"Originally built to draw customers into a business in its chicken body, Marietta, Georgia’s Big Chicken is now a beloved landmark that has been saved by the outcry of both air and road travelers. Constructed over Johnny Reb’s Chick, Chuck, and Shake in 1963, the 56-foot chicken effigy was an attempt to capitalize on the newly built highway in the area. The chicken was made with moving eyes and beak which were so shoddily constructed that it would often break the restaurant’s window when the mechanism was activated. The restaurant was eventually turned into a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise which would end up being the angular poultry’s saving grace. When the big bird was damaged by a 1993 storm, plans were put into motion to take down the landmark. However locals to whom terms such as “take a right at the Big Chicken,” and “just about a mile past the Big Chicken” had become commonplace would have none of it. In addition, pilots from a nearby air force base also complained because they were so used to using the restaurant icon to chart their course. With the immediate and strong uproar, KFC actually paid to have the Big Chicken restored including the eye and beak mechanism which no longer shatters glass. The Big Chicken may remain to this day known more for its use as a directional reference than an eatery. Know Before You Go I-75 Exit 265, left at light onto Hwy 41, about 1/2 mile, Roswell Street." - Jason Michael Walker, s sharonrose979, chasepopt, sharonrose979, JoeBenSimo, M Martin, Collector of Experiences, Martin, thegenxjourney, wolfnotes, r robbinsj, punkeymonkey529, serluna45, Rachel, c cynthiadebock

Visited today and ordered two meals in drive thru, however when I opened my sandwich it looked pretty bad. I was a little tuned off but hungry, went to take a bite and noticed two long white hairs. Went back to return the food, as we had not eaten any of it and was told no refunds could be given and that I would not receive a response if I tried to reach the store manager. I was told the store manager would not be in for two days but I could come back then and talk to her. I explained we were leaving the food and would like our receipt, I was told there was a trash can on my way out! I wasn't expecting hair in my food but I also wasn't expecting such poor service..

Google
The best tasting KFC that Ive had in a long time. Everything was well seasoned and tasty. The KFC is has some history on the walls that you can enjoy while you wait also they sell KFC goodies inside.

James Zorn

Google
The Big Chicken is the best KFC I've eaten in a minute. Juicy chicken, hot food, and a fun atmosphere make for a nice little stop in Marietta. The staff was friendly, but we did order through a kiosk. Didn't see or speak to any managers. There were lots of fans buying Big Chicken Merch.

Maria Cambron

Google
The most horrible smell, we ordered 12 pieces of combo chicken and since we received the chicken it had a putrefactive smell in very bad condition and when we spoke to one of the employees he started laughing I asked him to speak to a superior and I asked him to notice that the Chicken was in bad condition and they didn't solve anything. I recommend this place and they believe that if my family gets sick I will sue them.

Google
First I was not given receipt but my bank can show amount and place it came from. I believe that was not given on purpose. I waited for fries but they were cold. One of my chicken minis was rubbery. I also got a 12 piece have not tried that yet. Very disappointed can not speak well of this establishment. All for 50 plus dollars!!!

Google
This Landmark not only impresses with its appearance and unique attraction of the giant big chicken with the moving beak but when you walk inside it's like a mini museum. Complimented with great food and great service. Very roomy and we've never been in here when it's loud and crazy or uncomfortable such a wonderful place. The staff does well and the food is consistently good. It definitely need to stop and check out this landmark.

Google
I really liked the atmosphere and the decoration. The employees were super friendly and helpful. I have to give them an extra star for service. Enjoyed the food as well. It was clean, delicious, and will come again!

Friday was not busy at all. Place was clean. The service was great. My grandkids love the big chicken.

Yelp
Overall; the KFC establishment of the Big Chicken in Marietta is a fun trip! The interior is well decorated and clean. The service is good and they have a variety of sauces. The fried chicken thigh and drumstick with mash potatoes and biscuit is a good deal for $4.99.

Yelp
KFC is chicken finger licking good. It lifts your spirits, when things are not going right. Now a days everyone needs some great chicken at the right price.

Laura R.

Yelp
just went through the drive-through at the big chicken on Cobb Parkway and was greeted by the most delightful sweetest voice i've ever heard come out of a fast food squawk box. She's extremely polite, very thorough and made my day. Her name is Diana. And the food was so tasty. My order was perfect.

Dennis D.

Yelp
This place has absolutely the worst service of any area restaurants. I was there 10 minutes before noon. When I pulled in I was planning on using the drive through. There were 4 cars ahead of me and after sitting there a couple minutes and no one moving I parked and went in. Inside there were 3 people ahead of me and NO ONE at the front counter. It was at least 3 or 4 minutes before someone came out of the back to take orders. Getting the food was very slow too. When I got home with my order, two pot pies and they only gave us one spork.

John G.

Yelp
This place is gross. Dirty floors, tables, restroom. Self service screens with no paper receipts. No ice on self service machines. Have to order a specific drink at the screen but then handed a cup. Lots of employees in the back but no one at the counter till they hand you a tray. No one cleaning this dirty place. Paid 34 bucks for awful experience. Never again.

William M.

Yelp
Friendly staff relatively clean (so it was evident that many customers leave their trash on the tables, staff). I got one of the chicken, tender wraps on cell to satisfy my chicken Craving It was lukewarm at best and very very small.

Daniel K.

Yelp
The service is beyond shit. There are no lids, no straws, no employees to help, and they weren't even busy. They forgot all sauce for all 4 orders. I personally walked behind the empty counter and grabbed lids for everyone waiting. I would never recommend this self serve shit facility.

Dan D.

Yelp
It's a chain restaurant with a big chicken decoration. It's kinda neat. Service is extremely slow, it took about 25 minutes to get a sandwich and fries... never mind the time to actually get an order in. Numerous people also came to complain about drive through orders being made wrong. Food quality though was fine, no worries there. It was overall kinda eh.

Denise D.

Yelp
Ordered take out via app. Came for pick up. Super easy. Relatively quick. There were 5 cars in front of us in the drive thru. Waited about 15 mins. All items were in the bag. F O O D 10 PC family meal, 2 sides, 5 biscuits, mashed potatoes and Cole slaw Well fried chicken. Juicy. Made well. Enjoyed it. Yum. We got everything we ordered. We would come back.

Karen S.

Yelp
do not order from this kfc. the chicken was horrible!!! taste like old grease, we ordered through doordash, our family meal was missing 4 biscuits, we did not recieve our large drink, i called them and they had no care or concern at all. sorry but they should really be shut down by the health department!!! my husband got naucious soon after he ate the chicken!!! i smelled it so i did not partake! someone should really go undercover to see what thevheck is going on. i will never order from here again....ill eat tree leaves first!!!

Bill W.

Yelp
A very early KFC and the building was built to resemble a Chicken. I reviewed the building earlier but this is on the restaurant. Not a huge fan of KFC with the exception of the Krispy Chicken. The original is too greasy We were in town to meet the newest grandchild and first granddaughter and the Mother was not moving that great that we could go out for lunch. Dine in, pick up and at the same time, Grandson love KFC. Stopped by the KFC aka The Big Chicken on the way over to my son's house and picked up a big bucket of chicken. Three year old Tyler who is a picky eater, I have never seen him eat this much. Looks like he is either a fan of the Chicken of KFC

Tia B.

Yelp
The world needs ditch diggers but not these. They sent 1/3 gravies ordered and screwed the entire order up. Do yourself a favor. KFC cannot get an order correct and only hires illiterate workers. The stuff about the in store quick pick up for app orders is hilarious because they cannot get one order right-EVER for delivery. My guess is that if you bother to check that type of order-you will be joining the line for all of the missing items.

Andy E.

Yelp
Wait 30 min for fast food and customer service is terrible. Don't think I'll come back here or the other 15 customers waiting 30 minutes will either #attitudeproblem

Kristy H.

Yelp
I live nearby this KFC. I've been there at least 5 times. Tonight was the last time. Every time we come here it's always something -- no extra crispy, no original, awful slow service, and one time nearly a fight. Tonight, my husband convinced me to go here as much as I don't like it (now I hate this place). Around 7:55pm, we went through the drive-thru, ordered a 12 pc meal (all original bc they didn't have anymore extra crispy), paid way too much for it and drove home. We get home and take a look in the bucket and immediately wonder if that's 12 pcs. I take it all out and guess what, it's only 9 pcs!! I called 7 times, 2 times it rang till the phone company hung me and the other 5 times it was busy. I get in my car and I'm Hangry! Go back up there, go inside this time bc there are 5 cars in the DT. The cashier is taking someone's order, only took him about 5 min, not once did he even acknowledge my presence. He FINALLY takes their money and casually goes in the kitchen to make their order, at this point I want to yell 'WTH?!?!', but maybe not that nicely. Another FINALLY later, one of the cooks comes out to check on me to see if I was waiting on food. I tell him what happens. He offers me some extra crispy drumsticks, but I opt for some stale chicken tenders instead. Apparently they stop cooking way before 8. I will never go back to this place. You will never leave there happy and satisfied. If I could give them zero stars I would, but the cole slaw was pretty good.

Yelp
7/9 This is not your average KFC! I read about The Big Chicken on Roadside America and decided to surprise my husband by just typing this address into the GPS. You can see the big chicken from quite a ways away! We both just started laughing. The eye moves in circles and his mouth opens and closes. We backed into a parking spot and saw a sign that we should tune into 820 AM for the Big Chicken's radio station. It is so ridiculous and corny! He tells chicken jokes and chicken puns. We laughed and laughed. We finally wandered inside and there is a life-sized statue of the Colonel (according to 'legend', he didn't like the big chicken stealing all his thunder and insisted on having his image on the bird!). It's cool, though, because your backdrop is a map of Georgia with a big star on Marietta. The service was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. They have some nice souvenirs at really reasonable prices for sale, too. I got an ornament for $2.99 (I'm an ornament whore. Can I say that? It's the truth. Three dollars is a STEAL!) It's still KFC, with the same ol' menu, so don't expect anything different there. We happen to like KFC so it suited us fine. This was the first time we saw a Pepsi Freestyle machine (the one where you use a touch screen to choose your soda and can choose different flavors). The décor inside is pretty cool. There is one wall with photos of the Colonel, a small version of the bird, and the light fixtures are made to look like buckets of chicken. It helps to have a sense of humor to come here. After all, it's just fast-food chicken, but it's a really fun stop and definitely one of the fun highlights of our trip.

Yelp
My family and I were so excited for the renovation of the Big Chicken. That excitement was short lived. It ended at the register. We should have known to walk out when we walked in and saw a large line of people who had clearly ordered crowding the pick up area waiting for their food. We ordered. The staff (Darius, I believe) was polite and friendly. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Other patrons were fed up. Many who had waited 20-30 minutes were now asking for refunds and justifiably angry. Most of those who actually did receive their meals had received them wrong. Our meal showed up 31 minutes after ordering and every order (3) was wrong! We ordered 2 famous bowl meals and a Nashville chicken tender pack. The bowls were void of gravy and included the wrong chicken and the tenders were void of the advertised new sauce that we had ordered slathered. What a waste of a beautiful new renovation! KFC NEEDS TO FIND A QUALITY MANAGER FOR THIS LOCATION!! Management is clearly severely lacking at this location. THEY ALSO NEED A DEDICATED EMPLOYEE TO MANAGE AND CLEAN THE DINNING AREA. Can you imagine if this location had a staff like that of Chick-fil-a? SOOOOO SOOO SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

Phil W.

Yelp
Everyone is lost. Been waiting 25 minutes and still no order! I've watch 5 people come back inside after their orders were wrong!

Kristy G.

Yelp
Bathrooms were disgusting, and this place is empty. Shouldn't be a reason why they are dirty. The cashier had an attitude and lack of any personality. Also the food has definitely gone done hill. Wasn't fresh. The dining room was clean. I ask for a refill for my large drink and she told me it was .20 cents. But free if I got a medium cup. It would of been cheaper to just refill my large instead of giving me another cup. Won't be back to this location.

Megan P.

Yelp
I just don't like it. The chicken is overly breaded and isn't cooked through, they rarely ever have chicken ready to order & they almost always messed up the order. I give it two stars because the service was pleasant.

Patricia K.

Yelp
I live near this restaurant so it should have been convenient. When I entered the restaurant, no one greeted me and there was no one at the counter. I started to look at the merchandise hoping that someone would at least check on who came into the store. Didn't happen. A woman came into the store, and the manager came out from behind in the kitchen to ask her if she was picking up and order. Still no greeting to acknowledge the presence of another customer. I decided to go to the restroom, and encountered a two inch cockroach resting on it's back as I was approaching the restroom (in dining room). I went back to the counter to wait for help and to inform the manager of the dead roach. The customer who had come in for her pick- up order then spoke to me and said, "I guess they are only worried about the drive in customers. If I had known they were going to ignore us out here, I would not have ordered my food from here". The manager came out of the back to give the other person their order and FINALLY turned to me and asked " Are you going to order?" I looked at him and replied, " Oh! So now I'm a priority? I've been here for ten minutes and no one even said "hello", and by the way, you have a dead cockroach on the floor over there!" The manager then said, " First I waited on that young lady and now I am waiting on you. Are you ordering or not?" No "Thank you for bringing that to my attention" or " I'm sorry, we have been super busy"-nothing. Instead, he ignored the roach and the idea that I had waited for over ten minutes with no acknowledgement! THEN, when he took the first portion of the order, I paused and started to ask about the drink, he pointed at the side wall and said, " You have a machine over there". I walked out. I returned with my phone and took a picture of the cockroach- which was STILL there. I have called the board of health (and sent the picture of the roach), and the corporate office. Let's see if they can clean up their act...I will NOT be doing business at The Big Chicken.

Luani S. D.

Yelp
People are always nice here. Really cool looking inside after the remodel. They sell souvenir type things and shirts now. They have covered and netted outdoor seating which is also a plus as long as the pollen isn't bad. I typically go and get the 5 dollar fill up box or the 5 dollar bowl. Also I like their chocolate chip cookies!

Michael M.

Yelp
Horrible, horrible, horrible. This is bar none The what fast food joint I've ever been to. With zero exaggeration i waited over 20 minutes (I know, stupid me) to get my order taken. Kid running register took an order and then disappeared 3-5 minutes every time before coming back and taking another order. I ordered an piece meal, not a 50 piece, 8 pieces of chicken and was told there were no substitutions because they were low on chicken......WTF? A chicken place is low on chicken. After placing my order it took 22 minutes (pulled the time off the receipt, zero exaggeration. Apparently it took an extra 8 minutes because they ran out of corn and had to cook more. Again, what? No manager to be found to help the clearly lost employees. I get home and of course they gave me two thighs instead of breasts. Oh, they were also out of crispy chicken. I've lived in Marietta the majority of my life and 1,000% the last time that joke of a restaurant will ever see me. I wouldn't go back for free,

Matthew P.

Yelp
Second visit since renovations went much better. I used the drive-thru this time and while it wasn't quick, it was only a short wait and the food was fresh. Not much to complain about :) I should also mention that a manager sent me a message here on Yelp after I posted my last review. She politely apologized and hoped we'd try give them another shot. We did, and I'm glad.

Andrew A.

Yelp
I generally come to this KFC once or twice a week. The staff is very friendly, but they are having a bad portion issue. On many occasions I've received my popcorn chicken boxes 20% or more empty, but today it was about 40+% empty. This is ridiculous, you would almost think they were paying for the food out of their own pockets. Clean restaurant, nice staff, half of the food you order...

AlexJ S.

Yelp
The girl who took my order was rushing me like she didn't want to work. She was rude and nasty. She didn't even say thank you when I came to the window. I get home and my side of mash potatoes still had powder in it like they were still making it. Nasty!! This may be small but for this location to be a tourist attraction, it was the worst experience I've ever had at KFC!

PJ N.

Yelp
Poor service, waited in line a long time before cashier came out of kitchen, then 35 minutes of waiting before getting food.

Melanie L.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed in this location. It was my first time going to KFC and I'm definitely never going back again. Customer service is awful and there's no regard to safety. I went in to the lobby to order and no associate approached me or spoke to me. There was also a door dash person that was knocking to get inside for about 10 minutes out in the rain and no one looked at him. The doors were also locked while I was inside with other customers as well. One person received his food and wasn't able to leave because all doors were locked. It was 9:30pm on a Thursday night when their hours that they close at 11. I was not comfortable at the fact that the employees locked all doors to the point where no one could get in or out.

Kev H.

Yelp
Never been in the Big Chicken before. Just stopped by on Saturday night @ 10:49. Ordered popcorn chicken and one chicken little. Told they didn't have the bread for the chicken little. So went with the popcorn chicken. They're idea of large is a joke except for the price. And the contents was mostly crumbs and French fries; very little chicken. Awful experience and will never go back

Ian L.

Yelp
I was in the mood for fried chicken and I'd never been to the "Big Chicken" in all the time I've lived in Atlanta. I'm sad to say that it's nothing special. Just the usual KFC and maybe a little subpar.

Glenn M.

Yelp
My wife and I ate there today (September 25, 2019 around 10:00AM. We each had a two piece meal. The Chicken was either left over from the previous day or cooked in old grease. I informed the help there that something was wrong. Nothing was said but OK. I finally ask who was in charge? Spoke to another person and all they said was I am sorry. After leaving my stomach started hurting then my wife got sick. We made it home without throwing up. We both took something trying to smooth our stomach. I felt better but my wife has been sick all day. Going to the bath room several times? There was something definitely wrong. I can be contacted at 770 630 9800. The chicken was not fresh?? Help Help

Lloyd F.

Yelp
Been here 2x to this iconic/storied KFC, once in drive- thru & once as walk- in. Happy w/my meals both times. Food was fresh & dining room was expansive.

Joche' H.

Yelp
I've been to KFC three times in the past 60 days at three different locations. This one is the best one that I've been to HANDS Down. I wanted to do some shopping in the area after work, and I was hungry because I had just worked out. We went to KFC because they're one of the only chicken places nearby that have a grilled chicken option and a drive-thru. I have ordered the grilled chicken from KFCs before and sometimes it can be a little dry. I ordered a $5 fill up and everything was hot and fresh. The grilled chicken was succulent and juicy. I also want to give a tip that for small children and even bigger children the KFC Go cup can work as a good kids meal if you're not looking for a soda to come with it, and it is less money. I ordered one for my toddler and I did sample one oft the potato wedges and took a little bite of his chicken tenders, and his food was hot and fresh as well. Sometimes I will order myself a chicken go cup , when I am rushing, and the potato wedges or chicken will be a little dry, depending on how long the food has been sitting. This location provided great drive-thru service, quick service, and hot fresh food. I don't think I have ever rated a fast food place 5 stars, but this location is as good as it gets.

Adam L.

Yelp
Total corporate slop, don't waste your time or money or health on this total slop, KFC used to be good back in the 70s, once they got really big the corporate Affect took over and now it's horrible, makes you feel sick after you eat it ... The mashed potatoes are out of a box, the macaroni and cheese is out of a packet, the biscuits are premade somehow?, The coleslaw used to be good at one time had this nice creamy ,mayonnaise flavor (back in the 70s ) now it just taste like the same crap you get from Long John Silver's, it's probably out of a bag from some factory, this is just slop, I don't know why anyone would continue to eat here? stay away. I am truly confused why anyone visiting this restaurant would give it anything other than one star, especially not five stars! it makes me think that people who write reviews on here have no idea what home cooking or real food /ingredients made with skill taste like . They certainly don't cook at home and if they do they're obviously not any good at it. They're completely deluded as to what is real and what is artificial, be wary of people giving overly abundant scores Of four or five stars for anything... It completely defeats the purpose of the app and informing others. I doubt that they are knowledgeable, critical thinkers, and probably have a confused ,deluded ,naïve sense of the world around them especially that of food ,which anyone who has brains knows has been completely twisted in industrialized countries especially America ! Yes the renovations are nice,so what . no the loud techno music inside the restaurant was not fitting for southern type food or the environment, yes there is an expansive seating area although I don't why since no one really should be showing up here ...

David K.

Yelp
First time I have been there since they got the new look.... Looks great but Now the bad news.... They can't count... I ordered and paid for a 16 piece original and received a 12 piece original.... A bit of a pain since I have to drive 20 minutes to go back after being in traffic for over an hour.... That and no thies.... I hate the breast meat.... So I end up the looser.... I didn't think it was so hard of an order.... I mean I did go in and order not drive through....

Gary M.

Yelp
New remodel is nice, but staff needs some training. I don't think I have ever seen a group who were less enthusiastic about their jobs than the counter help here. Food also took forever for one of the $5 specials. How hard can it be ? Mgmt staff needs to visit Chick fil a down the street to how it is done !!!

Hikari C.

Yelp
The customer service here is horrible. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go here for the food. I was standing there waiting for somebody get my order and It was like 20 minutes. They were too busy to see me. Never come back again.

Heidi P.

Yelp
It is a KFC with a huge, moving, geometric-shaped chicken. Swirling eyes and silently flapping beak. Other than that, it's just a fast food chicken place. ...Unless you are like me and experiences actually make your food taste better. For example, milkshakes taste better when you close your eyes (try it!), pizza tastes better when you eat it top down (cheese, sauce, dough), booze tastes better when you're shooting it with friends (yoooou know!) and my fried chicken tastes better when a large, metal, animated chicken is smiling down at me. What do you think she would say if she had a voice? If you are a fan of KFC, this is just a bonus. Besides the fact that I don't think any other KFC actually says "chicken" on the building, anymore - Aren't they not allowed to call it chicken? One complaint.. The drive thru window is very weird. It somehow blends in to the wall and you drive past it thinking there's another window after it. I laughed the first time I did that and was told many people do the same. You need to experience this at least once to say you've been here and to be able to use it appropriately as a landmark, especially if you actually live in Marietta. For shame if you have not visited! Long live the Big Chicken!

Scott M.

Yelp
Yo, straight up, I LOVE KFC. Like I love it more than anyone you know....I mean if my last meal was a 3 Pc. original, with Mash Potatoes and coleslaw, I would leave here a happy man. Nonetheless, after visiting the birthplace of KFC and eating there, this place, to me, is really nothing more than a Marietta/Smyrna Landmark. I would also think this spot would have a buffet like the other KFC on Cobb Parkway...apparently that was too much to ask. The place is ultra clean, so I do like that about it, but honestly, its a toss up between this place and Popeyes... Sure does make directions a lot easier to give in Marietta though:)

Eric P.

Yelp
I don't know why anyone would ever eat here, but there is one very big reason why this otherwise benign KFC deserves a visit. The big chicken, with all of its beak-moving eye-rolling glory.

Christopher C.

Yelp
It's a standard Kentucky Fried Chicken menu, so you pretty much know what to expect when you go inside - except that the people behind the counter move pretty slowly and get your order wrong, even after you ask them to verify it. Disappointing for my first visit to the big chicken.

Shannon B.

Yelp
Hands down the single worst food experience I've ever had. Ordered my food through the kfc website and five minutes later went to pick it up (with 10 min drive) Upon arrival I asked the man at the register if my food was ready he said "it hasn't been made yet" I replied with "wait none of it has been made"? He said nope. Seeing as how there were two cars in the drive thru and one person in front of me for the line inside I thought that was odd but shook it off. About ten more minutes pass and I've seen every single person in the line go back up to the counter because there food wasn't correct. I went back up to the register and asked about the food to which another man who said he was a 'manager' said they were out of the extra crispy so they didn't make ANY of it nor did they inform me they were out what we ordered which would've been nice while I was waiting yet they continued to serve other people their food that got there after me and ordered in the store. Asked for a higher up manager and she said sorry she thought we were Grubhub ... :( spend money elsewhere. Disgusting.. not one person changed their gloves after using register, etc. not to mention the person at the register GRABBED my phone out of my hands instead of looking at it for the barcode in the middle of a pandemic

Tom S.

Yelp
It's been over year since I've been to the "big chicken" and I must say that I'm very impressed with the makeover. The look and feel is modern and clean and the entire staff was so friendly and courteous. This is back on my list as a great place to bring Atlanta visitors to to see the icon of the big chicken. You do you pay a premium for the chicken over the other chicken fast food restaurants but hey it's the big chicken sometimes you just have to splurge.

Travis B.

Yelp
The service was good and the staff was professional. The food was fresh! Took the wife and kids. Thanks

Shawn M.

Yelp
Good lord, that's a big chicken! When I told my friends from out of town who have been to the ATL more than twice that I went to the KFC for lunch, they asked if it was the big chicken one. I normally don't do the KFC, but I had to check out the hype of the icon of Marietta. So we went. I had a wrap and some mashed potatoes. The service was polite, the restaurant was clean, and checking out the mementos of saving the big chicken was kinda fun. I wouldn't go every day, but I wouldn't shun going again.

Alexis B.

Yelp
Disgusting!!!! Holy crap this place is awful. Obviously you expect disgusting food when you go to a fast food joint but wow. I actually got extremely ill after eating 1 piece of chicken from here. If you prefer not to spend your day off vomiting over and over and over again, I recommend you steer clear of this place! Yuck.

Yelp
If I could review this is a tourist attraction, I'd give it five stars, but as restaurant, it's four, thanks to the iconic building that has been so well preserved and re-purposed. Kudos to KFC for doing it! Dating back to 1963 as Johnny Rebb's, the six or seven story tall "Big Chicken" sign has a chicken with a moving beak. While the food is typical KFC, including that greasy yet sinfully delicious trademark chicken that you crave (just not too often!), the inside is world's apart from any other KFC. For starters, there's the wall of tasteful souvenirs including T-shirts. The whole ordering process is nice with very friendly and appreciative employees taking orders. Then there's along padded comfy bench on which to sit while waiting for your name to be called. In addition to the usual self-serve soft drinks, there's another whole machine of a craft-style line of soft drinks that includes pineapple cream soda, a cola, a diet cola and a root beer. There's lots and lots of seating, including various varieties of it, including large tables for families and groups, and a semi-outdoor covered seating area. Good free Wi-Fi is another bonus!

Yelp
Yes the big chicken is pretty fascinating and I always like driving by it, what with its animatronic beak and eyes. However, this KFC is really lacking in cleanliness and good service. So get your photo op here, then roll on to another KFC to order.

Yelp
Not too bad. Sometimes the wait is VERY long in the drive-through and the traffic will make you curse but, overall, it's good chicken.

Yelp
The staff here needs a little improvement on their ability to move faster for your fast food, but other than that, the food is awesome. I mean, HEY, it's KFC! and I love me some KFC. This spot is awesome because it sits under a great and historical landmark of historical Marietta; The Big Chicken.

Yelp
This is almost one of the only KFC left that I can still buy a Lemon Parfait at. That is very frustrating for me. I don't like any other parfiat but lemon. So when I am in this area. I have to buy 3 or 4 at a time. I really appreciate this KFC. Thank U for still selling my favorite dessert.
