"An Architectural and Cultural Gem" Khajuraho Temple is truly a masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture and artistry. The intricate carvings and sculptures are breathtaking, telling stories of life, spirituality, love, and devotion in the most detailed and graceful way. The craftsmanship is so fine that even after centuries, the details remain sharp and mesmerizing. The temple complex is well-maintained, clean, and surrounded by peaceful greenery, making the visit serene and enriching. The light and sound show in the evening beautifully narrates the temple’s history, adding to the experience. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates history, culture, and timeless beauty. The Best time to visit is during winters and monsoon. Avoid in summers.

If you want to see the remnants of prowess of ancient Indian sculptors, you should visit them. The details are immaculate and the weathering is just perfect. Shame we cannot enjoy them in their full glory cause of the barbaric destruction by faithful fanatics.

Very beautiful architecture. Unbelievable design made in ancient time. Very big and quiet temple compound. We hired a guide so he explained everything very deeply. I suggest hire a knowledgeable guide otherwise can’t understand anything.

It's very well maintained and worth the visit once in your lifetime. The history comes alive from the sculptures. A guide is needed to understand the sculptures and vaastu concepts properly. The only con is that there's no proper guide available. It's mentioned in the entry that audio guide is available but the visitor facility is permanently closed so you won't get it. The QR codes are also destroyed from the description panel so you can't access the written info.

🌸 Khajuraho – A Perfect Weekend Getaway 🌸 Khajuraho is an ideal weekend escape from cities like Jhansi, Gwalior, Delhi, Bhopal, Kanpur, Prayagraj (Allahabad), Varanasi, and Lucknow. It is well-connected by rail, road, and even air, with a few flights operating. The town also has a direct Vande Bharat Express from Delhi, making the journey fast and convenient. The highlight of Khajuraho is, of course, its world-famous temples. The Western and Eastern Group of Temples, renowned for their intricate carvings and UNESCO World Heritage status, are a must-visit for anyone traveling here. Beyond the temples, Khajuraho serves as a gateway to some incredible natural attractions. You can plan short trips to the Panna Tiger Reserve for a thrilling safari, the Pandav Falls for a serene break in nature, and the Raneh Waterfalls—a spectacular gorge carved out of volcanic rock, unique in both scale and formation. ✨ The Verdict: With its perfect blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, Khajuraho is not just about temples—it’s a complete travel experience.

Great experience I visited at khajuraho temple in the month of April. I think this was my wrong decision because April month is too warm/Hot month so my recommendation is that plan to visit in winter season. 1. Crafting - What an amazing crafting 2. Culture - you can easily see your traditions and culture which was followed by them. 3. Crafting speak - each and every craft has their own meaning, needs to understand in positive manner. 4. Massacre of Temples by Mugals- as per local peoples, who are living around the temple is stating that Mugals was destroyed all temple's. You can easily see here each and every temple has broken out from somewhere parts. 5. Ticket - Only ₹ 40 per person 6. Premises - 20 Square KM 7. Most Khajuraho temples were built between 885 CE and 1000 CE by the Chandela dynasty.[2][3] Historical records note that the Khajuraho temple site had 85 temples by the 12th century, spread over 20 square kilometres (7.7 sq mi). Of these, only about 25 temples have survived, spread over six square kilometres (2.3 sq mi).[3] Of the surviving temples Recommendation - We should once visit and see our culture.
