Kewpie’s offers a delightful experience of traditional Bengali food in a cozy, homely setting. The restaurant feels like it's inside a house, with dim lighting, handicrafts, and antiques adding to the charm. The food presentation in clay utensils is perfect for Instagram!
We ordered the combo thali, which had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. The vegetarian dishes like luchi, dal, shukto, and begun bhaja were flavorful, and the non-veg options—fish paturi and mangsho—were authentically Bengali. The dessert, mishti doi and sondesh, was a sweet way to end the meal.
However, the service was quite slow (about 30 minutes), and while the food was delicious, the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. Overall, it’s a must-try for anyone looking to experience authentic Bengali cuisine, though opinions might differ between locals and visitors.
