickets early! We really enjoyed seeing a few horses, touching a few velvety noses, running around, and exploring the AMAZING museum.
