"The frozen, chocolate-covered Key lime pie on a stick. Some swear by Kermit's as Key West’s greatest innovation, others see it as a novelty item made for cruise ship passengers stepping out at port between drinks package Margaritas." - Shay Spence

Google
A quaint little place, known for their delicious Keylime pie. That being said, I would not recommend getting anything else there except for that Keylime pie, as it is their specialty. It is a wonderful blend of Key West culture and the deliciousness of a well made pie. It has a thin crust and a reasonable price at about six dollars per slice and about $30 for a whole pie. Their shop looks small but there is a backyard seating area for when there is good weather. All in all, I confidently recommend that you try Kermit’s Keylime Pie Shop. See for yourself!

The real deal. Tart, sweet, and delectable. A great place to try a great Florida delicacy. We drove all the way from Washington, D.C. to try this famous pie, and it definitely lived up to the hype.

Google
If you love Key Lime pie must visit ! I eat my piece of pie so fast that I couldn’t take a picture because it was very good and delicious 😁😁😁😋😋😋 I’ll be back again ! Great service and a lots of different goodies available to get there.

This is our second year to visit Kermit's key lime shop. We drove from Nashville Tn. And had to come back again My husband & I love the dark chocolate dipped key lime pie & the original key lime pie.

Google
This pie was very “limey” and rich. If that’s what you’re looking for, this is the spot. It definitely seemed like an “authentic” slice of key lime pie. I didn’t care for the strawberry key lime pie — the two flavors didn’t mix well for my palate. The key lime cookies were exceptional. Love the samples scattered throughout the store giving you the chance to try nearly everything before purchasing. The staff was super friendly and helpful!

Google
Kermit’s was one of the best spots I visited in Key West to get key lime flavored delicacies. They have pie, taffy, jelly beans, and other candies. There is so much to try and to dive into. I would recommend getting the taffy or pie if you want a strong key lime flavor. The store is beautifully decorated and I really appreciated the attention to detail and decoration in the store.

Google
They let customers get a sample of most of their products. Also various flavors of Key Lime pie which were all delicous

This place is darling! The best surprise to me was that they have gluten free offerings. I have celiac disease so I'm always so thrilled when I can partake in an experience at a restaurant or treat shop. Kudos for delicious gf treats! I wish more places cared about inclusion for food lovers like me, so thank you!

Yelp
Cute shop with many foodstuff items with the expected key lime ingredient -- pies, cookies, honey, salad dressing, peanuts. There were also many items featuring the logo --wooden cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and even a special edition themed monopoly game. We selected a whole frozen key lime pie, which we placed in our home fridge to enjoy later that evening. We ultimately were able to share individual slices with our group of 8 and portions were perfect. Pie was creamy, sweet, and tart and the graham cracker crust was firm and a nice semi-crunch texture as a counterpoint to the pie filling. Everyone was complimentary. The shop was clean and had a very cheery welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dining tables and chairs are available if someone wanted to enjoy pie at the time of sale. Outside counter height stools are also available to enjoy treats while watching Duval Street patrons. Interesting side note: Check out the glass window behind the cashier's counter. It's an opportunity to see one of island roosters up close and personal with a small chicken coop experience. We also saw a small abandoned egg, which was a first. Key lime pies can be purchased whole or by the slide in several flavors.

Yelp
Great place and clever idea to focus on such a classic dish from the Florida keys. We tried a slice of pie and also the chocolate dipped slices on a stick. For me the extra tart slice was the winner as the other a little too sweet. For my personal preference there was not enough base to the pie, so the ratio was off a bit, and also way too much cream slathered on top. The middle of my pie also tasted frozen. Still, I'm giving them 4 stars. Service was very friendly and we could see pies being made and cut into slices through the glass front to the kitchen area. Worth a visit.

Yelp
Came in store. They had a variety of key lime pies - whole pies, frozen pie, pie on a bar, slices in different flavors. Pretty casual since there are people browsing and others eating. Service is at counter to pay for your goods. Got a slice of key lime pie - got to try some when you are in key west. It was very good albeit too sweet for me. I like the coconut flakes on top that gives it more texture. I taste a little lime flavor. The crust also provide a good contrast to the soft pie texture/ flavor.

Kathryn J.

Yelp
Kermit's is really cute! I wish the pie was as amazing as the cute store. had high expectations for their key lime pie that weren't really met, but it was good! I just expected fireworks and it was kind of an average pie. The slices are also a little small for the price. The store was cheery and colorful with a couple Instagram spots throughout. They offer a lot of different items, like jellybeans, honey, and cookies, although I didn't see anyone purchase these. They also offer three flavors of fresh pie slices and four flavors of frozen pie on a stick. There isn't a lot of seating, but it is comfortable and cute inside. The store quickly got crowded and the line was disorganized. The staff were nice and friendly. I just wasn't blown away by the pie.

Anna L.

Yelp
So yum! Tons of key lime related things and one thing was better than the next. Store is located in an awesome location where it didn't matter if you wanted to walk and eat or find a place to plop down.

Calvin S.

Yelp
3.5/5 When in Key West, a key lime pie is a must. Seeing I was on Duval Street, I decided to stop here since I know this is one of the top places for key lime pie. The store inside is quite neat. There's key lime everything including pie, pie bars, ice cream, and it includes different flavours such as coconut and strawberry. Obviously I had a slice of the original key lime pie. My dad went with the chocolate dipped coconut key lime pie. I liked the original, it definitely struck the perfect balance between sweet and sourness. My dad was lukewarm over his chocolate dipped coconut taste, he said there was a lot more chocolate than coconut. Portions were pretty small. You're definitely getting a better bang for your buck by buying the whole pie. I'd say it's good to stick with the original slice (or buy a pie), don't bother with the additional gimmicks here.

Nora A.

Yelp
It was my first time in key west so of course I had to have at least a slice of key lime pie. This place had a lot of reviews but honestly I was disappointed. The guy working there wasn't the friendliest. There was a picture of another flavor of key lime pie and she asked what flavored it was and his answer was "what does it look like?". Probably not the way you want to respond to a customer and maybe simply answer the question kindly instead of with a smart remark. The key lime pie was ok, I think the one from Publix actually has more flavor to it. A slice is $6+, it comes out better if you're get a full pie and divide with whoever you're going with. They have original key lime, strawberry key lime, and coconut (which seems is mainly just coconut flakes in it). At the end I kind of wish I would've tried a different place.

Julie G.

Yelp
I am not sure if the pie was good or not I refused to buy one in a plastic container. Basically, as the pie is handed to you at the counter, there's less than a 10 feet walk to a table; a paper plate would've served nicely and probably saved them money. While I was standing there, probably 30 or more clam shells went out and were thrown away in less than 5 minutes. The trash was heaping with used pie clamshells. That is irresponsible !!! All consumers need to start demanding changes. You cannot tell us you care about the ocean around you and throw away that much plastic each day.

Sabina M.

Yelp
I had heard about this shop many years ago when I was resident of North Miami and put it on my TO-DO list. During a getaway weekend in the keys I learned that the flagship location was closed for repairs but thankfully they have opened several locations since I first heard of them. I was able to purchase a pie to-go and I also managed to finish it off before getting back to my hotel. Yes walking down DUVAL eating my pie in peace... LOL.

John D.

Yelp
I have had many key lime pies in my past but this one takes the cake! Not too tart and not too sweet just right! Service girl at the counter friendly. The ambience is hopping with customers, you can sit inside or outside. Give them a try folks and let me know?

Cathy G.

Yelp
We enjoyed a slice of their classic key lime pie--so yummy, but also so rich. We split 1 slice and didn't feel deprived. The meringue on top was excellent--this from someone who is not a big meringue fan! The patio in back was a perfect place to rest our feet after visiting the Hemmingway house

Daren R.

Yelp
KEY LIME PIE GALORE...Small shop on the Duval Strip in Key West. They boast an old blue and lime colored tryck in the center of the store. A nice outside patio area to chill and eat their famous key lime pie on a stick for $6.40.

Craig W.

Yelp
This is a small shop along Duval that--surprise!--sells key lime products. They have a little outdoor back patio if you want to sit and eat there. Obviously, you can take your food to go, if you wish. The key lime pie was good. It's not as sweet as some places and you can definitely taste the tart key lime flavor, if that appeals to you. It had a good balance of sweet and tart. Nice enough shop and good pie.

Alex F.

Yelp
TANGY KEY LIME PIE Stopped by while walking around. There was nobody in there but the friendly staff. I decided to try the chocolate dipped key lime pie. The pie was very tangy but the chocolate brought some balance. If I go back, I would try a regular slice.

Brett A.

Yelp
Kermit's is an absolute must stop when you're exploring Duvall Street in Key West. Their pie is delicious, as if it needs repeating. I would give a little edge to Blond Giraffe up in Key Largo, but this place was great as well. The service was quick on a Tuesday and the woman that helped us was friendly. They had some really delicious cookies here as well. We had our pie the traditional way, but pie on a stick seemed like it might be fun.

Miriam C.

Yelp
Favorite key lime pie we had on the island. Fast and friendly service. Cute decor! I wanted to try the chocolate covered key lime pie, but it was so hot outside. Next time!

Abby D.

Yelp
Perfectly tart key lime pie with great consistency. The chocolate dip adds an additional layer of happiness. My favorite in all of Key West!

Misti L.

Yelp
Cute place. Everything was just ok. Cult following I had to try. Sweet and dark chocolate. One and done.

Jolie M.

Yelp
The pie and cookies are amazing!! Highly recommend!! The gala running the shop are so nice. Don't miss it- Duval St!

Ashley P.

Yelp
THE BEST KEY LIME PIE IN THE KEYS. My dad took my sisters and I to almost every key lime pie we could see from eye sight when we stayed at the keys. This is the place to go!!!

Greg Z.

Yelp
Hands down the best Key Lime Pie. We had this shipped to us in Kansas City by our great neighbors. It arrived frozen and we put it in the fridge. We had it last night for New Year's Eve and the flavor was amazing. The crust was perfect with it holding together with each bite. This is top 3 key lime pies. I consider myself a key lime pie connoisseur. Can't wait to come visit this place in person.

Denise G.

Yelp
Omg is all it could say with each bow of my dark chocolate key lime pie on a stick.... The ambiance inside was fun. They had all things key lime, including bottled juice to take home and make your own key lime pie. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Shay D.

Yelp
Cute shop! Little pricy but that's what you get when you are in the tourist area. Delicious pie.

Hira H.

Yelp
This store is just such a delight. Everything we taste tested here was absolutely DELICIOUS. Everything we got from here was fantastic, from the key lime fudge, to the classic key lime pie and the coconut key lime pie. My favorite, however, was the coconut key lime pie slice. Next time I'm getting the whole pie! The ladies at the service counter were so sweet and answered all our questions, and the store is nice and airy, a sunny disposition all around!

John B.

Yelp
If you want a tasty key lime pie, this is the place to go. It may not be very spacious but there is a patio in the back where you can eat your pie. However, you may need to take your pie home to enjoy the pie in comfortable surroundings. Service with a smile is also available here. Parking will be a challenge so walking here will be easier. Buying a whole pie is a colossal saving over the price of eight single slices.

Sophia C.

Yelp
Before coming to Key West, my sis told me I MUST come here bc there is no better key lime pie out there. We stopped here after our day out and this was the perfect ending to the day! This is the smaller of the 2 shops in key west but there's a cute little patio out back to sit and relax with your pie. I'm no connoisseur but it was tasty and tart and there's a variety of key lime pie cookies, candies, honey etc. there's even a gluten free key lime pie and cookie! I have to check out the other location with the koi pond but this was on the way back to the port from the Hemingway House.

J S.

Yelp
NOT the same Kermit's SMALL slices and generic whipped dollops of cream Tastes like that horrible Rich Products cream out of the bag Redi Whip And expensive Much better elsewhere Love Kermit-the person, but since selling out man the product is not good

Danielle B.

Yelp
The best key lime pie slice in Key West! They serve you slices in individually served plastic containers at the counter. I prefer less whipped cream on my key lime pie because I don't like it to overwhelm the actual filling, and this one has a great ratio. The filling is nice and tart, but not too much. The crust is good and crumbly as well. I always come by while in Key West.

Terri C.

Yelp
My family voted the Kermit's key lime pie as the favorite on the island. The pie here has the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The consistency is also perfect - not too firm and not too liquidy. There are several Kermit locations and they all sell the same products. The location here though, had the most samples to try. The key lime jelly beans are so good- slightly tart. The cookies that we tried were flaky and flavorful. The salt water taffy was soft and chewy and had a citrusy flavor. I don't normally like salt water taffy but this didn't taste like a normal taffy. The first time we came into the store (yes, we came multiple times), it was to purchase the limeade. It was such a refreshing citrusy drink!

Liz W.

Yelp
This pie was amazing so creamy and tangy. The ambiance was very cute and limes all over the wallpaper.

Jin P.

Yelp
Kermit's was such a fun spot to visit. They have so many key lime related products and what's great is that they offer samples! We got to try their cookies, fudge, peanuts, and taffy. Ended up getting bags of cookies to bring back for ourselves, friends and family. They also offer samples of key lime dog treat which our pup loved very much. Key lime pies are pretty good, a little sour for my taste but good regardless. Kermit's in Duval is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

Alexandra L.

Yelp
The key lime pie here was amazing! The best we have had in Key West! The ordering process was easy and fast. The service was also good. They also have local cookies you can sample and buy. The ambience could be a little friendlier. They could also add some drink options for when you dine in. They also do not have public restrooms. Overall very good pie and we will definitely be back!

Wendy F.

Yelp
If you love Key Lime pie, Kermit's is no doubt the place to go. I'm from the north, and I like mine a little sweeter but the creaminess sucks me in every time. Perfect for sharing, and enjoying on a stroll down the seaside dock. Get it to go, the service is quick, and despite the cute patio, they don't keep it dry, so if there's been any rain at all, it'll be closed.

Jaclyn C.

Yelp
Yes!!! Eat here! The lobster roll is phenomenal. The guys working the window are patient and kind to new comers. We will be back if we are ever in Key West again!

Samra H.

Yelp
I tried key lime pie from three different places and Kermit's was my favorite. It is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Their key lime cooler cookies are so good. The shop has other variety of cookies and some candy as well. The store is clean and service was good.

DeAnna R.

Yelp
Cute shop! I'm determined to try at least 10 types of key lime pie before our vacation is over. This was the first one. It was good! Fresh and tangy like key lime pie is supposed to be.

KayAnna A.

Yelp
So many fun key lime themed foods and gifts! Staff is super nice and friendly, especially with their great recommendations. We came in for key lime pie on a stick and it was well worth it! My fiancé got it covered in chocolate and I got it covered in white chocolate. Both were delicious but I definitely enjoyed the white chocolate more as it was lighter and didn't mess with the key lime pie flavor as much. Super dense yet still light and fluffy, like cheesecake! Definitely go try it. They have other delicious key lime flavored snacks too. The cookies were also delicious!

Todd J.

Yelp
Cute shop and the best Key Lime Pie I had in Key West. I was expecting something a little more "homemade" feeling, or perhaps pulpy but it seemed mass produced, like a high quality pie I can find at a Sprouts or something like that. The best key lime pie I've had is in California in various spots. Who woulda thunk right? Having said that, Kermit's was still good.

Christy G.

Yelp
Had the frozen key lime on a stick -white chocolate! Amazing. Brought home a key lime pie and some key lime cookies.

Brenda R.

Yelp
Plenty of options in a small little store. We had the chocolate covered frozen key lime pie. It was definitely one of the top key lime pies I've had. The gentleman inside did greet us, but did not offer to help or answer any questions. Since the store is fairly small it was difficult to really enjoy it since there were so many people in there. Well it felt like a lot if people, but maybe it was due to the size of the store.

Lacee E.

Yelp
Best Key Lime Pie in Key West. No question! The Key Lime Cookies are excellent! My boyfriend and I tried five different Key Lime Pies. I will not discuss the competition. I will say, there is no strong competition. Kermit's is the best. The cost of one slice is reasonable. The pie is served cold and with a warm friendly smile. They do have a place to sit down and enjoy your pie. If not, you can get it to-go.

Sharon C.

Yelp
Everything I expected in a key lime pie. The tart & fresh filling along with the nice solid crust was balanced perfectly with the dollops of whipped cream. My friend got the coconut key lime pie and that filling was a bit more firm and added a great depth of flavor to the pie. A must-go in KW!

Juan B.

Yelp
A definite must to include in your Key Lime Pie taste tour. Smooth, creamy, and a balanced combination of sweet and tart. They also have many key lime pie themed knick knacks.

Miranda G.

Yelp
When in Key West, you got to eat Key Lime! This shop had lots of various pastries and goods that were key lime flavored. We got some pies and ice cream here and they were great. They also have a seating area outside to enjoy the food.

Sydney B.

Yelp
Can you say you even went to Key West if you didn't try the Key Lime pie? Pictured Kermit's Key Lime pie on a stick and a cafe latte from the Cuban Coffee Queen. Fun fact they're sold together! Coffee and dessert all in one place? Count me in! This pie on a stick I got every day we were in Key West. Can also buy at the Kermit's store. Have shipped the pie home twice it was that good. #bergerknowsbest

Debra G.

Yelp
Get the chocolate covered key lime pie on a stick. It's spectacular!!! Regular key lime pie is available, too. So are some key lime cookies, peanuts and fudge.

Erin M.

Yelp
The gluten free key lime pie was amazing it made me super happy. The people were very friendly and it is a cute little shop. This will be a must stop when I am in Key West.

Aidan H.

Yelp
Key lime pie was ok. Kept hearing this is the best place for key lime pie. Not so. Found better key lime pie elsewhere

Kevin G.

Yelp
I am not a big key lime pie fan so I'm not a good judge. I can say that Kermit's uses real whipped cream and the crust was not soggy as most are. There are multiple locations and apparently they also ship. So for me it is five stars but remember I'm a key lime novice.
