"The Best Thai Food in Toronto Nothing compares to this place in the world of Thai cuisine in Toronto (though if you want a wee bit of a cheaper eat, Salad King is a good bet). From their street style pad thai, Sam Roas, pictured above, to their succulent Khao Soi, you feel satiated and happy. They also celebrate Thailand's New Year with Songkran, have a special menu, and a full-on water fight!"

This is my second time at Khao San Road, and honestly, this place never disappoints. We arrived on a Saturday night around 8:45 p.m. with a group of five, and it was incredibly packed. It took about 15-20 minutes for our host to attend to us, and in the meantime, we tried speaking to a staff member who seemed flustered. They pointed us to a sign that told us to wait for a host. We tried to be patient, as the place was jam-packed, and we could tell the servers were running around. However, I feel like they should have multiple hosts during such rush hours. Apart from the service, the food was immaculate. Unfortunately, the Pad Kee Mao and Pad Sew Ew were sold out, but we tried most of their popular dishes. The Khao Soi was 10/10; it was so rich and flavorful, one of the best I’ve had. The Green Curry was 7.5/10; it was a very popular dish, but it had a very strong, distinctive taste. The Three Flavour Pad Thai was 10/10; I tried Thai spice, and if you can handle spice, this was incredible. The Bangkok Style Pad Thai was 9.5/10; I don’t have anything to say badly about it, but I definitely preferred the Three Flavour Pad Thai. All the dishes were amazing; you truly can’t go wrong!

We had an incredible experience at Khao San Road! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Thai flavor and cooked to perfection. The Three Flavours Pad Thai and Pad See Ew were absolute standouts — perfectly balanced, rich, and deeply satisfying. The Papaya Salad was fresh and tangy (though I’d prefer it without the dried mini shrimp), and the Green Curry was delicious, just a touch sweeter than my personal taste — but still wonderfully aromatic and comforting. Beyond the amazing food, the service was top-notch — friendly, attentive, and fast. It’s clear the team here takes pride in what they do. Definitely one of the best Thai spots in Toronto. We’ll be back soon!

Khao San Road has been a long-standing pillar of great casual Thai dining in Toronto. As a patron who has followed their journey since their days on Adelaide, I can attest that the restaurant has managed to maintain remarkable consistency and quality in their food, even after relocating. The food here remains the star, delivering big, balanced flavours synonymous with authentic Thai street food. Garlic Chicken (9/10): An outstanding appetizer. The pieces of deep-fried chicken were perfectly executed, achieving a soft, juicy interior with a wonderfully crispy exterior. The addition of lemongrass and garlic was masterful, providing pronounced and aromatic flavours that were elevated further by the accompanying spicy and sweet dipping sauce. The portion size was generous for a starter. Three Flavour Pad Thai with Chicken (9/10): This main dish is a testament to the kitchen’s ability to balance complex flavours. The portion size was exceptionally huge. The tamarind and peanut notes were beautifully harmonized and not overly sweet or heavy. I opted for Level 3 spiciness, which I found to be quite intense, a good warning for those sensitive to heat! The one minor note was the absence of bean sprouts, which I felt slightly missed in the dish's texture profile. Overall, it remains a solid, high-quality Pad Thai. Service was great, attentive, and helpful. Our server, Nhi, deserves special mention. She was prompt in addressing and resolving a minor issue we had, demonstrating a genuine commitment to ensuring a positive dining experience. The atmosphere is casual, yet welcoming, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The only area requiring immediate attention is the second floor washroom facilities. While the rest of the experience was great, I noticed that some stalls were out of toilet paper and paper towels needed restocking. A little more vigilance in maintaining these facilities would complete the overall excellent dining experience. Khao San Road is a highly reliable and recommended destination for casual Thai fare. The food is consistently flavourful, the service is great, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. We will certainly continue to dine here and appreciate the quality and care that has been maintained over the years.

One of the best thai places I have ever been to. I am in love with their khao soi. I really enjoyed all the dishes I ordered. Definitely try their thai iced tea. There is a wait time to get a table as the place is fully packed in the night so if you are going for dinner, plan it accordingly. The place has authentic feel too, but it is a bit noisy as it is crowded.

Went here last month for the first time! The decoration and overall design of the restaurant are really nice. What surprised me most was when I went upstairs to the washroom, there’s actually a huge space that seems to open at certain times as a bar. There’s a bartender, a full bar counter, and the vibe completely shifts from bright and sunny to a darker atmosphere with purple LED lights!!!Prefect for a late-night bar feel! For the food, it was pretty good overall. The fried shrimp was very crispy. I tried the green curry (can’t remember the exact name), and the sauce was tasty, though the chicken was a little dry and the curry more liquidy than I personally prefer (I usually like a thicker version). The other rice were really good, though! The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the white soup. It had a sour-salty flavor combination that doesn’t sit well with me, and it even gave me a bit of a stomach ache. That’s just a personal taste thing, not the restaurant’s fault. If you enjoy those kinds of flavors, you might love it, but I wouldn’t order it again myself. Definitely coming back to try the desserts!

Came here on a Tuesday night at 8:45PM and we were able to get seated for 6 people immediately. I haven't been here in years and this place is still solid for Thai food. I got the Bangkok-style pad thai with chicken. I was surprised by how big the portion was. The pad thai also tasted more on the sweeter side, so I'm curious to try the three flavour pad thai next time. Overall it hit my thai food craving. Would recommend and come back.

PAI for those who don’t want to have to reserve a month in advance. I’ve been to both several times and I’ll be honest, they’re on the same level. Prices are reasonable and flavors are great. Expect 30 min plus line during weekend evenings, but there’s a cozy bar upstairs where you can wait. Service was good overall. Perfect to catch up with friends. Special shout-out to the green curry, the table favorite. We wanted to order more rice just to make the curry last a little longer.

Wow. No words to describe how delicious this place is. We came on a Tuesday for lunch not expecting it to be that busy, there was a lineup at the door. They ended up getting us in so quickly it was unfathomable. The service was top-notch, the food was exactly like in Thailand. Our server Ploy K was super accommodating and very friendly. She talked to us about the menu options and give us some suggestions. She followed up at least four times throughout our meal and was very fast with responding. This place is my favorite Thai place in Toronto for sure! If I could get them 10 Stars I would
