K'gari Explorer Tours

1 and 2 day tours from Hervey Bay, Rainbow Beach and from the K’gari Resort. Our one day, 9 hr tour from Rainbow was fantastic value. We were lucky enough to have Keith as our guide, and what an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, very able driver he was. Great knowledge of the island and its history, especially the sad history of the indigenous Butchulla people. And what a truly amazing island K’gari is!

Hayden was the Most Amazing Tour Guide. His knowledge of the islands culture, the land and history made the trip 5 star. The King Fisher bay resorts are excellent. The food provided for breaky and lunch were very tasty.. The 3 day itinerary is flexible due to tides, vehicles stuck in the sand and the occasional fery mechanical issues. Thus is a REAL 4x4 bus adventure, seat belts required. A lot of bouncing around. I highly recommend this outfit.

We had a great day on K'gari. From the ferry trip across we saw turtles, dolphins and whales. Steve our driver on the island was awesome - his driving skills on the sand were just amazing and his knowledge of the island was next level. We were lucky enough to see dingos and whales. Lake Mackenzie was breathtaking and the trees at Central Station blow your mind and make you realise we have just been a blip on this planet. The buffet lunch was lovely. Sunset on the ferry home finished off our day with perfection 👌

We're new residents to Hervey Bay and wanted to explore our backyard. The one day tour itinerary was a perfect introduction to K'Gari and our driver/guide Steve was a wealth of information. We'll definitely be recommending our visitors take this tour.

3 day tour of Kgari, with a night at Kingfisher Bay and the Beach resort. Andy, our fabulous guide and driver, made the trip for us. He was knowledgeable, passionate about the island and looked after the tour group brilliantly. He struck exactly the right balance between giving us enough time to enjoy each location and moving us on to ensure we could see all the sights of the island. Food, accommodation, Andy’s commentary and the intinery were all top notch. Great memories from our trip.

Had a truly wonderful day on K'gari, with Steve as our leader. He was a fantastic driver and had an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the island, which he was happy to share with us. Especially loved swimming at Lake McKenzie and the walk through the subtropical rain forest near Central Station. You won't be disappointed with this tour!

We did the 1 day tour with our guide, Andrew and had the best time. Andy was great, super informative and fun and the tour itself was great. The island is amazing with 6 different ecosystems, it feels like you’re going to loads of different places but you’re on the one island! Lake Mackenzie had the most beautiful crystal clear water. Highly recommend this!

Jean (our driver ) on K’gari (Fraser island ) Explorer 4 day tour was nothing short of amazing. He is so knowledgeable on all things K’gari including the history, plants etc but more importantly his driving was fabulous. It would not be easy to drive on the sand and bush tracks there. I am a terribly nervous passenger and I felt comfortable the whole time. Our group just loved him - :) The whole thing was fabulous. We saw all the highlights and I felt it represented excellent value for money. We loved Kingfisher resort. The highlights for me were Lake McKenzie, the walk to Wabby Lake, Eli Creek and champagne pools but it was all totally amazing. Thanks so much Jean :). I highly recommend this tour if you are thinking of going to Fraser Island. Much better than trying to drive yourself around or missing some of the highlights.
