Positive|1. The reception staff and cleaning staff were very friendly|2. Great hotel location. Close to the ferry dock, taxi rank, banks, the square where the Ottoman-era Clock Tower is located, restaurants, cafes, banks, etc.|3. Clean and spacious room|4. Bathroom with good water flow||Negative:||1) The hotel photos are not recent.|We know that, as is the case with most hotels that advertise on the internet, their photographs are not recent so do not expect anything similar to them.||2) Discomfort getting to the room passing through people eating.|To get to the room you have to pass through the tables in the patio that separates the reception from the building where the rooms are located. This wouldn't be uncomfortable if that place was designated only for hotel guests, but in the afternoons, the patio becomes a restaurant and the tables fill up.||3) Garbage and cigarette butt smells on the way to the room.|After going around the restaurant tables, you go through a hallway where on the left side they have a cabinet where they keep trash cans and dirty ashtrays.||4) Lack of order and cleanliness|After passing through the furniture with trash and dirty ashtrays, there are 4 steps. When you go up – on the right-hand side – you can see discarded garden furniture that causes a very bad impression and when you enter the building where the rooms are, you find carpets, vacuum cleaners and – dirty – bed linens thrown on the floor.||5) The room|• Although it is spacious, the double bed is pushed up against the wall, which makes it very uncomfortable to get in and out of bed (on the side facing the wall). There is a piece of furniture that only had a hook to hang clothes and the space is not adequate to store clothes; In addition, there was no furniture or bench to place the suitcase.|• The mattress seemed quite worn out, we were able to sleep but not comfortably|• We were unable to use the sort of desk for computer use because the electrical outlet was occupied by the connections for the TV, the mini bar and a lamp. (I didn't dare unplug the lamp for fear of causing an accident)|• The Internet was slow|• The bathroom urgently needs cleaning in areas that look disgusting and the shower is missing one of the doors so when you shower you have to be careful that the water doesn't spill out onto the bathroom floor (by the way, in the old photos of the hotel you can see that the bathroom had both doors)||1. The area where they offer breakfast is poor and untidy|• Stained and/or dirty tablecloths|• Food placed on the bar where drinks are served giving a poor appearance.|• Quality of the food offered average|• They offer paper cups for drinking coffee|If the Kervansaray Hotel, which runs a restaurant and has the space, tablecloths and dishes to -with a little effort- offer a buffet that invites you to sit at the table, even if it was the same food, we cannot understand how it is possible that they offer their guests the minimum even though breakfast is free.||Conclusion: If the negative points I mention don't bother you, this is an “acceptable” hotel for those who are just looking to sleep in a clean and central place. Despite the negative details, we had a good time at this hotel, although if we were to return, we would look for something better.||Our opinions have always been honest and not intended to harm or offend. Our purpose is that people who read it know what to expect and that hotel managers pay attention to details that they can easily solve to provide better service to their guests.

My friend and I had a good stay here. It has a great location in the center of town, right near the water. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars and it was hopping as we were there on the weekend. There was some street noise, but the windows were closed as it was cold and it wasn't enough noise to disturb us. If you like to sleep with the windows open, it might be an issue. It is a lovely old building with a courtyard that would be fabulous in nice weather. We had cold and rain, so we didn't sit out, but it would be a nice quiet hang out space in the nicer weather. The breakfast was good and included. One tip - I found the hotel through one of the online booking sites that have hundreds of hotels. I then went to the hotel's own site to make the booking as I believe the hotel gets to keep the money without paying a large percentage to the collective site. The price on the first site was 90 Euro for two nights. The price I was quoted when I contacted them directly (price not listed on their site) was 60 Euro but didn't specify if this was for one or two nights. When we arrived, it was 60 per night, making it more expensive than if I had made the booking elsewhere. Do consider this as a place to stay, but shop around among the sites that list it to find the best deal.

The decoration and equipment services of this hotel are very good, with a quaint and elegant front hall and back garden. The room is spacious, clean and stylish. But I must suggest not to buy their breakfast (if it's not in the peak season), which is expensive and there is nothing to eat. Then what made me angry was that when I gave this reaction to their manager, the attitude of replying was very bad, which greatly ruined my experience. Secondly, the waiter knocked on our door loudly before we checked out, which was completely different from my experience in the UK.

Very well located close to the Clock Tower. Accessibility with car is limited and so is parking. However, Çanakkale center is not large. Parking will be available in walking distance. The hotel is sharing the garden with a restaurant which means as a hotel guest it is not actually an open area where you might just sit around and relax. The restaurant entertains customers for dinners as well. The building is built of beautiful red brick masonry with tiny french stairs entrance. The room we stayed at was probably originally an annex to the main. It had three levels with steep stairs connecting them. This made is slightly difficult to move with a young kid. Since all floors are connected the bedroom area was hot and humid. There is an AC, however the upper level does not benefit much. I would recommend some additional fans for this very specific room, both in the bathroom and in the bedroom.

Modest place for the price Very small bathrooms Poor breakfast Price for three bedrooms, one night was 90€ However, they tried to charge us 130€ as they claimed that each room is for one person, while our booking reservation clearly mentioned 5 adults and 2 children. We waited until the manager came to solve the issue, which I did not like. No parking available, extra 15 lire for car, they took it, but we had to bring it back from the parking. The car was scratched as well, and I had to pay the rental company. Location is very good, in the middle of all the action. Recommended for singles, not for families

Comfortable big bed in a small room. Hotel doesn't have it's own parking but has agreement with parking in about 250 m from hotel. Behind the main entrance there is a beautiful calming garden with fountain and refreshing green grass. I didn't like narrow curtains on windows. I find them insufficient. Shower cabin door in my room was absent.

An absolutely remarkable building with such wonderful character! The staff is very hospitable and helpful, breakfast was terrific and the courtyard was very beautiful. We just couldn't get over the centrality of the hotel as it is withing walking distance from just about everything you would need.

This was our most disappointing hotel in Turkey. The website has sold us on the idea of an exceptional mansion, with splendor and ease. Yet the reality was an aging interior, and very small, basic room with old amenities and in urgent need of an upgrade. It wasn't pleasant at all and lacked what you would expect from even a 3 star hotel. The breakfast was poor....no one to assist in the serving and just standard fare left out. Give this one a skip till they upgrade
