Google
An Amazing spot to get a clear panoramic view of Downtown Seattle. The best viewing point is located at the end of the park beyond the railing, and that is the spot to get best picture for Seattle Downton Background. This park is located in a residential neighborhood and must not be very comfortable for the residents as tourists swarm this spot. The place is easily accessible from downtown with a couple of buses number 2 and 13 that drop you off at a 4 minute walk. There are 8 city facing benches that allow a calm viewing. There are a couple of telescopes installed that can be used with coins. There are nice grass gardens and a unique sculpture as well. The park is dog friendly and short duration free street parking is available. This is also a good spot for a picnic on a nice day.

Google
Kerry Park is one of the most iconic and breathtaking viewpoints in all of Seattle. If you want that perfect postcard view of the Seattle skyline with the Space Needle in the foreground and Mount Rainier standing majestically in the background, this is the spot. No trip to Seattle is complete without visiting this small but unforgettable park. Located in the Queen Anne neighborhood, Kerry Park is easy to reach by car or rideshare. Parking can be a little limited since it’s a residential area, so visiting early in the morning or around sunset is best. The park itself is small — just a few benches, a grassy slope, and a railing — but the view it offers makes it one of the most photographed spots in the Pacific Northwest. I went around sunset, and the scene was magical. The sky turned golden and then deep orange as the city lights started to glow, creating a perfect balance of urban and natural beauty. On a clear day, you can even spot Mount Rainier in the distance, which makes the view absolutely breathtaking. At night, the Space Needle shines brightly, and it’s one of the most romantic and peaceful spots to just stand and take it all in. There’s no entry fee, and you can stay as long as you like. It’s also a great place for photography — whether you’re using a DSLR, phone, or drone (outside restricted zones). Many locals come here for quick evening walks or to show the view to visiting friends and family. 💡 Tips: Best time to visit: Sunset or after dark for city lights. Bring a jacket — it can get windy. Limited parking, so plan accordingly. Don’t forget your camera! 📸 All photos and videos in this review were personally captured by me during my visit. Overall, Kerry Park perfectly captures the spirit of Seattle — calm, scenic, and full of character. A must-visit spot for anyone who wants to see the city at its most beautiful.

Ruchi S.

Google
Kerry Park is the perfect spot for that classic Seattle skyline view. The Space Needle, downtown, and even Mount Rainier on a clear day — absolutely stunning. It’s a small viewpoint, so it can get crowded, but totally worth a quick stop, especially at sunset.

Raz K.

Google
Definitely a beautiful view of the city. Worth going to. As far as a park goes, not really much of one besides the benches looking out. Just thin. So don’t expect a playground and trails and gazebos or anything. Haha. It’s all about the skyline view- and that’s perfect!

Helly K.

Google
Come see this gorgeous post card view for yourself because the photos do not do it justice! My boyfriend and I went last night and got so lucky with weather that we were able to see Mount Rainier in the background! So beautiful, and great little spot to hang out

sandhya J.

Google
It is definitely one of the best spots to get an amazing view of the skyline and more. One should also walk up to the end of the road if you are around sunset time to view one of those awesome seattle sunsets. Don't expect the park to be like any other big parks.. it's just a small place on the side of the street with a few benches.

Govind S.

Google
This is a perfect spot to spend an evening watching the sunset. The golden light beautifully illuminates the Seattle skyline and Mount Rainier in the distance. While it's a small space that can get crowded, the incredible view makes it worth it. Free on-street parking is available but can be tricky to find. If you're looking for one of the best views of the Seattle skyline, this should be at the top of your list.

Google
absolutely banger spot for views of the city! it's probably cliché and overcrowded for locals but i would definitely pop by here tons if i lived here. whether you're taking iPhone pics or shooting with a huge lens, the view is just superb and worth parking down the block for! unskippable!
google avatar

Alexis V.

Yelp
wow! No wonder Grey's Anatomy had this as a film location! And, no wonder a lot of people come here for photoshoots! got to see a beautiful wedding while here. A bit difficult to park with the uphill side street, so get good at parallel parking, hahaha u can already tell from the photos, but it is such a sight with the Seattle city lights and skyline. Looks better at night if you like bright, but daytime is just as nice, too. Dealer's choice? Again, small park here, so cannot really picnic, but nice to sightsee, take pictures, and appreciate the city that u are in :) ...maybe skateboard? Just watch for the crowd!

Yelp
Fantastic views here of the Seattle downtown skyline, including the Space Needle. Tucked away in the charming Queen Anne neighborhood, Kerry Park has phenomenal views of Seattle downtown. Like the kind shown on postcards. (The other vantage point would be from the water if you take a boat cruise or ferry.) It's quite the hike if you're walking from downtown. The last four or so blocks are murderous on a San Franciscan level. The grade is at least 25, perhaps higher. There are maybe four park benches up here (and a staircase to the lower Bayview-Kinnear Park with a playground). There is "parallel" street parking but no lot. Also, there are frequent shuttle-sized vehicles bringing tourists and local school groups to this point. But, alas, I spent 90 minutes here just to sit on a bench, watch seaplanes, jets, and ferries and the sky change. It was sublime. PRO TIP: a local told me to walk five blocks west to another park, Marshall Park, where there are fantastic views of Smith Cove and some of the cruise terminal area. Loved this place too. (Also parallel parking here.)

Yelp
This is definitely a 5 stars for the view. You get sweeping panoramas of Downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay, and even Mount Rainier. Recommended to visit during a clear sunny day for the sun set. However, there will be crowds as this is one of the famous sunset spot in the city.
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
I saw this place from my laptop as one of those Microsoft wallpaper/login screens. Was hoping to go there one day and boy I was not disappointed! What a great view! So good that someone was getting their wedding photos that same day I was there! Great place to chill, eat ice cream, chat and even get a workout in the stairs!! Will come back for that workout in the future!
google avatar

Jamie K.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem! The only way we found it was thanks to an uber driver! The most beautiful view of the city. It's much more prettier in person. It would be nice to bring lunch and to relax at. A must goto, it wasn't crowded at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Kerry Park is one of the best spots to catch Seattle's iconic skyline. You get postcard-perfect views of downtown, the Space Needle, and on a clear day even Mt. Rainier in the background. It's a small park, but perfect for photoshoots, sunsets, or just enjoying the view. Street parking is available, though it can get tight during peak times. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it's a great place to bring visitors for that classic Seattle experience.
google avatar

Hadley B.

Yelp
Amazing views of the Seattle Space Needle! Too hazy to see Mount Rainer, but still stunning.
google avatar

Wendi K.

Yelp
Absolutely breathtaking any time of year, any type of weather. Say hello to a wide panoramic view of Seattle - including the needle and Mt. Rainier. I am so grateful parks (viewpoint?) like this exist. :) They really highlight the beauty of our city. There are a few benches here to chill at too if you want to sit and take it all in. Here's a perfect Seattle morning: Getting brunch at a spot nearby Queen Anne and wandering down and enjoy the views at Kerry park.

Yelp
It is my belief that an invisible shield trapped my son in the Kerry Park Sculpture. I have never seen him act like this before. However the shield was released, and we enjoyed the Seattle Views #Classof81
google avatar

Yelp
+ The denizens of the Internet weren't belying. This park really does offer a fantastic view of dt Seattle, including the Space Needle, Mt Rainier, and Puget Sound. Other parks, such as Olympic Structure Park, don't offer a view of all these iconic things in one standard frame. + Free access. - No restrooms or water here. Go before you go! + Decent amount of free public street parking. + Many people here.
google avatar

Austin G.

Yelp
Come for a phenomenal view of Seattle's skyline. There's a ledge you can sit on and enjoy the sight. Other than the view, there are a few benches, grassy areas, and a sculpture. Below is a playground and field.
google avatar

Janet L.

Yelp
This place is breathtaking! My photo doesn't justify how pretty the city really is! Glad my husband found this place and took me there! He has an interest in photography, so it was the perfect spot for him to enjoy the 20-minute mini-deep-dive session. While he was doing that, I had a moment to close my eyes and enjoy the breeze. I went there in May and the weather was beautiful! A bit cooler and stronger wind towards the end when the sun was almost all set. Be sure to bring a jacket just in case!

Yelp
Check out the good views of Seattle from this park that's always got photographers and other influencers. It seems to be the best spot to see the city skyline including the Space Needle. Kerry Park can get crazy busy at times. Always seems like there's some event going on here. This is a popular place for things like wedding photos and that kind of stuff other people pretend to care about it seems. A kind of hard place to get to with a lot of walking up stairs and crap. It's located on Queen Anne Hill. This is considered the best place to get views of the city skyline. Also you can see the natural beauty. This offers good looks at Elliott Bay and Mount Rainier. All this here and the park is only an acre. Before getting to it there's a playground. The stairs lead up to a platform with a few benches where you can look out and sit. A sculpture by Doris Totten Chase is at the center. Changing Form is a simple looking but classic structure. An interesting history. It was donated by lumber magnate Albert S. Kerry and his wife Katherine. They lived close to it and thought everyone should get to enjoy the views. For sure a lot of people have seen these even if it wasn't from here. This is a popular spot for television shows and newscasts to film openings. Got to go and check out the city. It's located on West Highland Drive between 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West on a big ass hill. The climb up is the worst thing about it but it's worth it so whatever.

Yelp
After grabbing lunch at Veggie Grill in Downtown, my friend took me to Kerry Park. He described the park has postcard worthy views. I didn't know what to expect as I didn't bookmark this park to see on my itinerary. Once we got there, I couldn't stop saying, "Wow!!" and said, it about 20 times. Seattle skyline is remarkable and I just knew I needed to get a picture of myself with that in the background. My friend made a comment about Frasier, but I never saw that show before so I didn't get the reference. I do know that if I saw views like that daily, I wouldn't want to move out of the city either. There were a few benches that were occupied. I love the Seattle skyline!!
google avatar

Huyen N.

Yelp
A small so called "park" in a residential area with street parking that shows the Seattle skyline with the space needle in view. Came for a quick photo and left, as it should be the only purpose of visiting.
google avatar

Wendy L.

Yelp
If there's one thing I would recommend to someone who is visiting Seattle for the first time, I would highly recommend Kerry Park. It is a must, IMO. Kerry Park is a small neighborhood park with the best panoramic view of Downtown Seattle and the iconic Space Needle. You get a great vantage point of the city and its surrounding. It's quite peaceful just staring at the scenic view. Parking is available along the street for free. Just be respectful of the neighbors, who allow visitors to check out this spot for free. There are a couple benches to sit on.
google avatar

Raymond L.

Yelp
I'm not a big sightseer but friends brought me up to Kerry park to view the city lights and a view of the space needle. It was a nice view and with a very calm evening, I guess it was worth the trip. To top it off, a view of a partial autumn moon was also clearly in the sky.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
Skip the Space Needle and come to Kerry Park!! Or both..but tbh I liked my experience better at this park and the view a lot more than at the Space Needle. The pictures and videos speak for themselves :') The park is so beautiful, it's not big per se, actually more of a small scenic stop, but offered so much beauty! My friends and I stopped for to-go coffee before coming here and spent quality time sitting on the ledge and admiring Seattle. This part of town is very elevated allowing for the skyline view. It had rained that morning and by the time we got there the sun had come out and we even got to see a rainbow!! Such a lovely experience. ¨
google avatar

Terri C.

Yelp
This is one of the best spots we've found for terrific views of Seattle. It's very popular, but we usually find street parking right away. On a clear day, you can see Mount Rainier. Enjoy the priceless scenery for free!
google avatar

Connie M.

Yelp
Incredible views. Ample parking and seating. Fun place to catch the skyline and take pics and just hang out especially on a clear day! I enjoyed it here when the sun was poking through.
google avatar

Mandy W.

Yelp
you can definitely count on Kerry Park if you want an overview of Seattle and of course the City Skyline. It was my first stop when I landed in Seattle. It is a beautiful small park and there are parings available on the street. the weather was windy and gloomy when I visited but I still loved it. I would consider coming back in the summer time.
google avatar

Mei T.

Yelp
This park has such a beautiful view of the city, Mount Rainier covered in snow, and the Space Needle. The view was spectacular, and the best thing was "it's free!" There's a cool sculpture where you could climb on--a great photo op! On the side of the park is a path that takes you to a mini playground for the kids. We enjoyed the view and took some nice photos. Definitely check out this park!
google avatar

Yelp
google avatar

Angela T.

Yelp
A must do Seattle attraction. Lots of people walking around but it's very picture friendly :) also, a great view of the space needle
google avatar

KC C.

Yelp
The view speaks for itself! I can only imagine what it looks like at night when the skies are clear. I was passing through and took a moment to soak up the sun and enjoyed the view on a lovely sunny day. I recommend adding this to your list of places to visit while in Seattle!
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Nice view of the Seattle skyline. You can see the Space Needle and Lake Union. My kids enjoyed the playground. There's no parking lot, you just park along the neighborhood.
google avatar

Holley Janae P.

Yelp
Kerry Park is a great place to see the Seattle skyline. Although the hike to the top of the park is steep, we enjoyed the exercise. It was well worth it for the lovely view of the ocean, space needle, and buildings sweeping across the horizon. Definitely a fun and free stop to make on your trip to the city of Seattle.
google avatar

Jordan B.

Yelp
Kerry Park was on every "must-see" list I read before visiting Seattle so I had to see it for myself! It's known for providing an absolutely breathtaking view of Seattle's skyline, and for being the perfect spot for capturing the perfect Instagram-worthy photos. In addition to the great views and Instagram-worthy aesthetics, Kerry Park's well-maintained greenery and cozy benches create a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll with a friend or a peaceful moment of reflection by yourself. All in all, the "must-see" lists I read were not lying about how awesome Kerry Park is. Whether you're a local looking for a quiet escape or a visitor wanting to soak in the beauty of Seattle and get a pic for the gram, Kerry Park is a must-visit destination that consistently delivers an amazing view of the city.
google avatar

Mimi N.

Yelp
If anyone is visiting Seattle for the first time, this is always the go to spot that I recommend to friends and family. For the iconic sweeping views of Seattle, with the Space Needle and the lovely waters, Kerry Park will satisfy all those requirements. In recent years, this place has definitely grown in popularity, so do expect a hoard of tourists and locals alike at this spot. I do recommend coming here at least sunset or night time for the city glow. Parking is super limited so if you're visiting town, try to Uber or bus here and avoid the hectic ness :)
google avatar

Diana C.

Yelp
Great views of the city and skyline! Small grassy area with benches to sit and enjoy the view. Mostly a viewpoint though if you're looking for larger green spaces. Also very popular and crowded year round if it's not raining. Would definitely recommend though!
google avatar

Emily T.

Yelp
One of my favorite parks if you're looking for gorgeous views in Seattle! When it's busy, parking can be a little difficult to find. We parked on the street and walked towards the park. I've been during both daytime and nighttime and if you want to see the skyline all lit up, come at night! Lots of folks come here to take photos and enjoy the view.
google avatar

Nelly M.

Yelp
One of my favorite sport in town! A great place for gatherings and pickinks. Specially summer time, we get together for all sorts of events and activities. Nice place for a get-together!
google avatar

Babette C.

Yelp
This is the location to go if you need a photo of you in front of the Seattle skyline with the Sky Needle in the shot. Took my mom and aunties up here to take some shots and it was really endearing to see those weak, elderly ladies smile and joke as they took photos with each other, hugging and laughing as they posed near the statue and in front of the view. It's a pretty good place for a quick walk if your puppy needs to relieve itself (please be responsible and pick up after your pooch) and there's always a couple of spots freeing up just as you pull up for easy parking and a quick photo.
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
Kerry Park has the best view of Seattle! Every time I come here, I feel like I'm living out my grey's anatomy dreams. The park is perfection because of the view you get of the Seattle skyline including the space needle. The park is easily accessible and free. It's not a large park, but there are plenty of spots to get the perfect view. I would highly recommend visiting the park by car. I've walked to the park before but because it's located up a hill, it's quite the work out! Seattle is a great city and taking in the views at Kerry Park remind you of that. I do think it's worth taking a trip to come here to see this view.
google avatar

Matty E.

Yelp
Gorgeous lookout of the Seattle skyline -- great for a photo-op. We parked a few blocks away on a side street, no issue finding a spot.
google avatar

Ana T.

Yelp
Very cool viewpoint to check out, but come early to find parking in the neighborhood. The streets are very small and tight so it's not too easy to get around. It's a great view to see, but the mountain is very faint that I barely noticed it.
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
My picture doesn't do it justice, but the view from here was breathtaking. Absolutely amazing! I'm sure it's even more beautiful on a clear, sunny day. Stop by here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!!
google avatar

Jan D.

Yelp
Kerry Park is very small and always full with people. The view is definitely amazing though. I feel bad for everyone who lives in the area as it can be quite hectic for all when they have to find parking or have people over. The noise as well. 4 stars for a beautiful view of the city.
google avatar

Carrie M.

Yelp
The views of the Seattle skyline are really beautiful and clear here. This very small park is located in a neighbourhood and has a great view of the Space Needle. The lower section has a playground for kids.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
There's a reason this place has 1,000+ reviews!!! There's nothing like that Seattle skyline view. Yes, your legs will fee a bit like jello! That hill is no joke, but then you reach this little oasis, where the city skyline peaks above the lush greenery of the park below. You'll see the buildings and Space Needle shrouded in golden light and reflect on how cool this city really is! Then you just have to try taking the baby steps back down the hill (for real feels like the momentum will get the better of you here).
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
I didn't read the reviews before coming here, so I didn't know what to expect. After coming here, I'm glad I didn't spend the money to go up to the space needle. I actually ended up visiting this destination last on my mini trip to Seattle, but it turned out to be a really nice day, not crowded, and good way to kill 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect day...it was partly cloudy, so I couldn't see Mt. Rainer. I visited on a Sunday morning and easily found parking right in front. I didn't really spend too much time walking around the entire park, but it's reqlly just a mini park on a hillside, and you park along the top. There is artwork in the center and a viewing area with rails. They have 1 small telescope for magnified viewing for 50 cents. Come here for great views of downtown!!

Mary C.

Yelp
Oh what a beautiful park! We got to see the prettiest flowers as well. I'd definitely like to go back
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Kerry Park is a delightful place to take in the popular city view. Living in the area, I often work it into my walk and notice that parking can sometimes get bogged down right in front of the park, but if you go a bit further there are plenty of spaces just one to two blocks up in front of the homes. On the right side edge of the lookout there are stairs which go down to the next street. I think the stairs are a great place to view the skyline and snap some pictures without anyone in front of you. If you go down the stairs, there is a playground at the base, which is very nice for kiddos to burn off some energy. Diagonal from that playground is another lookout point where you have yet another view of the city which is delightful and less visited.
google avatar

PatrickJ T.

Yelp
Popular place in Seattle to watch a beautiful sunset. Better get here early so you can find street parking close by. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the sunset from the park. Well, we did not arrive early enough to find close parking in the neighborhood. Still, we all needed the exercise so the walk was welcoming to most of us. The evening we came, the sky was quite clear. We got an excellent view of the beautiful sunset. As a bonus, we also got fabulous views of the downtown Seattle skyline, Space Needle, and Mount Ranier. Great Photo Opp destination!
google avatar

Marcus S.

Yelp
Sitting atop of Queen Anne is Kerry Park. Photo op Hotspot of Seattle. You can see right into downtown, across the water and beyond. The park sits in the middle of a neighborhood street and as you come upon it is an overlook with a well known - terrific view of the city. Many tourists and locals a like will be present as was so on this visit. You may have to hang around a bit to line up your perfect photo shot. There is a playground and some open field space for youngsters or your dog friend to run around that sit below the overlook with steps leading up and down to it. On the clearest of days you should be able to see A complete view that envelops downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle promontory, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier all together. Coming to Seattle, this is likely one of the places you'll take a visitor or suggest to them.
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
This is the most amazing view of Seattle from this location! Postcard perfect! My kids have been here before so they told me about it. I felt so strongly about it that I rented a car right at the airport to come here, and I'm glad I did! It's a very small park, but worth the long uphill drive parking was available, but be careful during busy days. Try to avoid coming early in the morning or late in the afternoon when people are trying to get back to their houses!
google avatar

Harry S.

Yelp
Kerry Park does not need any introduction. It is THE place for the quintessential Seattle view of the Space Needle and Mount Rainier. All Seattle landscape photographers end up here at some point of their photography career or hobby, capturing this view in various light conditions, sprinkled with festive fireworks, and/or decoratively smudged with spooktacular fog or dramatic clouds. This almost cliche-like view never gets old and continues to attract locals and tourists alike on a daily basis. Sharing my takes of this Seattle view taken over the past few years under different conditions.

Yelp
Here's what you need to do: Prep: Find a clear, sunny day. Brace yourself for crowds of people taking photos like it's the Eiffel Tower. Step 1: find a friend or stranger with halfway decent photography skills. iPhone's portrait mode will probably work fine; you don't need a fancy camera (though it wouldn't hurt). Step 2: Take photos with a quintessential Seattle view in the background. Step 3: Update *all* your social media and dating apps with the new picture. Step 4: Let the torrent of likes and matches come in* ~~~ Jokes aside, this is where you would see *the* skyline view of Seattle, including the water and Mt. Rainier if it's a clear weather day, and it's great for photos or just a great view. It is also free and doesn't close at night. While it is officially called a park, it is about 600 sqft of land on an elevation. A place to stop, take in the view, and maybe come back once in the evening or night. Seeing how expansive the view is and that it is free, I can say Kerry Park exceeded my expectations enough to earn the fifth star! * Results not guaranteed

Yelp
What's there to say that hasn't been said in 900+ reviews? Kerry Park is definitely a spot to come for iconic Seattle skyline views, but I wouldn't say it's a spot to come and spend a lot of time. The park itself is rather small, and obviously a touristy attraction, so you can usually count on it to be busy. Parking is street parking only. The couple of times I have been here, I haven't had trouble snagging a spot (and more often than not, it's free). If you're travelling to Seattle and want to see amazing views of downtown Seattle complete with Mount Rainier and the Space Needle, Kerry Park is the spot to be. On a clear day, the view is gorgeous during the day and night! TLDR; do it for the 'gram, but don't expect to be here for hours. Still worth it!
