Khangkhu Resort

A nice hotel on the periferary of Paro town down towards the airport. It is quite a healthy walk into town so you need to be mobile or arrange transport. A good view of the fortress from the elevated rooms. Good service provided by the friendly staff. The room was spacious but on the cold side as the heater was inadequate for the size of the room at this time of year. The restaurant provided nice tailor-made breakfasts and a nice evening meal though the second evening the meal lacked cohesion and the dishes did not fit well together, though each was tasty in isolation. Vegan diet accommodated upon request.

Superb location on a hill overlooking the Palace and Museum and also Paro airport. Great views of the dramatic landings. About 10m drive to centre of town and also good access to Tigers Nest and other sightseeing places. Rooms are large and adequate for purpose. Bathrooms are good. Staff is friendly and quick and responsive. The food is excellent the Chef Ganesh made some excellent Bhutanese dishes.

Honestly, I think every place in Bhutan has the best view, but my room, at the very top most part, definitely didn’t disappoint! It’s a bit of a climb, especially with luggage, but the staff were super helpful and will give you a hand. As a tropical island girl, I have one tiny comment: I visited in February, and it was really cold. The heaters didn’t quite cut it, and the room wasn’t fully (or not really) insulated, so I ended up wearing three layers under two comforters. The shower wasn’t super warm either, maybe I’m just a cold person(?) That said, the place is absolutely dreamy and perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing about the experience. Also, the teas were perfect! The breakfast too, so delicious!

Fantastic view of airport. Just up the hill from the airport. Very good value for 3 star resort. Approx 40 usd a nite. Spacious rooms. Clean. Didnt try the restaurant. Convenient for a morning flite and if u want to watch the flites landing- have entire view of runway

Stayed here the night before our flight home. Super convenient for our early wake up! Really cute property and comfortable spacious rooms. Only low point was the dinner I had, it was a buffet and was not impressed with the options or the taste of my meal.

Very convenient to the airport and to the various sights in the Paro area. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Most or all have a very nice balcony, from which you can enjoy a view of the valley and of the airport -- don't worry about being kept awake by aircraft, since there are no night flights here.

I wish I could give 0 stars for service. They quote room prices higher than their tariff chart. Needs 2 hours to serve dinner. The room phone is not working, they have no one to fix it. No one to get anything if you ask for it!!

Location is nice, hygiene is proper, but if your stay included meal, then they will only provide that. Other than that if you ask for anything to eat in between then they always say kitchen is closed.
