14 Best Beaches in Thailand

"This laid-back coastal escape lies less than three hours from the capital. A go-to for Bangkok locals looking to escape the smog and traffic of the city, Hua Hin is home to wellness retreats and beach resorts. One of the most beautiful places for a dip is Khao Takiab Beach. Next to a fishing harbor, you can spend the day on a beach bed and then grab fresh seafood as the sun dips below the horizon." - Katie Lockhart Katie Lockhart Katie is a freelance travel and food journalist specializing in luxury brands and hotels. Ooh so many monkeys!! Quiet, peaceful beach. Lots of beachside restaurants Many boats offering sunset tours I went to find a quiet place to read. Was not disappointed. If you're looking for a quiet, chilled vibe this may be the place for you

One of the best beaches that I found in Thailand. Really local feel. Not overly crowded. Would recommend visiting.

Worst beach on my thailand trip. Plastic waste every where. Full of tourists. Sunbed after sunbed on the whole beach, i had to walk trough the water to get away from them. Water is dirty and they habe jetski and bananaboat there. Many sandbags all over the place to build some small good stands on it.

Great beach. We were on the beach section associated with the Anantasila hotel, near to the harbour and rock. Soft sand, clean in the section we were in and the water was great for swimming (didn't spot any jelly fish). It was high tide and we originally went to Hua Hin beach (where there was no beach because the tide was so high and the waves were rough!). Much more sheltered here and a good section of beach even at the high tide. Service from the hotel was excellent (we paid 500THB for day pass and got loungers, could use the pool, showers, etc). You could try the other sections, which might be cheaper. Mix of people, relaxed atmosphere, lots of Europeans and also Thais. Yes there were two or three horses and later on there were some dogs but neither were intrusive at all.

Another beach in Hua Hin, very big one, but sand is grey unlike Hua Hin Beach. However, it is still a nice and clean beach.

I visited during the Songkran holiday, but it is a good place where there are not many people and the sunrise can be seen beautifully. In particular, rocky mountains create a special mood. The wind is very strong!
