Without any pretentious this is a local-family-artisanal -like hotel, clean comfortable, with a very kind staff in and an old but well kept building. The room with a great view to the river and comfortable beds. |The breakfast 🍳 abundantly, fresh excellent coffee and the cook did what we asked for with an open and excellent attitude. |The stairs and the hall is decorated with pictures from the history of the hotel and the family (I suppose) ||Il be back

Very nice staff, rich history. Hotel amenities a little limited, including less reliable internet and simpler room amenities (we had one small pillow per person, for example). We were happy with the window view of the lake and generous breakfast options. Arrive early to find a parking spot in the square (permit given at front desk).

I have stayed in this hotel for the 6th time and I don’t get tired of it. On the contrary, there is something new to discover every time I stay there. The proprietors are very proud of the hotel with a long history. Most of the rooms have been renovated, incl. new very comfortable beds, and new bathrooms. It is an old building in an old Austrian town, so expect quirky details. To get to the parking you have to be able to control your car, but nothing an experienced driver can’t manage. There is a disability parking space at the front of the hotel, on the market place.||Breakfast is not to be missed, fresh bread, fresh organic-juices, organic (homemade) jams and mostly a fresh cake, baked by the Hostess. ||Looking forward to my next visit! |

The hotel is in an old house, well located, in a quiet place - the streetis full of other interesting buildings. The hotel has also a garage (behind the hotel) with very friendly price of parking.|| Nicely and properly furnished very comfortable rooms. Tthe mood is warm and friendly, thanks first of all to the owner Mr. Krapfenbauer - and all staff! We liked the breakfast room - with a good selection of fresh fruits, bakery products and all...!

In the City Centre a comfortable clean hotel with friendly staff in a quiet and charming street away from the main road through the city. A three night stay in a nice room with a wonderful view over the lake and excellent breakfast. The decor is a little tired in places but made up for by the friendly and attentive staff.||If arriving by car in the next few months ask for directions because the main road at the bottom of the hill is being relaid for the new tram extension. No noise from the works could be heard in the hotel.||Be aware that the hotel does not at present have a restaurant although it is mentioned in places on the internet.

The hotel is located in an old, but very beautiful building. The room was large and beautiful, overlooking the lake. Excellent breakfast, which could also be served on the terrace. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is extremely quiet. The only inconvenience could be the very poor WiFi signal.

The proprietress is one of the most warm and helpful people I have ever encountered, and made me feel immediately at home. She assisted me with parking directions (in a lot at the back of the hotel around the corner), my bag, calling a nearby restaurant to get me a table for dinner. The hotel is in a 500 year old building and my room was quet and beautiful, with high ceilings, hard wood floors and a view of the river. Note: there is an elevator to the rooms, but to get to it one either has to take a steep staircase with a handrail from the parking area, or enter from the front of the hotel on Traungasse and go up a few steps without a handrail, but with a wall one can lean on to support oneself). The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the city center where boat rides leave to tour the lake. Breakfast was generous and served in a lovely light filled room or on the terrace. This is the perfect home away from home. I can't recommend it enough.

Original, historic, great location and service. Room views amazing and very pleasant stay. Free parking and great location. Breakfast had great selection and the owners and staff were friendly and personable.
