I’m extremely disappointed to hear that my personal sales representative and stylist, Bryant, was let go from the Khaite SoHo store. Bryant was truly one of a kind — a visionary stylist with impeccable taste and the ability to make every client feel their absolute best. He embodied everything the Khaite brand stands for.
This decision feels misguided and out of touch with what loyal clients value most. Whoever made this call clearly didn’t put the brand or its clientele first. Losing Bryant is a huge loss for Khaite — he is irreplaceable.
Again, I visited the boutique today and immediately felt a very toxic atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, no one made eye contact or greeted me. Then, once they realized I might make a purchase, they started following me around the store like shadows.
In particular, Manny and the store manager, Ivan, displayed incredibly unprofessional behavior. Ivan, even in the past, never made eye contact and would walk around texting on his phone, showing zero interest in the boutique’s affairs. Now, the environment feels filled with jealousy — not only toward Bryant, who was the heart of that place, but also among themselves.
Bryant always set the standard for professionalism and genuine care. He would text clients first thing in the morning with new collections, arrange messenger pickups and deliveries right to the door, understand each client’s personal style, and adapt to their needs. That’s what true customer service looks like — something this team has completely lost.
Such attitude and lack of respect are unacceptable for a brand of this reputation. The boutique now feels more like a discount store than a luxury destination. Truly an embarrassment to what should be a respected name.
