Khao Soi Samer Jai   - SilverKris

"A perennial favorite among locals for Chiang Mai’s iconic khao soi, this bustling hawker-court-style spot beside a temple and the Ping River serves a signature bowl piled with tender beef or chicken, springy egg noodles and a rich, coconut-laced curry broth. The menu extends beyond khao soi to a full spread of northern Thai staples, including khanom jeen nam ngiaw (fermented rice noodles in a tangy tomato-based pork curry) and tam khanun (spicy pounded jackfruit). Come hungry and expect a crowd." - SilverKris

Great food at increíble price. No nonsense place, which looks average and lacking anything special, but they deliver excellent food consistently. I recommend the jackfruit paste (than khanun) and the rice mixed pork in banana leaf (kao jeaw).

In my opinion this Khao Soi spot is by far the most authentic out of all Khao Soi spots in all of Chiang Mai!! Broth is rich and flavorful and made with quality ingredients. Price is very affordable for the amount of food given. Please don’t fall for all these other “wanna be” foreign flavor (weak and watered down). This place also offers other noodle dish and appetizers other than Khao Soi! Their Pork Satay is also delicious, the sauce is flavorful with slight spice. The fried wontons and Nam Prik Num is also delicious with pork rinds!! This spot is a must and is one of our frequent spots here in Chiang Mai!! You will not be disappointed!!

Normal Khao soi taste. Noodle a bit soft, personal opinions

A very local Khao Soi restaurant. We heard it mainly caters to tourists. We ordered two pork Khao Soi; the curry flavor was a bit spicy and a bit sweet, but the portions were small. Additionally, we ordered their fish cakes, which were very delicious. You could really taste the fish, and my husband said they were better than those at Nara in Bangkok. The spicy sausage was just average. The restaurant seemed to have a lot of staff, but it looked like only one or two were serving foreign tourists. They had a QR code payment option, but we tried several times and it didn’t work, so we had to pay with cash.

One of the most authentic and it’s actually where local eats. Good choice for Khao-soi in Chiang Mai. The service is very fast and straightforward.

Delicious northern food and not expensive. Beef Kao soi is spicy 🥵 for me, pork satay is tender. Rice noodles with red curry fish is ok, not spicy.

My favorite original Khao Soi yellow curry noodle. The soup here is creamy and thick. Add a little chili oil to complete the recipe to deliciousness. The place also sells other famous northern cuisine dishes like sausages and Larb minced pork salad. Their satays are not bad. Good parking space at a temple nearby.

Just by entering the place you would find mini stalls which has a display of each and every dishes which will tingle your appetite if you are pork lover especially. Tried their Pork Satay which was served with salad and fresh peanut sauce is one among the best I ever tasted. Khao soi with Chicken had that knock out punch and a kick with its spiciness. The curry and noodles tasted amazing will definitely make you sweat a lot be prepared but you can't stop eating even if your mouth burns. The accompaniments on the table is also interesting with fresh sauce.. Food was cheap as well. Local thai restaurant atmosphere. Must try place.
